"I am Khadgar, former apprentice to the fallen Guardian, Medivh. I'm sure you've heard his name before. It was I who discovered that Medivh had been possessed by the Evil One, Sargeras, and that he had opened the Dark Portal between this world and Azeroth. Though I honored my Master, I was forced to slay him and put his tortured soul to rest."
Powerful arcane mage with short cooldowns that depends on Mana control to deal more damage.
HP: 1462 (+4% per level)
HP Regen: 3.046 (+4% per level)
Mana: 500 (+10 per level)
Mana Regen: 3 (+0.1 per level)
Attack Damage: 92 (+4% per level)
Attack Speed: 1.25

Passive
Increase Ability Power by up to 20%, based on the amount of Mana you have unspent.

Primary Abilities

Arcane Blast (Q)
20 Mana   Cooldown: 1 s
Deal 102 (+4% per level) damage and generate an Arcane Charge. The amount of damage dealt is increased by 50% per Arcane Charge, and its Mana cost is increased by 100% per Arcane Charge. Stacks up to 4 times and lasts 15 seconds.

Arcane Barrage (W)
30 Mana   Cooldown: 5 s
Fire bolts of arcane energy, dealing 174 (+4% per level) damage to the first enemy hit. Consume all Arcane Charges.

Evanesce (E)
60 Mana   Cooldown: 12 s
Fade into the nether, making you Untargetable for 3 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Arcane Familiar (R)
4 Arcane Charges   Cooldown: 60 s
Summon an Arcane Familiar at target location. The Arcane Familiar's Basic Attacks do 243 (+4% per level) damage and restore 1% of your maximum Mana per hit. Lasts 20 seconds.

Evocation (R)
4 Arcane Charges   Cooldown: 40 s
Restore 10% of your maximum Mana per second while channeling for 6 seconds.

Special Mount

Raven Form (Z)
Instead of using a mount, you transform into a Raven with 40% increased Movement Speed.

Tier 1 Talents

UNLIMITED BLAST (Q)
Increase the range of Arcane Blast by 20%.

VISIONS OF THE HIDDEN (E)
Reveal nearby enemy Heroes while Evanesce is active.

ARCANE AFFINITY (Passive)
Mana Adept also increase Basic Attack damage by up to 20%, based on the amount of Mana you have unspent.

GEM OF HEALTH (Passive)
Quest: Every time you get a Takedown increase your maximum Health by 25, up to 250.
Reward: After getting 10 Takedowns, also increase the Ability Power bonus of Mana Adept by up to 25%.

Tier 2 Talents

ARCANE EXPLOSION (Q)
Arcane Blast explodes on impact, dealing 15% of its initial damage to nearby enemies.

ARCANE TORRENT (W)
Arcane Barrage penetrates through the first target hit, hitting 1 additional target.

ENVENOM (Active)
Cooldown: 60 s
Activate to poison an enemy Hero, dealing 352 damage over 10 seconds.

PRESENCE OF MIND (Passive)
Reduces the Mana cost of Arcane Barrage and Evanesce by 50% while below 25% Mana.

Tier 3 Talents

ALTERED GRAVITY (E)
Gain 25% Movement Speed while Evanesce is active.

DISTANT DIMENSION (E)
Reduces Ability Damage received by 10% while Evanesce is active.

POWERS OF THE VOID (E)
Increases duration of Evanesce by 1 second.

Tier 4 Talents

ARCANE FAMILIAR (R)

Tier 5 Talents

ARCANE FOCUS (Q)
Increase the maximum stacks of Arcane Charges from 4 to 5 times.

COUNTERSPELL (Active)
Cooldown: 15 s
Activate to make your next Arcane Barrage to silence enemies making them unable to use Abilities for 2 seconds.

ESSAYS ON DIMENSIONAL CONVERGENCE (E)
Nearby enemies receive damage equal to 5% of their maximum Health while Evanesce is active.

Tier 6 Talents

ARCANE BRILLIANCE (Passive)
You passively grant 10% Ability Power to nearby allied Heroes.

IMPROVED ARCANE POWER (Active)
Cooldown: 25 s
Activate to increase Ability Power by 20% and Mana costs by 10% for 5 seconds.

PIPE OF INSIGHT (Passive)
You passively increase Mana Regeneration by 1.5 per second to nearby allied Heroes.

Tier 7 Talents

LOOSE MANA (R)
The Arcane Familiar generates an energy cloud for 5 seconds when it dies. Allied Heroes restore 2% of their maximum Mana per second as long as they are inside the energy cloud.

POWER OVERWHELMING (R)
The Arcane Familiar explodes when it dies, dealing 408 (+4% per level) damage to nearby enemies.

CALL OF THE TIMEWALKER (R)
Reduces nearby enemies' Movement Speed by 30% while channeling Evocation.

INVOCATION (R)
Evocation also restore 10% of your maximum Health per second while channeling.

Author's Note

Khadgar is one of the most powerful mages of Azeroth, so I believe he deserves to be the arcane mage that completes the trio of specialiced mages with Jaina and Kael'thas. I focused on keeping the same Mana management mechanic that arcane mages have on World of Warcraft, while also making a cool Hero to enjoy playing with him. Good but nothing original here, it's just the arcane mage of WoW :/ In HOTS, a hero is not just a copy of his gameplay in wow !

Hi. Evanesce is OP at 3s/12s. I know you're probably not messing with numbers yet. 0.5s/60s would be more realistic... Or replace it with the original WoW Blink. He is a mage after all... Cheers :D

Er; Perhaps 2s/15s, or even 2s/20s, but what you're talking about is literal trash. I think it's fine as is, personally, but that nerf would make it useless.

Hi :D With 3s/12s he is untargetable 1/4 of the time if he wishes so :D Evanesce is an escape ability. Heroes need escape rarely. Plus, Evanesce as is now is a BIG escape not only because of the time available and the frequent use, but also because it makes the mage untargetable. A teleport or speed would do nicely too. That's why I find it OP as is now. Cheers :D

[V 1.3 Update]
I made some tweaks to Tier 7 Talents associated with Evocation (Call of the Timewalker & Invocation) because they were a bit underpowered.
Also made a minor buff to Altered Gravity (Talent) and a rework to Gem of Health (Talent) to make it a quest talent.

I like the concept but it almost feels lacking to have an arcane mage without arcane explosion. spamming that skill was my favorite reason to play arcane in WoW.

I thought about adding Arcane Explosion as "E" ability, but I consider that Khadgar needs one mobility/survival ability like all other mages have (Chromie's Time Trap, Jaina's Frostbite, Kael'thas' Gravity Lapse and Li-Ming's Teleport) so I decided to put Evanesce in its place. Then Arcane Explosion remained as a Tier 2 Talent that works almost the same as the original Arcane Explosion from WoW (Arcane Blast (Q) is a point-and-click ability, so that talent gives you a point-and-click Arcane Explosion).
WoW Classes have a big bunch of amazing spells that gives HotS the possibility to make some characters based on the same class without repeating abilities, so maybe Arcane Explosion such as it appear on WoW could be added to another arcane mage ;)

[V 1.2 Update]
After the release of Medivh's skills, I think that Medivh's "D" is very similar to Khadgar's Special Mount. So I decided to keep Raven Form only as a cosmetic mount option (like Diablo, Azmodan and Zagara Special Mounts), what means that Hawk-Eye (Talent) is removed from the list and added its functionality to Visions of the Hidden (Talent).

[V 1.1 Update]
I made some changes on Tier 5 Talents to give it more interesting choices, because I feel it was underpowered:
- Counterspell (Talent) now can be activated to let you control better when you want to silence the enemy.
- Essays on Dimensional Convergence (Talent) now deals damage per second instead of slowing Attack Speed.

This is an amazing concept before i even got to the talents, which made it better, I would pay a fair amount money to get this hero in game right now as the first WoW arcane mage.
Questions:
1 The trait: Just to confirm you gain more ability power the lower or higher you mana is?
2 The Hero: WHY THE HEL HASN'T BLIZZ PUT THIS IN YET.

I'm pleased you like it! About your questions:
1. You gain more Ability Power the higher your Mana is (if you are at maximum Mana, increases 20% Ability Power; if you are at 0% Mana, there is no Ability Power bonus).
2. Hopefully someday we will see this Hero on HoTS!
