Nova nova can never ever hurt you if you play with just half a head. get good at spotting her to really shut her down, but with your hp pool, its not even nessesary.

Brightwing Has polymorph, which stops gall casting and interupts your fist-escape
8
Leoric unless he has <30% hp, escape his drain attack when he puts it on you. it deals dmg in respect to your max hp, but can be stopped by molten block
9
Raynor Giantkiller + lots of hp, this guy must not be underestimated. he cant solo you+gall, but dont let him shoot you without shooting back.
9
Kharazim seven sided strike kills. stop it with molten block, or run to somewhere less dangerous. otherwise, he cant do anything if you stay just outside his AA range.

General notes on the build Top

This build is not for new players. its not easy, and it doesnt feel good if you cant land your Runic Bomb. It requirres A LOT of patience, and needs you to often stand at the edge of the fight, instead of at the middle of the battle, so you can land better Runic Bombs. Runic Bomb is your main ability with this build, and it only works if your Gall is also patient and has some skill with his skill-shots. Because this build relies on letting Gall do almost all of the damage.
But if you're good with skillshots (namely Runic Bomb), And you posses the will to win, this build WINS GAMES, and feels super great. Feel like a god. Stop trying to make AA Cho happen. Its not going to happen.

Talents Explained and alternative talents Top

Fuel for the Flame

There is never ever any reason I would pick the Blazing Bulwark talent at this tier. you will never get as much out of it as a normal block talent. In the early game, you can trade -> self heal -> trade again to really bully your opponent. Surging Dash works alright as an alternative: it gives you a longer escape, but i dont feel i ever need a longer surging dash. I do like trading. And being a bully <3.

Rollback
This is one of the more important and impactful talents. I never take anything else: it does so much good for you and your partner. It gives Gall a LOT more time to explode the bomb, and people often forget that it comes back. If you get good at repositioning yourself, you can even cast the bomb and completely miss, but then sprint in behind your enemies, to allow the bomb to hit multiple targets. Also, your part of the damage this spell can do is doubled: when the bomb changes direction (either when Gall activates it, or when it reaches max distance) it acts instantly as a new misile, able to do new damage to any target it passes through.
And for the love of god stop trying to make AA Cho happen. its not strong, its risky, and yes, it feels great to smack someone in the head with a fist and watch them take 179 dmg at lvl 4, but it is NOT strong. This is. dont take the other talents. Seared flesh gives you 3 AA with +25% dmg IF YOU CAN AA your targets! they fear you, they dont want you to hit them unless they're really tanky. Runed Gauntlet: i say the same thing: every 8 seconds, you can get +75% dmg on 1 basic attack, or, give Gall a much better chance of doing his tremendous 321 dmg with blast (at lvl 4) AND deal your own 106 dmg 2 times (potentially).

Power Surge
I vary alot between this talent and Flame Eater. Both are really good for keeping us alive, but i only take fire-eater if they have ALOT of melees and we dont have enough heal on our team. The Fire Eater talent works on forts aswell, so taking these down becomes alot easier, but Power Surge is by far the safe talent, and as I want my Gall to pick Dark Decent at the same tier, safe is the way to go.

Ultimate
Pick whatever ult you find best suits your opponents composision. if you die alot to their butcher, Hammer of Twilight saves alot of lives, but upheaval put together with Gall's Twisting nether anhihilates all the poor bastards. its tons of fun, but staying alive is usually better. especially with Dark Decent on Gall. At lvl 20, picking twilights hammer's upgrade makes your basic attacks ranged... and scary.

Molten Block
People are always gonna want to kill you: its 2 kills, and they will burn their "not-instant-casted-abilities" on you. Get molten block, and completely negate Kharazims 7-sided strike, any Nova ult, Leorics March-ult or his soul drain and so on and so on. trade a lvl 13 talent for an ult on the enemies team, yes please. and yes, sometimes it just delays the innevitable and you die anyway, but more often than not, this helps us STAY ALIVE and keep our Dark Decent stacks ;)
note: I AM Hurrying! is a decent talent if your Gall is communicating well, and Runic Feedback is fun when playing vs morons and you're 3 lvls ahead... but Molten block is just safer.

Surge of Stamina
this feels like the safe talent of its tier. I dont think you should use Surging fist to engage fights, but if you do, this helps ALOT. 4 seconds of 25% reduction is ALOT when the enemy team has nothing to shoot but your 2 heads. It also helps negate some damage when escaping in a clinch, and overall, i like this better than Twilight Veil, even though it seems defensive as well. the problem is, that you kinda want to use Consuming Blaze ON COOLDOWN, to get as much self heal as possible, and you dont nessesarily get to hit alot of heroes with it.

At lvl 20, pick any talent that suits you. alot can be said, but they're all viable in their own situations, and your playstyle and skill is more important than what talent you pick at this tier.

Early game strategy Top

Start every game by thinking like a bully:
How can i make my enemy cry in this map?Take out their fountain!
Now in all maps, you can throw in a runic bomb through the wall and have Gall detonate it as it hits the enemy fountain + let Gall use his Dread Orb (W) to siege the fountain down to 0 hp slowly. BUT if the enemy team sees you, they're gonna try to stop you. On one map though: Infernal Shrines, you can walk right up to the fountain in the botlane and wreck it with your powerful fist. You actually have a long range on your AA, and when you do this, they will lose the fountain before realizing whats going on. on some maps, you can stand on the other side of a neutral wall/bush and let Gall be in range of the fountain with his Shadowflame (Q), which also puts down the fountain quite quick. You dont know how horrible it is to lose your laning fountain, until you've lost it before you've used it. Bully.
As Cho'Gall however, we dont need mana, and we have alot of self-sustain, so trading and harrasing your lane-opponents in the early game is easy, fun and makes them cry. Dont go for the kills if it puts you in any risk. Early game, you dont have alot of burst, especially without dark decent before lvl 7. And kills dont mean that much to you.

Mid to Late Game Top

Dont Die. Ever. Dont trade your life for anything less than 4 secured kills. whatch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJX-w5tUE4k&t=0m8s
If I die more than 2 times in a match with Cho, I appologize to Gall and my team. You have the biggest hp pool in the game, and 2 "soft escapes" + molten block. it is possible to never die, even in a game where the opponents are playing like pro's. You have to be better. This champion is not noob friendly. It is a big responsibility, to play with your own AND Gall's lives. This is why i dont like the AA builds for this hero: it makes you want to go in to the flames of death and battle, to get 1 or 2 auto attacks in, that will maybe kill someone, but definately put you at GREAT risk of dying. This build is meant to keep you Alive, and let Gall do the most damage. Gall is ALWAYS top DPS in both categories, if you let him stay alive, and be agressive with his talents. And if you can land those Runic Bombs.
