Be honest. Stitches has really poor damage. One of the worst in the game and no talents will repair that. So if nothing i managed to at least utilise him. At first tier there is quite a lot of choices. My favourite is Dampen Magic which is very very nice but enemy has to have lineup for it. Its good against ability damage heroes line Kaelthas or Nova. Second best is Hungry for More which is good if the first is useless like in lineup against many AA heroes like Raynor. The Chew Your Food maybe also good in lineups with no healer in team, but personally i dont use it very often.

There is first gamechanger. I saw many people go for Amplified Healing and its definetely good, but you wont get rid of that feeling that unless you hook somebody you are total zero. Cmon guys its true. Stitches sucks. But Putrid Ground can change that because it aplies quite a lot more dmg to your slam so when you use it on whole wave or creeps or towers + gate they can finally quite feel it. I like that talent a lot. Try it.

Tenderizer Maybe you wonder why go tenderizer when im not assassin? Its because when you hook somebody you automaticaly hit the hero and the poor bastard is immediately slowed down which helps your main purpose and thats hooking people.
Also Savor the Flavor might be quite good as well but you dont want to lose this talent.

Gorge This is your bread and butter when playing Stitches. Try to hook somebody when you standing near your gate. Then use ultimate and walk through the gate back in base and the kill is safe.

Relentless We go for this talent because there is not much other choice. And generaly this talent is quite good for survival. Some might wonder that could be very usefull to go for Helping Hand but realize that when you pick this talent you cant anymore hook enemies through your allies and it will very often ruin a kill oportunity. Its really bad.

My most favourite talent. Pulverize. This is the talent that finaly made me like Stitches. This is the real game changer. Its a bit pitty that it came this late in the game but its definetely worth it. With this talent you will secure so many kills that you will slam your head against your table that you havent started picking it in the past.
Pick Fishing Hook only if enemy has composition of many ranged heroes that are good at keeping their distance. But belive me, if you are good HotS player, standard hook range must be sufficient for you and Pulverize will turn the tides of your game.

And for the last talent we go Hardened Shield So we can fullfil our tank role a bit more and now you will find yourself much more in the front line when you chase heroes with your low cd slam + slow more than ever.
