Hello, i am MyLittleWeirdFriend, also knows as MyLitleBrony, im a heroes player and i play for team validus.
i have been hyping the vikings for sooo long, and this is my understanding of them so far. i will make another one once ive mastered them.
remember before lvl 4 on the vikings, they are useless, they cant use the key talents and they are just going to die all the time.
i want to apologize in advance for bad english, im from sweden it wont be perfect.

this is also the first time ive used this site, i dont know anything to make this look good yet, to display the skills as images, i will look into that just wanted to get this out first. the second guide will look nicer, and probably be better. no one knows exactly how the vkings should be played yet, they got released yesterday in Na today in Eu.

ok so the vikngs is 3 heroes in one. you got Erik The Swift Baelog The Fierce And olaf the stout. this makes them extremly hard to play and master, all the basic abilities is unlocked by talents, and you can move between them using 1,2,3,4 if u havent keybinded otherwise.

Erik The Swift: Erik, since he is faster i quickly found a weakness in him, he got to places faster which ment he got killed faster, and if you have all 4 toggled all the time this isnt possible to play around, so therefor i started playing with Erik as his own charactr, i move with him apart from the 2 other vikings, turning that weakness into an advantage. so in the soaking phase (lvl 1-10) i roam around with Erik, i try to see if i can help other lanes with the damage, altough i do this with caution because a death gives away xp, i use him to gain vision quickly running around the map at all time, trying to gank when i see opertunity. when the team fight phase starts i start joining the team with this guy. but i still keep him apart from the other 2 vikings except to run in and use Spin To Win ! for as much damage as possible, Erik is the playmaker,

Baelog The Fierce And Olaf The Stout: these 2 are bros, i keep these 2 together all the game, (except for when they die) in the soaking phase (lvls 1-10) i use these to soak, during these parts i useally focus mostly on Erik, but you will still have to jump and play these guys so that they dont die, but they are mostly soaking. and when teamfights start they are still mostly connected, and i just do what i can, try to get the Spin To Win ! to hit with all 3. not much to say u right click with them ;D.

Camps: these guys are amazing at getting camps, and can do the bruisers and siege by themselves even in the early levels, because of Olafs regen this is extremely easy, just press 1 to select olaf make sure that he runs in at first, then u select the other 2 and keep them at range dealing damage, this will give your team such an advantage, (u need all 3 to safely do this)

Teamfights: how i play the vikings in teamfights is that im constantly jumping back and forth between selectng all the vikings with (4) and Erik With (3) i use erik running around in circles trying to get as much damage as possible without him dying, then when i press 4 to select all i focus one target and use Spin To Win !, then i make sure that olaf and baelog is in a good spot and press (3) to select Erik and move around dealing damage, Eriks speed will cause him into being alone anyways if you just keep selecting all the vikings causing in him dying, Erik is your most valuable, because he can safely deal damage from range and got his speed, if he is left alone he can do stuff, olaf and baelog can only wait for the others pretty much, this is the method i use and that have given me great succes,

Ultimate: If you go with the boat, i use this simular to the tychus ult, its a second life bar, i use it to save one of the vikings and then i can deal damage, you could also use it for comboing if their team is getting stunned use the boat, it will do alot of damage, dont use this to chase, its slow and they will get away, Erik is good enough for chasing. also its stronger the more vikings it got, try to get all into it ;D.
i havent used the other ult much yet, not sure if it would even be viable in comparision, maybe if you did a more splitting up build, focusing more on each vikings special abilities then them as a team.

Tier 1-The Viking Hoard: i pick this mostly to survive the laning phase, giving Olaf and Baelog sustain aswell as helping Erik ganking by picking up orbs, he will be able to do this mid fight because of his speed. not so sure about the other 2, maybe the cloak on erik could be usefull with this playstyle focused on using Erik this much
but the block for olaf i havent found it keeping the vikings alive longer, even if olaf might , but he cant peal very well for the others. and the Vikint Hoard helps everyone and not just one of the vikings.

Tier 2-Spin To Win !: Spin To Win !, this is important its a core ability, this gives the vikings so so much !. it gives them burst, burst that can be used to take camps, burst heroes, burst towers, if you dont take this you wont be able to do much with the vikings.

Tier 3-Jump- im not sure if this is the best, but it gives the option to keep the vikings alive longer which means they can use Spin To Win ! more often, but im thinking of trying out the heal on movemen thing for Erik, since my play style is focused so much around Erik. the mercenary lord isnt very good in my opinion and baelogs atack sped does not give much either.

Tier 4-Longboat Raid!: for the ultimate ability, i think this is the stronger option, it gives them aoe damage aswell as the possibility to win teamfights, a well timed LongBoat Raid! does so much for the team, it also give the vikings an extra healthbar. altough i havent tried out the other one long enough to be sure. pick the ones that you enjoy the most ;D.

Tier 5-Impatience Is A Virtue: reducing cooldowns on all abilities, aswell as Spin To Win! thats just great, the stun from olaf could possibly be a viable pick but im not completly sure about that. this gives something to all the vikings, i think that its often better then giving traits to just one of them, aswell as having 3 vikings auto atack at the same time reduces the cooldowns quite abit, so u can jump more often, u can spin to win more often , as well as using the shield more often. i dont think speedrun is good enough compared to the survivability you gain from jump.

Tier 6-Norse Force!: give a shield to your vikings, that gets stronger the more vikings u have alive, the vikings is easily killed, this shield helps them survive, and gives them opertunity to fight instead of backing of, before i could pick this i had to back of all the tim, the Tier 5 talent will reduce the cooldown of this aswell making it amazing, and upgrading your mount is rarely a good idea in my opinion.

Tier 7-Ragnarok n Roll: adds more to the ultimate, a solid talent, altough i do think that The Sequel! might be stronger, i justh avent played around with it yet, but since the talent which got removed (resurgance of the storm i think ti was called) was op since no death timers at a cooldown, this is reduced but it got no cooldown, i would recomend trying both, and try to see which gives you the most value, please comment below your opinion on this one ;D.
