I'm guessing two heads can't actually think better than one huh?! (found a mistake and needed to use that joke)

Lvl 4 Talent:Seared Flesh

Cho's Attack Speed is: 0.9 - considering your first auto attack exatly the same time you use W it'll be possible up to 4~5 Autoattacks (atk speed buffs) getting up to 100% extra damage from AA. Remember you cannot miss a nanosecond on your AA timer or it'll be only 75% extra damage. 12 seconds cooldown

Runed Gauntlet:75% on your next AA - great burst damage. 8 seconds cooldown.

Obviously easier to hit one AA than 4.

100% damage on 12 seconds - 75% damage on 8 seconds = this means that you'll have 3/4 damage on 2/3 time. Runed Gauntlet is still better even if you can use full duration of Seared Flesh.

Overwall great guide ! Just fix that mistake and keep up that amazing job :)

HI! Firstly, loved the joke...very smooth.

Anyway, on to your point. I have known the Math behind the damage from the get go and I have made this decision despite this. The reason for the choice is because I feel like it is likely that you will not be able to use the auto attack for the 75% increased damage on a target that HAS Seared Flesh applied to them because it is very likely that you will hit them before applying Seared Flesh or you will not have Consuming Blaze off cooldown in order to get the heal. I could go on and on about it but I feel like whilst yes that damage if you hit it at the right time would heal and damage more it is very likely that you will miss out on the healing portion of the talent which at the end of that day is what we are after.

However having received this question more than once I shall review my decision and test more with the Runed Gauntlet talent and make changes to the build where necessary. Because we can all learn a thing or two and it is incredibly possible that I am just plain wrong on this one!

Thanks for the question!

I might be mistaken, but I thought the Edge of Madness talent granted bonus damage to enemies near the area of effect of Shadowflame not enemies that are simply near your hero. So, your justification for not recommending it might be flawed. Dark Descent is prob still the stronger choice, but imo Edge >> Double Trouble for sure.

Yes, i did explain it, people aren't as grouped up as you think and therefore it's not a good talent because that extra little aoe damage it can do is going to be wasted. As I said it can pull out some nice numbers, good pushing ability for towers and forts, but mostly people aren't grouped up and it will have no effect, never said it was close to the hero. Double Trouble is better due to the nice damage boost if you are going 1v1 against someone. But you still made a good point, but I personally just don't see this talent being as good as Double Trouble.

hello,

I just read you build for cho and i was wondering why do you prefere Seared Flesh over Runed Gauntlet

Seared flesh give + 25% dmg for 4 sec. If your Attack speed = 1hit/sec you will maybe be able to hit 4 times with the buff (if you are note kite/stun/...)
you can use it every 12 sec = CD of the W Consuming Blaze

Runed Gauntlet give you 75% dmg for the next Attack (=3 garanted aa if you go with seared flesh !) no matter the time you wait to hit with (i.e. if you use your runic bomb befor mounting 20 sec after if you hit someone you ll have 75% dmg boost you can use your runic bomb directly after and have again your 75% dmg boost)
you can use it every 8 sec = cd of E Rune Bomb

so i don t understand your choice.

Dangoow

(sry for my bad English)

Hi Dangoow,

Firstly, great question! Me and Topswede really love too see people questioning the build because it means that we can all learn from each other.

So onto your question. The reason why we have taken Seared Flesh is because in conjunction with Fire Eater at level 7 (assuming you have followed the build) means that we are not only healing from basic attacks on targets that are inflicted with Consuming Blaze but it means that those 25% damage increased basic attacks stack with that damage for the heal.

So the reason we are wanting the healing to be higher and not the damage is because as you know Cho is the tank and we rely on Gall to deal the damage so we just need to keep him alive. Whilst you are mostly right in thinking that Runed Gauntlet does more damage 9 times out of 10 we don't need that damage because it just isn't enough to warrant not taking the higher heals instead.

runed gauntlet buff your AA too so you will have more dmg too so more heal after lv 7
But indeed, you ll have to cast rune bomb just befor consuming blaze wich is not so hard (don t forget that the +75% buff is up always if you pock befor a team fight)

I think runed gauntlet is still much better in a lot of way

+75% dmg every 8 sec
VS
+0% to +100% every 12 sec

but i understand now why you prefer seared flesh, thx.
