Is is just me that think its sad that this is the only viable build for this hero at all ?, i mean i've tried other stuff but its just not working.. Kinda sucks that you are stuck to one build all the time with this hero.

Still it is a great build but i would like a more one hit build using pyroblast , hope Blizzard makes some changes to his talants soon..

There's plenty of flexibility in builds based on the teams. Now, there are several trap talents, as I explain in my guide, but still, you tend to have at least 2 talents that are at least decent in each tier, and sometimes 3.

I feel your pain there, I have toyed around with other builds but nothing is as fierce as Chain Bomb

Actually the build and Notes are up to date. Also, if you had any idea how much work went into a guide, you might be a bit more respectful. I don't get paid for this and having the monk release and sweeping changes on Kael'Thas was a ton of work. I also wanted to take the time to play test Kael'Thas to ensure I had the best build and information ready for the guide update.

I think I am ready now:

Anub gets blown up by chain bombs!

This is just a taste of the "new" old KT. I will update the guide over the weekend! I have been very busy with the monk.

Agh, the removal of Ignite hurts, and Fury of the Sunwell isn't exactly placating me, since you seldom land both hits. I do enjoy being able to slow the whole enemy team, but I miss the damage and poke that came from flamethrower ignite.

The new chain bombs is doing ridiculous damage and I love the ease of use from the buffed Netherewind talent

Now that Ignite is being deleted are you going to be doing a rewrite of this guide?

Correct - I will be updating the guide when the PTR goes live. It is actually a bit funny because Chain Bomb will be the go to talent now, so this will be the 3rd rewrite of the guide :)

Hi and thanks for such awesome guide! It helps alot with playing Kaelthas. Your build is (in my opinion) best build for kael on heroesfire. But I've experienced that while playing vs zeratul/nova Arcane Barrier (lvl 16 talent) works pretty well because when you are both at lvl 16 they can really take you down with their combo (you lose much dmg from not choosing ignite, but you get really good survi). In any other cases - this build just ROCK!

Thanks for the comments!

I think even with a Nova or Zeratul, Arcane Barrier is not a great choice. The level 16 talent, Ignite is a GIANT power spike and KT isn't as much of a threat without it. You need to be keen on using your Gravity Lapse as Nova/Zeratul open on you - find your nearest support and cross your fingers! Additionally, your positioning is extremely important. You should be at nearly max range with your Flamethrower, which will cause Nova and Zeratul to dive deep to open on you. This will put them in a very risky spot and your team can immediately turn and make them go poof!
