Aegwynn (Completed)

Guardian of Tirisfal

Aegwynn, Matriarch of Tirisfal, the only female Guardian, mother of Medivh, Jaina Proudmoore's chamberlain and known by most as the one true Guardian of Tirisfal and the greatest sorcerer ever to live - was once a Archmage whom most forces of evil would not dare to cross paths with. In life Aegwynn did much to shape the future for Azeroth, accomplishing more than most along her over 1000 years as the Guardian of Tirisfal. Among her most notable feats is her victory over the Avatar of the Burning Legion's master: Sargeras. And her noble self sacrifice which she did to empower her grandson, allowing him to take down the leader of the Twilight's Hammer clan: Cho'gall. Now as she sets foot into the Nexus, she will prove for one and all that the power of the one true Guardian still resides within her, and with this power - She will defend this new realm alongside her newfound allies against anyone who would dare cross her path.

Aegwynn takes up the role as a ranged Arcane Mage assassin, focusing on dealing intense amounts of damage to enemies while holding little means of any direct escape. This means that while Aegwynn needs to rely on her allies to back her up - her allies can in return rely on her destructive arcane magics to dish out damage for the enemies to take.

Baste stats:


- Base Health: 1302 (+4 % per level)
- Health regen: 2.55 (+4 % per level)


- Mana: 500 (+ 4% per level)
- Mana regen: 3


- Speed: 4.39

Basic attack:


Aegwynn launches small bolts of arcane magic from her palms for basic attack. Once a Level 10 Ultimate is chosen, Aegwynn will pick up a Staff and start using that as her weapon, launching her basic attack from the staff.

- Base damage: 58 (+4 % per level)
- Attack speed: 1.1
- Attack range: 5.5

Combat Trait

D - Brand of the Guardian
Basic Attacks, (Q) Arcane Rune and (W) Ley Blast will apply stacks of Brand of the Guardian to any hostile unit that takes damage.

Brand of the Guardian increases the amount of ability damage you deal to any branded target by 3% per stack. This also causes the ability used to deal damage to the branded target to gain a 5% increased Mana cost per stack on the target.

One single target can have multiple stacks of the Brand and only 6 total Brands can be active at one time.

The Brand last indefinitely and can only be removed if Aegwynn consumes the Brand, if the branded target dies or enters the Nexus Home. Or if Aegwynn applies new stacks of the Brand while any old Brand holder is way out of reach. The Brand will prioritize heroes.

Activate: Consume all Brands on nearby targets to restore 5% of your total mana per stack consumed.

Mana:0
Cooldown: 30 Seconds.

There will be a clear visual indicator for Aegwynn on how many stacks she has active and at what targets. While Branded targets will also get a visual indicator if they have any Brand stacks, and if - How many they have.

Primary Abilities

Q - Arcane Rune
Spawn a Arcane Rune at the targeted area which will be visible and do nothing for 1.5 seconds, after 1.5 seconds - the Rune will become armed and turn invisible until triggered / detonated.

Any target within the Runes reach when it is triggered / detonated will take 587 (+ 4% per level) Damage and will gain 1 stack of Brand of the Guardian.

You can have a total maximum of 3 Arcane Runes active at one time and Runes can NOT be placed on top of one and other.

Reveal abilities can spot out the Runes, but they can not be destroyed.

Mana: 10
Cooldown per charge: 8 Seconds. Maximum 3 Charges.

W - Ley Blast
Fire a small arcane missile down the chosen path which will deal 285 (+ 4% per level) Damage to the first hostile thing it hits.

If a hostile unit is hit by the missile, it will also apply 2 stacks of Brand of the Guardian.

When the missile impacts anything hostile, said hostile unit / structure will emit a 180 degree coned shockwave behind them for 3 range, this shockwave will then push anything it strikes 3 range further back.

Mana: 50
Cooldown: 6 Seconds.

E - Magic Barrage
Launch a Barrage of arcane bolts out which will track down any local target affected with Brand of the Guardian. Each bolt will deal 387 (+ 4% per level) damage and consume the Brands active on the targets.

The Barrage will benefit from half of the Brands bonus ability damage but will not cause this ability to cost more mana.

Mana: 40
Cooldown: 14 Seconds.

Secondary Abilities

1 - Rune Controll
This ability is used to control how you want the Arcane Runes to work. Left clicking will toggle trough all the options and right click will allow you to use the chosen option.

Explosive Magic: Arcane Rune will detonate as soon as anything hostile comes into contact with it.

Local Rune: Activate to detonate the Rune closest to you.

Mass Detonation: Activate to detonate all Runes at once.

Sequence Lineup: Activate to detonate all active Runes with a short delay between each. This will always detonate the oldest Rune first.

Mana: 25 per rune that triggers / get's activated.
Cooldown: 0.25 seconds.

When a rune / a sequence of runes / all runes are detonated. You can not toggle between rune modes for 15 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

R - Aluneth, Greatstaff of the Magna: Manastorm
Equip the Aluneth, Greatstaff of the Magna and gain the ability (R) Manastorm.

Passive: Basic attacks now benefit from Brand of the Guardian and deals 5% more damage per stack to branded targets + You can now have 1 additional Arcane Rune active.

Activate: Start a 12 second channel which will start a Manastorm at the chosen area. Anything hostile within the area will take 187 (+ 4% per level) damage each 0.75 seconds and will have 4% of their mana drained per tick of damage. Global Range.

Mana: 100
Cooldown: 110 Seconds.

R - Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian: Chaos Portals
Equip the Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian and gain the ability (R) Chaos Portals.

Passive: Basic attacks now benefit from Brand of the Guardian and deals 5% more damage per stack to branded targets + Ley Blast gains a second charge and reduced mana cost by 25%

Activate: Start a 20 second Portal Spree which will affect the enemy team. At random for the next 20 seconds, Portals will spawn around all hostile heroes. If the heroes comes into contact with these Portals, they will be teleported to a random location on the map. These Portals can also eat skill shots and projectile abilities, causing them to be thrown around at random. The portals will do their best to redirect hostile heroes away from Aegwynn and her allies but will focus on holding them away from Aegwynn if she is singled out.

If a hostile hero stops moving during the portal spree, it will take 2 second before the hostile hero becomes completely surrounded by Portals.

Trying to transport, teleport, leap or dash past a Portal will not work and the Portal will take it's effect.

Mana: 75
Cooldown: 120 Seconds.

Talents

Level 1



- Mana-steal: Health globes that drops of your teams minions can be picked up by Aegwynn and can then be distributed among her team as if it was a regular Health globe dropping of a hostile minion.
Quest: Gathering Health Globes empowers Aegwynn.
Reward 15 Globes: Increase your mana pool by 250
Reward 30 Globes: Any Health globe now restores 200% more mana and causes you next ability within 15 seconds to cost 7% less mana.


- Rage of the Guardian: Brand of the Guardian now deals 5% bonus ability damage per stack but it's active function only restores 2% mana per Brand.


- Wisdom of the Guardian: Brand of the Guardian now only causes a 3% increase in mana cost on abilities, restores 7% mana upon consuming Brands but the ability power bonus is reduced to 1.5% per Brand.


- Bursting Impact: Increase the knockback effect on Ley Blast by 33%

Level 4



- Expanding Arcane: Arcane Runes grows 66% in size over 5 seconds after becoming active.


- Costly Advantage: Arcane Runes turns invisible and becomes active once placed, yet triggering / detonating a Rune within 3.5 seconds of activation will cause it to cost 125% more mana.


- Chaos Barrage: Magic Barrage will now send out bolts to all local targets, yet each target without a brand will cause the ability to cost 4 more mana per bolt.


- Arcane Fortification: Dealing damage with an ability will grant you 35 Armor for 2 seconds. This effect and be re-applied before it expires to extend the total duration.

Level 7



- Centered Force: Arcane Rune will deal more damage to units closer to it's center, up and until a maximum of 75% bonus damage.


- Precision Master: Hitting hostile heroes with Ley Blast will increase it's damage by 10% up to a maximum of 60%. If a Ley Blast fails to connect with anything hostile, this damage bonus is lost.


- Magnetic Force: Magic Barrage will bounce between local targets that had a Brand active after the initial set of bolts. These bolts will jump a maximum of 2 times and will decay 33% in damage per jump. If Branded targets are too far away from each other despite being within Magic Barrage range, bounces wont happen.


- Brimming with power: Hero takedowns increases your ability damage by 15% 6 seconds.

Level 10 (R) - Ultimates



- Aluneth, Greatstaff of the Magna: Manastorm


- Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian: Chaos Portals

Level 13



- Returning Force: Successfully landing a Ley Blast to knockback a hero with it's shockwave function will cause Aegwynn to emit a equal knocback of her own, this knockback deals damage equal to 125% of the Ley Blasts damage.


- Prismatic Presence: Allied heroes near Aegwynn deals 15% increased ability damage.


- Reach of the Matriarch: Dealing ability damage will cause your basic attacks within the next 4 seconds to deal 150% more damage and gain a 2.2 increase in range.


- Sorcerers will: Brand of the Guardian can now stack 10 times.

Level 16



- Rune of Fortification: Allied heroes that stand within your Arcane Runes will gain 25 Armor. This will cause the Rune to become visible to hostile units, the Rune can no longer be detonated for damage and it will expire after 10 seconds.


- Gravity Lapse: Magic Barrage causes Branded targets that takes damage to become stunned for 1 second. Non Branded targets will have their movement speed slowed by 75% for 1 second (This slow function requires the level 4 Chaos Barrage talent)


- Lord of Magic: You now gain a second ability to activate Arcane Runes. Allowing you to have 2 different functions for how to trigger / detonate Arcane Runes.


- Torrent of Magic: Ley Blast causes the target to take 20% increased damage for 3 seconds.

Level 20



- That which fended of the Destroyer: Manastorm now affects the entire map but damage only happens each 1.25 seconds and the channel time is reduced to 10 seconds.


- Absolute Chaos: Chaos Portals now spawns more frequently to disrupt hostile heroes and Aegwynn's team gains acsess to 5 permanent Portals within the Nexus Home which will take them to various locations around the battle field. These portals can only be used to exit the Nexus Home.


- Greatstaff of the Magna Guardian: Fuse together Atiesh and Aluneth, granting you access to both ultimates. The second ultimate will become available after 45 seconds of using the original ultimate. The second ultimate will have it's total effect reduced by 50%. Your main ultimate will not trigger it's original cooldown before the second ultimate has been used.


- Shimmer: Activate to teleport to a nearby location. 2 Charges. Cooldown: 60 seconds per charge.


- Unlimited Power: Brand of the Guardian no longer has a stack limit.

Skin suggestions

I REALLY would want Aegwynn to have this passive apperance:


Yet I fear that she will look to much like Jaina at this point.

The second attire I also would like her to use:


May cause her to look just like a more feminine Kael'thas so I am not really sure where to go with her skins.


As for any Master Skin, I was thinking of something that looks straight out of a High Coincil Powerful Mages that CHANGES a bit depending on her level 10 Ultimate. Say Atiesh gives her Raven on her shoulder pads while Aluneth causes a replica of the staffs head to float behind her head as a "different" type of head attire.

I really like Atiesh ult but it needs to be toned down a bit. Currently, it can teleport enemy to your base, which is usually an insta kill. If he gets teleported to his base, it can be 20 second stasis. And it can happen to entire enemy team. It needs to have limited teleport range or it would make you win every objective.
