Zen'tabra

Shapeshifting Druidess

A multicass hero who can tap on different roles but must chose one to excel.

Back in time, when Zalazane slowly cut off from the loa and caused many trolls to be powerless, Zentabra had a vision in which she was approach by the ancient raptor loa Gonk and transported to the Emerald Dream. from Gonk Zentabra learned a new form of druidism and leaded many trolls on it's path, keeping the Echo Isles alive until Vol'jin returned to reclaim their home.
She is also the one responsible for having the Cenarion Circle accepting the Darkspear tribe into their hanks and helped in the defense of Hyjal during the Assault on the Firelands.

Design

Zen'tabra is a versatile hero that can swap between multiple roles but will eventually focus in one of them, making it the main role. She can still tap in different roles but this is just situational since being in a different role that she is not focusing talents will create a gap on team.

Her heroic talents are avaiable both at 10 and 20. So she can pick up to two heroic by level 20, similar to alarak, improving her versatility.
Zen'tabra has two different traits, the basic and heroic. In any circunstance the heroic trait is exclusive to it's aspect, while basic trate can be talented to benefit every aspect. This, for exemple, can make a Warrior-focused Zen'tabra be a tankish assassin on 1v1, but if her main role is warrior, she'll need the Direhorn kit to protect her team.

This is a complex hero that requires managing different kits and mana, since shapeshifting uses a lot of her mana. But if played well, her versatility creates a very unique and fun gameplay, always challenging and adaptive.

The animals she can shapeshift into are based on the vast troll culture, differing from usual druidism. Raptor form is the feral similar, inspired by Gonk, the Loa of hunt who teached Zen'tabra the ways of druidism. Direhorn are reference to the dinomancers, powerful zandalari druids. And the wind serpent does the role of Tree of Life and slighly touches the Moonkin, being a reference to the Hakkari, making her specializations into this form more bloody than malfurion's druidism. Since Malfurion's is more close to moonkin and Tree of Life, Zen'tabra got a more different approach for this aspect than the others.

Playing as Zen'tabra must feel like you have the power of at least 3 heroes at once and must chose when use each one, while at the same time having the sense of union.
As the game goes on the talent choices will incentive her to be in one of the possible shapes more often and the others will play minor roles, making her less versatile but more powerful.

Playing alongside Zen'tabra must feel like you have a jack of all trades and communication is key to create a good team composition and to know what to expect from her before a team fight. She can also fill the roles needed in each situation and because of that you will often have the chance to take the best advantage of each situation.

Playing against Zen'tabra must feel like you are fightning the unknonw since you don't know what she will do next. However, as the game goes on and she talents into a role, you can predict better her moves and the surprise element will happend a lot less often. You strategy must be adaptaded to her current role but you must be aware of the possibilities of her following a different path you expected earlier.

First off, the concept itself is beautiful, from a readers PoV, the ability color theme is a very niche touch and its easy to read and understand the concept as a whole.

Bat form being included was also a really interesting choice since its basically a mount with its own abilities. Thats cool!

From a balancing perspective, this seems like a nightmare. Hes basically every role in one Scouting, Frontline, DPS, and Healing.

Look at how many times they had to balance Varian and hes still not in a very health spot in terms of diversity. And he only does 2 roles.

thanks!!
In fact, balancing multiclass is specially difficult to be done. In order to make it easier, I tried to design it so the role should be chosen since level 1, encouraging a main talent tree for that, but allowing every talent to benefit each role in a certain way, making more choices viable, exploring mixed classes like a bruiser. While I belive it is challenging, I loved to eplore the possibilities of the shapeshifter druid, specially in a female troll hero. I don't really feel I'm strong in balancing since I'm always afraid of making my concepts too powerful so I end up making them extremly weak and have to return and buff them and I guess it ends up being unbalanced and that's a big struggle to me, so while I do the math to have somewhere to start, I'll focus more on the fantasy matching with the kit. Any suggestion and discussion both in balancing and kit are welcomed, so thank you for your time and forp pointing the balancing problem :D
