Whilst Unending hatred sounds absolutely brilliant, immolation is just better. Throughout the course of the game, immolation will be doing more damage than Unending hatred allows you to do and, as an added bonus, the damage is done to all enemies around you!

Now, I know what you're thinking, "But Solar, unending hatred will be up all the time due to the fact that it's attached to your basic attacks, won't it do more damage?" You're correct, it will always be up, however, you're Illidan, your basic attacks reduce the cooldowns of your abilities, and because of that, you can keep immolation up constantly AND it does more damage! Isn't that great? More wave clear and more hero damage, what more could you ask for.

Another thing immolation is great for is ganking. With unending hatred, you have to stay in lane all the time if you want to stack it to its greatest potential or make sure you're killing a lot of people, with immolation, you don't. You get much more damage a lot earlier with it and you don't have to worry about stacking it! YAY!

You can swap out talents, don't worry!

It all depends on the match up and what talents your enemies are taking. For example, if you are put against a kael'thas, jaina, or any mage type, you may want to take sixth sense instead of nimble defender, same goes for if an enemy falstad is building ability damage.

However, if you're against another illidan or thrall or raynor or falstad building attack damage (just a few examples, if you see an attack damage builder just do this), you will want to keep nimble defender or take elusive strike so you can have evasion up more often or you can also take reflexive block at level 7 to defend against their attacks.

If you're doing a lot of chasing in a game, you may want to pick up Marked for Death at level 16 to kill them faster as you can't get auto attacks off easily.

If you can't seem to get away from an enemy or their team, try getting Unbound at level 4 so you can traverse through walls to escape or grab bolt of the storm at level 20.

Really it's up to you what you build, and it's important that you build correctly!

As Illidan, it is your job to deal damage and murder everyone. You want to be as efficient as possible!

Focus Order
Supports > Damage dealers > Tanks

Never ever focus tanks in a team fight, it will lose you the battle as all of your teams abilities will be used up and the person you just used them on will still be alive. Yes, you can focus a tank if there team isn't even there, it's a free kill, but never focus tanks in a team fight, especially if it's

Make sure to communicate with your team and tell them you're going for the supports and damage dealers first as they can aid you in you goal.
