This week's patch not only brings with it the new Specialist Hero, Probius but it also brings with it a rather significant change on the Warrior class. Blizzard wants to make a clearer distinction between those that are solo tanks and those that are bruisers and so they've done a pass on both Arthas and Anub'arak to have them better represent their roles. They've both received significant changes largely in their kits at the expense of damage. These changes take out their heavy hitting abilities but Blizzard hopes that this will be a healthier change for the game.

Anub’arak has received some baseline changes and talent tweaks to embrace his role as an anti-caster Warrior. New additions to his kit include a lower cooldown and slowing Burrow Charge, a buff to his Harden Carapace shield amount, and some buffs to his Beetle build. Understandably some players may be wondering why we lowered his Spell Armor when we want him to be an anti-caster, but we felt that 25 base Spell Armor was a little too pointed in countering casters as they have no real options to deal with it when it is on a hero baseline. By giving him these changes, we’re hoping to make him a more well-rounded Warrior while still filling a niche that previously did not exist in our game.

Locust Swarm
- Damage decreased from 66 to 60
- Healing decreased from 18 to 17

Burrow Charge
- Cooldown decreased from 16 to 12 seconds.
- Damage decreased from 107 to 96
- NEW: Targets hit by Burrow Charge have their Movement Speed slowed by 25% for 2.5 seconds.

Harden Carapace
- Shield amount changed from 312.312 (+4%) to 327.6 (+4%)

Resilient Scarabs
Beetles have 50 Spell Armor.

Nerubian Armor
Every 8 seconds, gain 30 Spell Armor against the next enemy Ability and subsequent Abilities for 1.5 seconds, reducing the damage taken by 30%.

Subterranean Shield
Burrow Charge also grants a 379.6 (+4% per level) point shield for 5 seconds.

Acid Drenched Mandibles
Attacking a Hero that is slowed, rooted, or stunned increases Anub'arak's Basic Attack damage by 70% for 3 seconds.

Enemy Heroes hit by Burrow Charge have their Spell Power reduced by 50% for 4 seconds.

Nullification Shield
Activate to gain 60 Spell Armor for 5 seconds.

Extended Spikes
Extended Spikes has been removed

Dampen Magic
Dampen Magic has been removed

Assault Scarab
Assault Scarab has been removed

Locust Needles
Locust Needles has been removed

Blood for Blood
Blood for Blood has been removed

Hardened Shield

Bed of Barbs
- Tier decreased from 5 to 2
- Damage changed from 47.84 (+4%) to 23.92 (+4%)

Shed Exoskeleton

Leeching Scarabs
- NEW: Also increases the damage of your Beetles by 20%

- Cooldown reduction decreased from 4 to 2 seconds

- Reduced the period during which Artanis is locked in place during his Basic Attacks to be consistent with other Heroes with similar attack timings

For a long time Arthas has walked the line between being a Bruiser and a tank, though it was always intended that he be more of a tank as opposed to a bruiser. With Armor in the game, we saw the opportunity to really embrace him being that slow approach of Death that he encapsulated so well in Wrath of the Lich King. Arthas’s crowd control capability and survivability have been significantly increased, and now he should really shine as the Warrior to bring if the enemy team has multiple Melee heroes or those who strongly rely on their auto-attacks. In return for his extra control in teamfights, his damage has been reduced. While he will not put out damage as quickly as before, his ability to kill enemies will now rely much more on how long he can keep them in his Frozen Tempest, as once they’re in it will be very difficult for them to escape without using some kind of mobility.

Army of the Dead
- Energy decreased from 100 to 80
- Cooldown decreased from 100 to 80 seconds
- Ghoul attack damage increased from 18 to 20
- Ghoul Health increased from 960 to 1060

Frozen Tempest
- Damage lowered from 26 to 20. Now slows enemy movement speed and attack speed by 10% per second, up to 40%. This now stacks over 4 seconds instead of 5.
- Now functions as an aura (same as Lucio's Crossfade) when concerning Stuns and Silences
- If Arthas is Stunned or Silenced, he will not be able to toggle Frozen Tempest on or off, but if it is active it will persist for the duration of the Stun or Silence.

Frostmourne Hungers
- Now deals a bonus 99 damage when hitting enemies (is no longer based on his normal Basic Attack damage)

Death Coil
- Heal changed from 247.52 (+4%) to 272.48 (+4%)

Icebound Fortitude
- Cooldown decreased from 40 to 35 seconds

Anti-Magic Shell
- NEW: No longer provides 100 Spell Armor. Arthas now takes 0 damage from Spells instead and heals for 25% of the damage prevented.

Every 5 seconds, gain 60 Physical Armor against the next enemy Hero Basic Attack, reducing the damage taken by 60%. Stores up to 3 charges.

Icy Talons
Gain 3% Attack Speed for 1.5 seconds every time a Hero is damaged by Frozen Tempest, to a maximum of 60%.

Shattered Armor
Enemy Heroes hit by Howling Blast have their Armor reduced by 15 for 4 seconds.

Trail of Frost
Trail of Frost has been removed

Frigid Winds
Frigid Winds has been removed

Eternal Hunger
Quest: Use Frostmourne Hungers on an enemy Hero.
Reward: Increases the Mana it restores by 4, to a maximum of 40, and its damage by 4.

Frost Presence
Quest: Root enemy Heroes with Howling Blast.
Reward: After rooting 5 Heroes, Howling Blast's cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
Reward: After rooting 10 Heroes, Howling Blast's range is increased by <c val="#TooltipNumbers">30%.</c>
Reward: After rooting 20 Heroes, Howling Blast also roots enemies in its path.

Frozen Wastes
Frozen Tempest Mana cost reduced by 4 per second.
Quest: Damage enemy Heroes with Frozen Tempest.
Reward: After damaging enemy Heroes 150 times with Frozen Tempest, the Movement and Attack Speed slows of Frozen Tempest last an extra 1.5 seconds against enemy Heroes.

- Increase the range bonus on Death Coil from 25 to 30%.
- Increase the cooldown reduction from 2 to 3 seconds.

Immortal Coil
- NEW: Bonus healing now applies to self-casting Death Coil.
- NEW: Bonus healing reduced from 100 to 50%.

Frost Strike
- Movement Speed changed from 40 to 50%.

Biting Cold
- Tier increased from 2 to 5

Embrace Death
- NEW: Now also affects the healing of Death Coil.

Demonic Invasion
- Casting Demonic Invasion will now remove/clear minions lingering from the previous cast

Taste for Blood
- Killing a Hero with Globe of Annihilation will now increase its damage by 10

When we were first told about the new event “Two Heads are Better Than One”, we immediately set to work on giving Cho’gall’s talent trees a much needed face-lift. A lot of our Warriors were getting Armor updates in this patch and originally Cho’gall was no exception. After playing with a generic form of it internally, we realized we had a once-in-a-Nexus opportunity to do something very different and seized the moment. The foundation of the Cho’gall rework revolves around their new Traits, Ogre Hide and Ogre Rage, which are the keys to success with the Hero. The potential of Cho’gall should be greater than ever, but you will have to make sure both heads are working together in order to maximize your damage output while keeping yourself alive long enough to keep doing it.

Twilight Veil
Activate to increase the Armor bonus of Ogre Hide by 300% for 2 seconds. If cast while Ogre Rage is active, it instantly swaps to Ogre Hide.

Two-Headed has been removed

Rune Bomb
- Damage changed from 284.96 (+4%) to 229.84 (+4%)
- Rune Bomb now continues its full path regardless of when or if Gall decides to detonate it.

Consuming Blaze
- NEW: Ignite all nearby enemies for 5 seconds, dealing 30 damage per second and instantly healing Cho for 30 Health per target hit.
- NEW: Attacks against ignited Heroes reapply the debuff (instant heal + refresh dot duration).

Molten Block
- Tier increased from 5 to 6

Consuming Fire
Consuming Blaze heals for 150% more when a Hero is Ignited.

Calloused Hide
Ogre Hide also increases healing received by 15%.

Surging Fist deals additional damage to Heroes equal to 7% of their max Health.

Basic Attacks against ignited Heroes decreases the cooldown of Consuming Blaze by 1 second.

Passive: Reduce the cooldown of Consuming Blaze by 3 seconds.

Enraged Regeneration
While Gall's Ogre Rage is active, Cho's health regeneration is increased by 200%.

The Will of Cho
Takedowns permanently increase the Armor granted by Ogre Hide by 0, to a max of 50 extra Armor.

Hour of Twilight
Decreases Cho'gall's death timer by 50%.

Blazing Bulwark
Blazing Bulwark has been removed

Fire Eater
Fire Eater has been removed

I AM Hurrying!
I AM Hurrying! has been removed

Surge of Stamina

Fuel for the Flame
Quest: Every minion killed near Cho increases the amount healed by Consuming Blaze by 0.2%.
Quest: Every Hero Takedown increases the amount healed by Consuming Blaze by 2%.

Seared Flesh
- NEW: Each consecutive Basic Attack against an enemy Hero deals 20% more damage. Up to a 60% bonus. This bonus lasts 5 seconds or until a different unit is attacked.

Power Surge
- NEW: Each enemy Hero hit reduces the cooldown of Surging Fist by 4 seconds.

Frenzied Fists
- Tier increased from 2 to 5
- NEW: Gain 75% attack speed for 5 seconds after using Surging Fist.

Runic Feedback
- NEW: Gall’s Runic Blast reduces the cooldown of Rune Bomb by 1 second for every enemy hit. This bonus is doubled against Heroes.

Runed Gauntlet
- changed
- NEW: Basic Attacks against Heroes decrease the Cooldown of both your and Gall’s Heroic Abilities by .5 seconds.

Surging Dash
- NEW: Cho gains 150 Health per second and is unstoppable while Surging Dash is channeled.

Twilight Veil
- NEW: Activate to triple the effect of Ogre Hide for 2 seconds (25 to 75 Armor). 30 second cooldown. If cast while Ogre Rage is active, instantly swap to Ogre Hide.

Molten Block
- Tier increased from 5 to 6

Favor of the Old Gods
- NEW: Upheaval roots all Heroes hit for 1.5 seconds

Double Back
Activate to reverse the third bounce's direction.

Nudge Cho a small distance and grant him 25% Movement Speed for 2 seconds.

Ogre Rage
Gall's damage is increased by 25%, but Cho's Armor is reduced by 25.

Cho can activate Ogre Hide to grant himself <c l="#TooltipNumbers">25</c> Armor, but remove this damage bonus.

Passive: Gall is permanently immune to Stun and Silence effects.

Keep Moving!
Increases the duration of Shove's movement speed bonus by 0.5 seconds. Cho's Basic Attacks against Heroes increases the duration of an active Shove by 1 second.

Reduces the cooldown of Shove by 10 seconds. Every time Cho is hit by a Hero Basic Attack, reduce the Cooldown of Shove by 1 second.

We See You!
Eye of Kilrogg's cooldown is decreased by 15 seconds and its range is increased by 33.333%.

Ogre Rampage
Gall's Basic Abilities cooldown 75% faster for 5 seconds after Cho activates Ogre Hide.

Searing Shadows
Enemy Heroes hit by Shadowflame take an additional 2% of their maximum Health as damage.

Shadowflame slows enemy Heroes by 10% for 4 seconds. This effect can stack up to 3 times.

Leaden Orb
Dread Orb stuns enemy Heroes for 0.5 seconds.

Deafening Blast
Enemies at the center of Wailing Arrow's explosion take 50% more damage and are silenced for twice as long.

Shifting Nether
Twisting Nether now teleports Cho to a targeted location before it begins channeling.

The Will of Gall
Takedowns permanently increase the bonus of Ogre Rage by 0%.

Spurred Onward

Bomb's Away
Quest: Damaging a Hero with Runic Blast increases its damage by 5.
Reward: After damaging 20 Heroes, the range and speed of Cho's Rune Bomb is increased by 20%.

Edge of Madness
- NEW: Every subsequent hit of Shadowflame on an enemy Hero deals 8% more damage, up to a 40% bonus. These bonuses are lost after 4 seconds.

Double Trouble
Quest: If Shadowflame hits an enemy Hero that is afflicted by Cho's Consuming Blaze, its cooldown is reduced by 1 second.
Reward: After hitting 20 Heroes, Shadowflame's cooldown is instead permanently reduced by 1 second.

Rising Dread
- NEW: Increase the size and damage of each Dread Orb bounce by 25%.

Twilight Nova
- Tier decreased from 6 to 5

Psychotic Break
- NEW: When Cho dies, you gain the effects of Ogre Rage and can continue casting Basic Abilities for 10 seconds.

I’m not exactly sure where this Goblin keeps getting the hoards of gold he needs to bribe the Design team, but sure enough he has done it again. The changes to him started off as quality-of-life fixes but eventually evolved into something of a minor rework. Overall, we tried to even out the power level of a couple talent tiers (including his Heroics), while bringing in a swash of baseline changes in order to make him feel a bit more user-friendly. We realize his win rate is above average in certain MMR brackets (and game modes) and that this may be viewed as a substantial buff to him. However, we felt it was important to bring these changes to our players and are prepared to act quickly if any tweaks are needed.

Goblin Repairs
Quest: Gathering a Regeneration Globe increases Health Regeneration by 1 per second, up to 25.
Reward: After gathering 25 Globes, gain an additional 15 Health Regeneration per second.

Hired Goons
Friendly non-Boss Mercenaries near Gazlowe deal 50% more damage. Rock-it! Turrets gain 50 Armor against Minions and Mercenaries, reducing their damage taken by 50%.

Since his activation, Probius has always wanted to prove himself. He may be small, but he made a big difference by warping in a critical pylon during the retaking of Aiur. As the bravest of probes, Probius is eager to fulfill his purpose in the Nexus.

Worker Rush
Activate to gain an additional 60% Movement Speed for 5 seconds. Taking damage ends this effect early.

Passive:Probius moves 9.947% faster by hovering over the ground.

Warp In Pylon
Warp in a Pylon that generates a Power Field and grants vision of the surrounding area. Probius only regenerates mana while inside a Power Field.

Up to 2 Pylons can be active at a time.

Disruption Pulse
Fire a burst of energy forward, dealing 157.5 (+5% per level) damage to all enemies it passes through.

Hitting the center of a Warp Rift will cause it to explode, dealing additional damage.

Warp Rift
Open an unstable Warp Rift at a location that takes 1.25 seconds to arm, which then slows nearby enemies by 20% lasting 9 seconds.

Armed Warp Rifts explode when hit by Disruption Pulse, dealing 274.05 (+5% per level) damage to nearby enemies.

Stores up to 2 charges.

Photon Cannon
Warp in a Photon Cannon that deals 98.8 (+4% per level) damage per second. Lasts for 11 seconds.

Must be placed within a Pylon's Power Field. Deactivates if it doesn't have a Pylon powering it.

Pylon Overcharge
Increase the size of Pylon power fields and allow them to attack enemies within it for 114.4 (+4% per level) damage per second. Lasts 10 seconds.

Passive:Pylons gain permanent Shields equal to 52.5% (+5% per level) of their max Health.

Null Gate
Vector Targeting
Project a barrier of negative energy in the target direction that lasts 4 seconds. Enemies who touch the barrier take 66.56 (+4% per level) damage per second and are slowed by 80% for as long as they remain in contact with it.
