IMPORTANT UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM

In order to put this entire build into perspective, I'm going to break down the important parts tied into picking Transcendence.

1) You only gain the benefit of the mana free healing as long as you are attacking.
2) Picking this talent immediately puts you in a position where you are expected to attack at all times.
3) Your mana bar becomes an extreme liability in team fights before long.
4) You can absolutely tank camps alone which is a very nice upside.
5) Although time you spend alone at a camp is also time you spend away from your team.

Long story short, picking transcendence puts you in a role where you ABSOLUTELY need to spend 90% of the game attacking something. If you aren't attacking, you aren't healing. And if you aren't healing, your teammates are going to bash you over things they aren't seeing. Also if you are low health and out of mana, you will not be able to auto attack your way back to health. YES transcendence seems like the best pick at level 1 (especially in the early game)...but Kharazim is only as tier one as his mana allows him to be.

Enter Insight. With insight you have NONE of the issues listed above. AND despite what you may be thinking, your healing output is actually BETTER. I have gone head to head with every healer in the game and outplayed them (healing wise) in embarrassing fashion countless times.

Why does it work?

Long story short, Kharazims breath of heaven is extremely good as it scales up. Each added talent picked up just buffs his healing ability in a major way (save for level 13). In other words while transcendence may be the better trait pick from level 1-3...Insight is the better trait pick from 4-30. That's a very worth it trade off when factoring in the bigger picture. The monk is only as good as his mana pool allows him to be. And with Insight you NEVER feel pressured to jump into questionable fights JUST to heal others. You can heal comfortably at your own pace. And effectively as well. Even when going head to head with other Kharazims that pick transcendence, I constantly out heal them by AT LEAST 20,000. That's huge. Insight is the very thing that allows you to play Kharazim from any distance basically. Be it on the front lines with the tanks. Or the back lines like a conventional healer. No downsides whatsoever.

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: SAVE YOUR DASHES FOR YOUR TEAMMATES ONLY. And do not stray from the build listed. the ONLY level that is flexible is 13. By all means pick whatever you want at 13. But DO NOT get cute and go damage at ANY point. Trust me it becomes noticeable. Fast.

UPDATE INFO:

The new Insight actually runs parallel with a lot of what I was saying about transcendence before. Because it is now an active quest, you need to actively attack as many things as possible to complete said quest. The payoff though is STILL light years better than Transcendence though in my opinion. After 100 stacks you get battle momentum. Which in turn lets you spam of all of your basic abilities. And because you are always getting back mana...you can do this seemingly forever so long as you dont get killed. Happy hunting.
