Scout

The Boston Bruiser

Originally from Boston, MA, the Scout was brought to the Nexus after a licensing discrepancy. He joins Heroes of the Storm as a fragile but high damage ranged assassin.

The scout can fulfill two roles, and can be built to exploit the weaknesses in your enemies defenses. 

The Scout can either be built as a solo assassin, being able to catch opponents offguard and retreat before their allies have a chance to react. Using his high speed and mobility, he emerges from the bushes and can chase down low health heroes. 

The Scout can also be built as an annoying unswattable fly. Being able to out range enemy melee heroes whilst also avoiding their distance closing abilities. While the scout won't do as much damage with this build, he will annoy the hell outta the enemy tanks and melee heroes.

Strengths

- High risk/high reward hero - He can deal a large amount of damage, but has a limited range on his strongest attack.

- Solo assassin - Has a multitude of talents which can return health to himself allowing him to be a sustainable laner and can outlast many low burst heroes such as Thrall and Falstad.

- Highly mobile - the scout has many ways to deal with attackers, allowing him to disengage from a unfavorable fight, or chase down vulnerable heroes.

Weaknesses

- Positioning is key - For the Scout to be effective he needs to be close to the enemy heroes. If the Scout cannot get close enough to use Scattergun, he will not be particularly strong. 

- Glasscannon - While the Scout does have a number of defensive abilities, he does pay with a very low health pool. This means, if he is caught in a stun he can be blown up very quickly before he can escape.

Scattergun
Fire a short range scattergun in a line infront of you, dealing 60 (+12 per level) damage along its path.

Become invulnerable for 7 seconds, during this time you become unstoppable but cannot attack or use abilities. (can deactivate)

The Sandman
Hit a baseball in a straight line in front of you. Dealing 70 (+13 per level) damage and stunning the first target for 1 second.

Heroic Abilities

Mad Milk
Throw a jar of milk to a target point, enemies in the area are afflicted by Mad Milk. All damage done to a target afflicted by Mad Milk will receive 20% of the damage dealt is returned as health. Lasts 6 seconds.

Crit-a-Cola
Activate to increase all damage done by 25%, however you become vulnerable, increasing damage taken by 25%. Lasts 8 seconds.

Talents

Level 1 

Force-a-Nature - Your Scattergun also knocks the target back a small distance

Shortstop - Scattergun can be recast within 3 second for 50% damage

Back scatter - Deal 25% more damage with Scattergun when behind the target

Baby Face's Blaster - Build hype through moving, when the hype meter is full, your next Scattergun will deal 35% more damage.

Level 4

Winger - Your basic attacks deal 10% more damage.

Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol - Basic attacks heal for 15% of the damage dealt to the primary target.

Flying guillotine - Fire a long range guillotine in a straight line in front of you, dealing 109.88 (+15.92per level) damage over 10 seconds.

30 second cooldown.


Level 7

Boston Basher - Your sandman now also causes the target to bleed causing 48 (+12 damage per level) damage over 5 seconds.

Fan o' War - Your sandman now deals 75% less damage but enemies who are stunned take 35% more damage for the duration.

Candy Cane - Your sandman now heals for 50% of the damage dealt.


Level 13

7 Older brothers - Basic Attacks against enemy Heroes deal bonus damage equal to 1.5% of the Hero's maximum Health.

Strike 2! - If Sandman stuns a target it will rebound to hit another target within a small area. The stun duration for the second target is 0.5 second. 

Hey Doc! - You receive 50% more healing when below 50% health.

Brother, I hurt people - Scattergun deals 15% more damage.

Level 16

Homerun - Increase the max range of The Sandman by 25%, The Sandman also deals 75% more damage to far away targets

YOU. ARE. TERRIBLE. - The cooldown of Scattergun is reset if an enemy hero is killed 3 seconds after you use it.

Cherry Fission - You can use abilities while BONK! Atomic punch but at a 50% damage penalty

Blutonium Berry - While BONK! Atomic punch is active, you deal 36 (+6 per level) damage to nearby enemies.


Level 20

Calcium Supplement - Your mad milk now slows afflicted enemies by 25% for the duration.

Resealable cap - Your Crit-a-Cola can be turned off and will reduce the cooldown for each second remaining.

Nexus Frenzy - Increases Attack Speed by 20% and Attack Range by 20%.

Batter Up! - Your basic attack is 100% faster but is limited to melee range.
