Title says it all.

Which is the best hero to have the most impact upon the game in order to win? Asking this because of the matches when some teammates are dragging you down and you cannot do much. :D

Sorta depends what MMR you're at. Pubstomp Heroes like Nova or Zeratul can be really effective when your opponents aren't sure how to play against them, Illidan is another one that can even work at high MMR if you have support(s).

Illidan needs support(s) as an enabler though, so kind of risky to pick into Quick Matches.

IMO There are two ways to carry games: Be an excellent high-DPS/high-impact Hero, or be a split-push genius with a Specialist such as Sylvanas or even Gazlowe.

The latter will take more practice and have more conditions in order to work, but the best high-impact Heroes I play with in no particular order are:

Zeratul, Muradin, Illidan, Sylvanas, or Falstad. Kerrigan is also a really great one if you're good at her but I haven't played her much.

The two best Heroes to stomp new players/unorganized teams would have to be Nova and Zeratul, since new players are generally terrible at dealing with stealth characters (for example Shaco in LoL or Riki in Dota2), they also tend to overextend, stay at low health in lane and underestimate the burst potential of these two Heroes.

Also, Heroes with lots of AoE damage seem to do well vs newer player/unorganized teams (people love to clump up), so I would suggest trying out Nazeebo for his Ravenous Spirit, Zagara for her Devouring Maw and Jaina for her Ring of Frost.

I see.

I've already played a lot of Nova and Zeratul but they're easily countered at higher levels it seems. Also, it seems like my win rate is really high with Illidan (about 70%), I haven't played ranked matchmaking yet since I'm only level 26 but I have a lot of experience with MOBAs and I look forward to climbing the ladder later on.

Thanks for the answers!

Raynor is a underutilized late game carry. With Berserking and Seasoned Marksman talents and his inspire he can shred through anything late game. He is vulnerable, but if you just avoid getting jumped and play hard to get in team fights you can kill the bruisers that try to get to you.

If you can't carry as E.T.C. there's something seriously wrong with your gameplay.
I haven't tried Zeratul yet but Nova is actually really hard to get the hang of, let alone consistently get kills.
