Introduction Top

Hello everybody these builds will be best for Stitches in any situation depending on team comps and during the course of your matches. There are 3 builds worth trying out.

The Hungry Health Monster: Generally the build you'd go for as Stitches to increase your health and buff Stoneskin in the process.

The Mage Neutralizer: This build will be most useful against enemy team comps with heavy damage dealers involving their abilities like Kael'thas and Jaina.

Stitches Can Destroy Too!: Just as the build name suggests it's the damage dealer build for Stitches. While not the best build for Stitches but it can useful if your team lacks damage or any pushing ability and you have at least one good solo tank other than yourself.

Pros and Cons Top

Pros!
- Decent sustained AoE without the damage build
- Hook can bring a hero out of position which leads to easy kills with your team
- Decent Self-Sustain involving talents and Devour
- Good disengage with Putrid Bile
- Gorge is good at isolating enemy Heroes
- Devour can kill Summoned minions like Jaina's Summon Water Elemental, Anub'arak's Scarab Host beetles and Zagara's Hunter Killer almost instantly
- With Hungry for More Stitches has the potential to have the highest health pool in the game

Cons...
- Lacks Damage Mitigation other than Stoneskin and Hardened Shield
- Lacks reliable Crowd Control other than Gorge and Putrid Bile
- Not very mobilie
- No burst
- Relies heavily on Hook in order to be effective

Tier 1 (Level 1 Talents) Top

Chew Your Food: This talent can restore your health for a decent amount after using Devour however the cooldown is almost never justified on taking it. I'd recommend taking this talent if you are going with Last Bite at level 7.

Dampen Magic: This is the Block version of Spell Shield or the ability damage reduction version of Block whatever you want to think of it. This is a strong talent and a close second to Hungry for More for this tier. Go for Dampen Magic if the enemy team has a Kael'thas, Jaina, or anyone with strong Ability damage. The flaw for this talent however is that the charges will get used up by any ability including abilities like Arthas's Frozen Tempest, Sylvanas' Withering Fire and Azmodan's All Shall Burn which can eat up those charges quickly and with little damage which can make this talent not worth it even if you are up against a Kael'thas or Jaina.

Hungry For More: Grabbing Regeneration Globes to increase your maximum health can be really strong and it syringes well with Devour and Stoneskin at level 16.

Heavy Slam: While the 50% extra damage sounds great on paper. Slam's damage isn't entirely that great to begin with and the 50% most likely won't make that big of a difference however if your team lacks the damage and pushing power they need and you have at least a good solo tank then you can consider this pick.

Tier 2 (Level 4 Talents) Top

Amplified Healing: This added with Chew Your Food, Savor the Flavor and Regenerative Bile can increase their effects as well as increase the healing from Devour alone. A strong pick always to keep yourself alive.

Mercenary Lord: This isn't a bad talent but let's face it. Stitches is not a jungler. Even if Stitches can technically solo a boss or a mercenary camp your damage will still be lacking enough to take them down quick enough if you had the time to be taking down mercenary camps you'd better use that time more on helping your team if they need it not to mention if your team itself is helping you take down mercenary camps then there's no point at all in getting this talent. Avoid this talent always.

Vile Cleaver: Not a bad talent per-say but if you are looking for more damage then go for Putrid Ground.

Putrid Ground: This can provide more damage and pushing power as minions are quickly killed by your slams and gas and can also deal a fair amount of damage against enemy heroes as well. Just like Heavy Slam only get this if you really need the damage.

Tier 3 (Level 7 Talents) Top

Savor The Flavor: While this can help you survive longer and combined with Amplified Healing makes the healing even more stronger. The problem with this talent is that it makes it difficult to know when to use Devour while you need to heal yourself or just to use to increase your regeneration. Overall only pick this talent as a winmore situation or if you know when to use Devour.

Last Bite: This talent can be really strong. Similar to Kerrigan's Siphoning Impact and Clean Kill you can almost restore your health and clear a minion lane more easily without trouble aside from the 5 second cooldown and mana cost. While not as useful during team fights but if you use it at the right time you can still benefit from it and thanks to the recent changes following the Lt. Morales patch you don't have to imminently kill someone with Devour to gain it's effect.

Tenderizer: This will provide Stitches with some Crowd Control however if your team already has pretty decent Crowd Control already then I'd stick with Last Bite.

Toxic Gas: Not a bad talent but there are better talents in this tier is not worth justifying picking this talent. Besides if you decided to pick Putrid Ground at level 4 the increase Radius becomes useless and the extra second isn't really worth it. Avoid this talent.

Tier 4 (Level 10 Talents) (Ultimates) Top

Putrid Bile: While it doesn't seem good at first sight it does bring a nice bit of utility to Stitches. This can slow enemies while making Stitches faster making it a great disengaging ability.

Gorge: Gorge can useful on taking an enemy hero away from its team which can be an advantage for you and your team. Thanks to the recent changes on the Lt. Morales patch you are no longer slowed when "eating" a hero. The one weakness to this ultimate is still having to move away from your team or the fact that your team has to take down the hero you eaten quickly enough before it catches up to its team. Overall a pretty good ultimate as well just make sure when to use it.

Tier 5 (Level 13 Talents) Top

Relentless: This being the only useful talent that can help Stitches survive longer since Crowd Control can almost never work on you. This is the general pick for this tier however if the enemy team lacks Crowd Control then I suggest picking Indigestion.

Mega Smash: Increasing the range and arc of your Slam can be helpful in some cases. One being in can more likely hit all 5 enemy heroes if they aren't that stacked together. Another case it being combined with Pulverize at level 16 for a good amount of Crowd Control. This can be your best talent if you decide to go damage but overall it depends.

Indigestion: I know what you may be thinking. " Indigestion is so weak why bother picking it?" Well since it recent changes in the Lt. Morales patch it can now apply Vile Gas. It doesn't sound that great alone but if combined with Last Bite it can be an interesting combination and can be really strong when pushing lanes.

Helping Hand: No, no, no, no, no, NO!!! This is like the worst talent in existence. Regardless if the talent got some changes in the latest patch it is still awful. Never ever EVER pick this talent. Your team will hate you. However if you must troll people then get it otherwise don't.

Tier 6 (Level 16 Talents) Top

Pulverize: The slow is very good if you want to keep up with your enemy as well as well as basically holding them in place for your team to AoE the enemy quickly. The cooldown on Slam being reduced is a nice bonus. Whether you are going for Tank or Damage build this is a strong choice.

Fishing Hook: Before the patch this was considered the best patch but since Stoneskin was added to Stitches it's been more of a optional pick. The hook's range is so long that no one will even see you using it. They're never know what'll hit em'. Useful for taking an enemy far away from its team especially if you picked Gorge at level 10.

Shish Kabob: Just like Helping Hand NO. There are much better talents in this tier than this talent believe me.

Stoneskin: Stoneskin is really strong as it basically gives you a big health increase for a few seconds. This combined with Hungry for More at level 1 you'd be unkillable. Best pick in this tier.

Tier 7 (Level 20 Talents) (Storm Powers) Top

Regenerative Bile: While making your Putrid Bile last longer it can now also heal you. This combined with Amplified Healing can provide decent healing. However I believe Hardened Shield provides you to live longer more than Regenerative Bile but it all depends on your style.

Hungry Hungry Stitches: While it's nice that Gorge's damage is increased with this talent I still believe that there is a few things still wrong with it. One being that it's more difficult to use when you have to "eat" multiple players as it gets harder kill the enemy team as they stack up together. Not only that "eating" multiple people alone isn't as easy as just getting one. You can go with this talent if you are going for a full damage build and went with Gorge at level 10 but otherwise I would not recommend it.

Hardened Shield: Reducing your damage taken by 75% for a few seconds can make Stitches godlike, you'd barely get damaged at all. Take this about 90% of the time.

Bolt of the Storm: While a good talent I still say that it's hardly worth picking over Hardened Shield as the defense it provides is too good.

Conclusion Top

I hope you enjoyed looking through the guide. I will continue to work on it whenever I get the chance. For now however give me any feedback you might have, I can take it just as long as it's not troll related or extremely harsh.
