Introduction Top

Well this is my first attempt at building a guide. I started up this build, well today in an attempt to counter the Lt. Morales heavy meta that I've been seeing, and the seemingly impossible task of convincing teammates to focus her. So the result is "DPS Dwarf" focused mostly around keeping the old Boot'enant out of the mix. This is mostly done with just picking up Haymaker, as it can really throw her off of her game.

What is the combo here? Well my devastating surprise goes a little something like this. Once we have them where we want them (Just outside of our melee range) we use our Dwarf Toss to get deep in the enemies back line, where Morales is sure to be surrounded by her team. Then we pop off a well placed Storm Bolt to get those heals down. Then we will use our Thunder Clap to get a little extra damage in, and then let the dukes fly with a Haymaker to the face of the medic and send her rocketing through her meatshield of teammates, straight toward your wanting allies. When this goes according to plan, the sight is a must see.

First let's take care of some admin. Below is a legend of sorts to help you navigate what the hell I'm trying to say.

No Daddy! Stop it Daddy!

Meh, not really that impressed...

HOLY HOT DOG THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. (PICK THIS)

Let's take a look under old Magni's hood.

Level 1 Talent Top

Well not much going on in these area's but your first talent choices are decided based off of your team/opponent.

Block Not a terrible pick for any Hero, and if you feel like the enemy is going to do work with auto attacks, snag this bad boy. Especially with Giant Killer being such a big deal now'days.

Infused Hammer Crutch pick in my opinion, used for beginner's who don't know how to find the "B" button frequently or to click on the sippy cup.

Perfect Storm Honestly if you're trying to go pure damage, this talent can be hell'a fun. Ending a game with over 300 bonus damage on your "Q" as a Warrior can feel pretty cool. Take it if you're feeling frisky.

Reverberation Your team and you will most likely appreciate this choice over all others. Having Imposing Presence at level 1 can be pretty amazing and will help keep you ahead in those early game team fights.

Level 4 Talent Top

Here we are, and we're not breaking any trends with this pick. Two viable options and if you trust your team (i.e. not in solo QM) then this is standard stuff.

Third Wind Well if you find yourself unable to stay alive for some reason, maybe you could take this talent, but I like to believe in people, in everything except HoTS. Still hold out for something better. We're here to bash people's heads in after all.

Sledgehammer And with that thought in mind, who gives a flying fart about doing bonus damage to PVE stuff??? We're here to bash people's heads in after all. NEXT!!!

Crowd Control Patience my young friend. Have some patience. This talent is no bueno, so skip it and save yourself the headaches.

Thunder Burn Now were screwin' with our pants off. THIS is the kind of thing that has us here in the first place. Pick this sucker up and move on. I hit ONE button and the effect happens twice!!! Money.

Level 7 Talent Top

Here we are, Level 7. Hopefully we're ahead at this point, so your teammates aren't screaming at you because they have the Tab window open the whole time they're not winning to point out how large their E-peen's are and judging talent selections. If not, the mute feature that Blizzard has given us can be quite the handy tool.

Piercing Bolt Excellent talent given different situations and the enemies ability to hide those pesky damage dealers behind targets that you don't particularly want to stun. But for what we're doing this isn't where we parked our car.

Landing Momentum NEXT!!!! What the hell is this? You're a dwarf, you don't move quickly. You trudge through the battlefield and smack people over the head with not one, but TWO hammers? This is a joke talent. Avert your gaze.

Skullcracker Meh... Not impressed. Let's just say no and move on.

Battle Momentum Money, Money, Money. Yes and please. DO IT.

Ulties, Level 10 Top

This is where we take a stand, and differ from the meta. This is what will allow you to penetrate deeply into the enemies line, and shove that Morales back into your teammates welcoming arms. In a world of old, the Warrior used to call the targets out, and the team would follow suit. Those days are long gone, and people just do whatever the hell they want. Well with Haymaker all your problems are solved!!! Just jump way out, and shove her back into impending doom. "Ooh look, a piece of candy". That's what the dps on your team will say when this savory morsel is served to them on a platter thanks to you're amazing choice. Get it done!!!

Avatar Yeah yeah yeah. We've all seen it. NOT IMPRESSED!!!. J/k this is an awesome ult, but just hear me out and try the other one.

Haymaker Awww yeah baby. Look at it. I can feel my hipster glasses sliding smoothly over my ears.

Level 13, when it starts coming together. Top

We are now going to go ahead and pick a talent that is purely greedy as far as damage goes. NOM NOM NOM

Burning Rage I would still take this if the enemy team had stealthies, but aside from that this is not all that exciting.

Healing Static It's in the name, this is clearly for that support Muradin build. Haven't seen it yet, and don't want to. Get this outta here.

Thunder Strike Here she is. She's a beaut. Saying things like "300%" to me is like trying to ask me if I want steak with my steak... Ummm yeah? Always gets you puzzling looks when Illidan shows up thinking he's going to take your biscuits and you slap that THUNDER down on his noodle. Man it feels good but it's just not where we want it yet. Let's see what else we can scoop up.

Spell Shield Boring. This is why we have a healer.

Level 16, We have arrived. Top

Here we are, the final piece to the puzzle of doing the DEEPS as our little dwarf warrior.

Dwarf Launch To be honest, I've never even taken this talent. I don't see the need for it. Our Dwarf Toss ability is used to escape most situations, and yes, with this build we will use it to engage more than with any other build but this isn't what's getting us across the finish line.

Heavy Impact More of the same as to the previous idea. This isn't our bag, today at least.

Give 'em the Axe! This is exactly where we have parked our proverbial car. This, as you can see, couples well with our mindset that we want to do the damages.

Imposing Presence Well at level 1 we scooped this up with Reverberation. So that frees us up to get something else that is much more fun.

Stoneform If you've played Muradin at all, you know how awesome his trait can be. I mean honestly it's like carrying a Healing Fountain with you wherever you go. So you then know that this is pretty good, but we're working on a one trick pony here, and this doesn't help our cause.

Level 20 Top

Well this is the end of the road. Let's see how crazy we can get.

Unstoppable Force Well since we didn't go with Avatar this is auto out, but this is a good talent if you're here looking for good ol' Muradin insight. I like other talents more typically but I've been known to get down with this occasionally.

Grand Slam I'm 4'2", 280 lbs, and their are 2 of me. This is great for what we're doing. Jump in, smack, then smack again. 25% damage means good things with our other talent choices.

Hardened Shield If the enemy team has caught on to what you're doing and are locking you down before you can amaze them, this is a viable option. To be used before jumping in so you can get that sweet chin music started.

Rewind Again an all around awesome option, giving us the ability to lock someone down with Storm Bolt twice, Thunder Clap their face twice... you get the idea. All the fun things, twice.

Summary Top

Okay so obviously this is a very niche build. When would I want to use this? Does it work in more situations that against Lt. Morales?

Well my friends, yes this can be used more often that you might think. With a heavy emphasis on multiple Warrior comp's this does well in that role. If you've got someone else who is okay being the damage soaker, this build does a lot to surprise an enemy that hasn't seen it before.

As far as how good this works against the old LT? Well I'm telling you if I ever see an LT on the loading screen, I'm taking this build until I don't win with it. And so far that hasn't happened yet so I believe it to be decent. Granted my MMR might not be setting any land-speed records but I seem to get by.

Thank you for checking out this guide, not sure if my creative juices will spur me to do any more but if I do, I'll see you then.
