JainaProudmoore is a Ranged Assassin from the Warcraft Universe, she is a master spellcaster, trained by the legendary Archmage Antonidas himself. Brilliant, courageous, and wise, it was Jaina who led the survivors of the Scourge of Lordaeron to safety. But don’t mistake her graciousness for weakness, or she will gladly demonstrate to you the folly of picking a fight with a sorceress.

Jaina has multiple area-of-effect damage spells. Slows and freezes. We will look at several builds throughout this guide, but remember it is up to you to decide which build fits best in your team!

This guide will be continually updated with information as i get it and video's later down the line.
Please leave feedback if you love or hate the build!

Jaina is rated as the hardest hitting hero in the game with her abilities mainly focused around AOE damage. She has a low complexity rating from Blizzard and should be easy enough for players of all skill levels to pick up and play.

(Q) Frostbolt
Deals 65 (+15 per level) damage and chills targets. The cool-down of this ability is 4 seconds so should be spammed often to apply your slow trait to the target.
(W) Blizzard
Bombard an area with 2 waves of ice, dealing 61 (+16 per level) damage each. Damaged enemies are Chilled. This is Jaina's best ability. Used as part of a combo to large group of enemy heroes or Minion wave's.
(E) Cone of Cold
Deal 73 (+18 per level) damage and Chill targets. When talented with Northern Exposure at level 16 Cone of Cold becomes a great opener for your combo. Prior to Level 16 it is still a great opener, just not as efficient and can be swapped out depending on the situation.
(D) Frostbite
This is your passive trait, all abilities Chill targets, slowing Movement Speed by 25% and amplifying damage from your abilities by 50%. Arguably this is the most useful trait in the game and is the reason Jaina is a tier 1 pick in the competitive scene.

(R) Ring of Frost
This is one of Jaina's ultimate abilities that you can choose at level 10. After a 1.5 second delay, create a Ring of Frost in an area that deals 224 (+24 per level) damage and roots enemies for 3 seconds. The ring persists for 3 seconds afterward, Chilling any enemies who touch it.
(R) Summon Water Elemental
This is Jaina's go to ultimate ability at level 10. It summons a Water Elemental at target location. The Water Elemental's Basic Attacks do 56 (+6 per level) damage, splash for 25% damage and Chill. Can reactivate the Ability to retarget the Water Elemental. Lasts 20 seconds.

Before we get into the nitty gritty of the talent choices, you need to remember that no build out their is going to be right for all situations and you need to ensure you are thinking about your talent choices depending on the game currently in progress. For instance i usually take Improved Ice Block, however if i've not been having any issues with survivability i'd probably take one of the other options at that tier instead.

Hunter-Gatherer - This is your go to talent for both Assassin and Specialist builds. Collect health globes and permanently increase your health regeneration by 1 per second. This talent really pays off late game.
Block - If you decided to go with a tanking build, then Block is a must have talent. It periodically reduces the damage taken by enemy heroes basic attacks by 50%. It can also stack up twice!
Survivalist Training - Restores 100% more mana from regeneration globes. Rexxar can have some mana issues sometimes, but i never choose this talent because the need for mana never outweighed the need for healt regeneration or damage reduction!
Flare - This is an interesting talent and if you have a Nova or Zeratul in the enemy team you may want to consider taking it. Flare reveals an entire selected area for 5 seconds. AKA the anti-stealth talent.
