Modera (Completed)

Archmage of the Kirin Tor

Modera is a member of the The Six, the council that governs all operations within Dalaran. She currently stands as longest active member of The Six, having served during the Second War and up until now. Trough the most recent years she has partaken in many important battles and happenings around Azeroth. She was the one to call out Kel'Thuzad for his use of necromancy and thus had him exiled from the Kirin Tor. She tok part in the decision of that Dalaran and it's Kirin Tor would not assist Jaina Proudmoore in her search for help to attack Orgrimmar. A Kirin Tor expedition to the Thunder Isle which held the home of Lei Shen was led by her and in most recent years she has helped the new Archmage with re-establishing the Tirisgarde and serves to this day as a loyal member of The Six and as an ally in battle alongside the new Archmage.

When the Nexus called upon Modera she responded without hesitation, she is now facing new foes alongside new and some old known allies. Prepared to test her might as a Archmage of the Kirin Tor within the battles which are to come.

Modera takes up the role as a ranged assassin who focuses on Frost Magic much like Jaina Proudmoore.

Baste stats:


- Base Health: 1497 (+4 % per level)
- Health regen: 2.47 (+4 % per level)


- Mana: 500 (+ 4% per level)
- Mana regen: 3


- Speed: 4.39

Basic attack:


Modera attacks by landing instant Frost Blasts at her targets, meaning that this basic attack has now travel time and instantly lands.

- Base damage: 74 (+4 % per level)
- Attack speed: 1.5
- Attack range: 5.5

Combat Trait

D - Icicles
Each ability you use that deals damage to a enemy hero grants 1 stack of Icicles. Whenever you have 1 stack or more of Icicles, this ability can be activated to launch the Icicles at the selected target. The Icicles will be fired one by one and has a short delay between each one leaving Modera, meaning that if the target gets out of range, the Icicles can be halted and won't be launched. You can maximum have 5 Icicles active at once time and launching them all will take a total of 5 seconds. Modera can move while Icicles are being fired. Icicles can not be blocked by terrain, structures or any other unit and will chase down the selected target as long as they get launched from Modera.

Mana: 5 Per Icicle.
Cooldown: 10 Seconds.

Primary Abilities

Q - Ice Lance
Deal 293 (+ 4% per level) damage to the first target hit followed by an ice explosion which deals 89 (+4 % per level) damage to all units within 3 range of the impact point.

Generates 1 Icicle charge if a hero was hit by the Ice Lance and additional charges if heroes was hit by the ice explosion.

Mana: 45
Cooldown: 6 Seconds.

W - Ice Orb
Launch a Ice Orb which will travle for 15 range down the selected path. The Orb pulses for 276 (+ 4% per level) damage per 0.5 second to anyone who comes within 4 range of the Orb. Once the Orb deals damage to any form of hostile unit, it will slow down it's travel speed by 25%% and will now instead just move forward for the next 6 Seconds.

Generates 1 Icicle Charge for each time a hero takes damage.

Mana: 70
Cooldown: 16 Seconds.

E - Frost Nova
Instantly emit a Frost Nova from the point where you stand, dealing 456 (+ 4% per level) damage to all units hit. This will also root the units for 1.5 seconds.

Generates 1 Icicle charge per hero that takes damage.

Mana: 50
Cooldown: 12 Seconds.

Heroic Abilities

R - Comet Storm
Start a 10 second channel where you call down Comets within a selected area. The Comets will impact at random points within the selected area and each Comet deals 408 (+4 % per level) damage and slows down the movement and attack speed of any target hit by 25% for 1.25 seconds. This ability has a global range.

Generates 1 Icicle charge per hero that takes damage. Modera can not move during this channel and can cancel the ability by re-activating it.

Mana: 110
Cooldown: 120 Seconds.

R - Ice Form
Turns Modera's body into Ice for 15 Seconds. During this time, all frost abilities deals 75% more damage. Modera pulses for 147 (+ 4% per level) damage each 0.5 seconds to anyone within 4 range, this also slows down movement speed by 15% for 1 second. During Ice Form there is no longer a cap on Icicles and Modera will keep all Icicles once the Ice Form ends, yet no more Icicles can now be generated before the number is bellow 4 again.

Icicles can be generated by the damage pulsing from Modera, as long as the damage is done to a hero.

Mana: 90
Cooldown: 100 Seconds.

Talents

Level 1



- Quick Lance: Ice Lance can be cast again for free within 2 seconds of casting the first one.


- Ice Storage: Icicles now caps out on 10 up from 5.


- Useful Overflow: Each time an ability is suppose to generate an Icicle when you have 5 active, the "suppose to be" generated Icicle will instead return 2% of your total mana and make your next Icicle free of mana cost.


- Ice Floes: Whenever you become rooted or slowed, you will cleanse yourself. This effect has a 30 second cooldown.

Level 4



- Lance Master: Quest: Hitting heroes with the direct damage from Ice Lance will empower it.
Reward: 5 Hero Hits: Ice Lance can travle further.
Reward: 10 Hero Hits: Reduce the mana cost by 50%
Reward: 20 Hero Hits: Ice Lance now pierces and will always travle it's full distance unless it hits a structure.


- Ice Nova: Emit a Ice Nova from a chosen hostile hero, allied hero or yourself. The Nova deals 503 (+ 4% per level) damage to any hostile unit hit (This includes the one you chose to emit the Nova from) and roots any hostile units damaged for 0.75 seconds.
Mana: 55
Charges: 2
Charge Cooldown: 12 Seconds.
This replaces Frost Nova.


- Frost Bomb: Place a Frost Bomb on the chosen target which deals 496 (+ 4% per level) damage over 4 seconds, then the Bomb explodes, dealing 501 (+ 4% per level) damage to all nearby enemies. All units hit by the explosion will be slowed down for 35% for 2 seconds.
Mana: 55
Cooldown: 12 Seconds.
This replaces Ice Orb.


- Ice Barrier: Activate to gain a 750 (+ 4% per level) health shield. Cooldown: 30 Seconds.

Level 7

- Expansive Frost: Frost Nova / Ice Nova affects a 30% wider area.


- Slippery: Icicles takes half the time to launch from Modera.


- Ramp it up: Hitting the same hero 3 times in a row with Ice Lance will cause the third one to deal 125% increased damage. If Ice Lance hits another hero the counter will be reset.


- Solo Fortitude: When no other allied hero is within 7 range of you, you will ignore the first attack you take from an enemy hero. This effect has a 10 second cooldown.

Level 10 (R - Ultimates)

- Frozen Core: Ice Orb deals 150% more damage if only a single hostile hero takes damage from it / Frost Bomb detonates for 150% more damage if no other hostile hero is withing explosion range.


- Reloading: If 3 Icicles hits the same hero in a row, a 4'th free Icicle will be fired at the same hero, regardless of his distance from Modara.


- Rune of Power: Create a Rune on the ground that covers 8 Range. As long as you remain within the rune, you will deal 200% more ability damage. The rune lasts for 10 seconds. Cooldown: 45 Seconds.

Level 16

- Icy Reach: Increases the travel distance of Ice Orb by 75% / Increase the range at which you can cast Frost Bomb by 75%

- Chilled Bones: Targets rooted by Frost Nova / Ice Nova takes 30% increased damage for the root duration.

- Splitting Ice: If a hostile hero get's hit by Frost Nova / Ice Nova - said hero will emit a Frost Nova / Ice Nova again which has half the function of the original Nova. This will affect the hero the furterest away from you if multiple heroes are affected.


- Cold Snap: Instantly heal for 35% of your total health and cut of 6 seconds on any cooldown you currently have. Cooldown: 60 Seconds.

Level 20



- Eternal Storm: Comet Storm can now be channeled forever but you will become revealed to the enemy team when you do so and it will cost 4% of your total mana per second after the initial 10 seconds. Comet Storm can no longer be cast while within the Nexus Home.


- Queen of Ice: Ice Form lasts for 20 seconds. Abilities deals 125% more damage. The pulse ticks each 0.25 second and the slow is increased to 25% for 1.5 seconds.


- Glacial Spike: Replaces Icicles with Glacial Spike. Glacial Spike can only be launched when you have 5 Icicles. This Spike can be fired from 40 Range. Bypasses anything in it's path. Deals damage equal to 50% of the targets total maximum health and breaks immunity effects. The Spike takes 8 seconds to cast and the selected hero can see it around them once Modara starts casting it. The Spike travels at an ever increasing speed. The Spike will deal 1189 (+ 4% per level) damage to any target which it passes trough until it reaches the main target.
Mana: 110
Cooldown: 180 Seconds.


- Teleport: Nexus Home: Instantly teleport back into your Nexus Home. Cooldown: 90 Seconds.

Skin Suggestions

Basic Skin (Tint 1: Blue with Grey)


Other tints would be (Tint 2: Red with Gold) (Tint 3: Purple with Black) The Kirin Tor tabard remains on all tints.

Sidenote

I did not give all of her abilities a baseline / a major mix of slows since I feel that the slow aspect should remain in Jaina's care - trying to not make 2 similar heroes all the same.
