GUIDE BREAKDOWN Top

First, is for the people who "dont know" that there is a drop down box and a arrow to change to the build of the character you want to look at. All the builds are on this page just look for them. Note: Artanis is not on this build guide

This guide is for team based play. To me, solo queue builds means you do not want to work as a team. This is a team game and no matter what hero you pick, if you work as a team you will win. With that said, you cant build a team in the solo queue but in Team League you can. So, you will always need at least 1 Tank (Not Hammer) and 1 Healing Support, then everything else should work for you. I personally like Team Stun/Root to catch people out of position but there is unlimited possibilities.

Chapter 1 - Play Style
Chapter 2 - Talent Breakdown

PLAY STYLE Top

Hard to say because each hero has a different play style but with that said I'll give you the general idea. First, and most important, have an exit strategy. Overextending means you didn't have an exit strategy, aka going "HAM". That means do not cross the middle of the map unless you are with your team, I don't care how good you think you are. A lone hero is as good as dead. Second, only fight when the odds are in your favor. That means no 1v5 or 2v3 with the excuse that I could have got one of them. Going one for one doesn't help anybody. Now on to roles :

Tank: Hardest class to kill when played right. You can kill but that is not your role. You have multiple roles. Your first role is to be on the front line protecting the assassins and the specialists so then can do their damage. Your second role is to use your abilities to keep one of the enemies out of position long enough to be killed. Lastly, you should be the one to initiate the team fight. Do not fight alone.

Melee Assassin: High damage at close range but easily killed. Your best bet is to get in, do your damage and get out until you are off cool down. Your major role is to protect the healer. Your minor role is damage to the other team, see priority list. If there is a ranged assassin on your team, flip the roles. Can take camps pretty easily.

Ranged Assassin: High damage at medium range and easiest to kill. Should be paired with a tank for protection. Stay behind the tank! Your major role is to protect the healer. Your minor role is damage to the other team, see priority list. This does not change. Can quickly take camps with protection.

Specialist: High push potential and siege damage. This is their major role outside of a team fight. Inside a team fight, they act as an ranged assassin, see above. Taking camps varies per hero.

Support: The only role of this class is to protect your teammates. You are very easy to kill but it is the role of your team to keep you alive. You do not kill or take camps EVER! If you are alone, you are not doing your job.

DPS Support: Only a select few heroes can do this. The only time this support can be used is if there is another support on your team or the opposing team does not have a support. Both assassin and support roles have to be followed here.

Support Priority:
Assassin
Warrior
Support

Damage Priority:
Support
Assassin
Warrior

Chasing:
I'm a victim to it also. It is so tempting but it is not worth it and puts you out of position. Somebody put it best to say "A hero with low health is almost as good as dead. If they are not around for an objective or in a team fight or losing XP, it still gives you the advantage." On the other hand if somebody is chasing you, call for help to get a free kill.

Conclusion:
With all that said, there are exceptions to the rules, except this. In a team fight, use your heroic ability as much as possible. If you have lost the team fight and your heroic is not on cool down, it is your fault. Know your cool down and plan a good time to use it.

Good Luck and Have Fun !

TALENT BREAKDOWN Top

ABATHUR
Coming soon.

ANUB'ARAK
This is the Beetle build. It is built for damage and not for survivability. The Beetle's AI is very good so it is worth using this build you just have to watch your health. If by Level 10 your team is having a hard time with one hero in team fights then you can take Cocoon to remove him/her from the battle. The other viable talent is Imposing Presence at Level 16 if the other team is auto attack heavy.

ARTHAS
Built for survivability. If you are not having a problem surviving then take Summon Sindragosa at Level 10 and Frostmourne Feeds at Level 16. This is only recommended if there is another tank on your team.

AZMODAN
There really is no changing the build for this one. At Lvl 20 you can pick Bolt of the Storm for escape if you need it but more damage is better in my mind. The only advice I have for you is to use your "D" ability as much as possible because it is GLOBAL!

BRIGHTWING
He used to be a very good support healer until he got nerfed, now he is just ok. You can take Critterize at Level 16 if you team is good a focusing a hero down or Storm Shield at Level 20 if your whole team needs some help.

CHEN
Coming Soon.

DIABLO
Diablo is not tanky until he gets 100 Souls. Try to stay back until you get a lot of souls. There are a couple talents you can change if you would like. First at Level 10 apcolypse and Lightning Breath are both good so it is up to you. At Level 16 take Imposing Presence if the other team has a lot of auto attack assassins. And at Level 20 is up to you except I would not take Bolt of the Storm because Lord of Terror is much better. Dying Breath and Hellstorm are very good options for damage if you have a good team around you.

ETC
There are not any other viable skills to take. E.T.C needs the help of his team mates because when he Mosh Pits, the rest of the team NEEDS to kill the people that are caught. Otherwise just Tank.

FALSTAD
Coming Soon.

GAZLOWE
The only change to the skills I picked is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle at Level 4. This is if you are having a problem with mana. Otherwise, just drop turrets everywhere and be really annoying. His best ability is to take camps quickly without any help. In a team fight, there are a lot of ways to combo with his Grav-O-Bomb 3000. Also if you pass the first tower with Gazlowe by yourself, you will die very easily, so dont do it.

ILLIDAN
I think The Hunt is going to become more popular with Lt. Morales around. I only take this talent if I need to take out the healer quickly. You can take Sixth Sense at Level 13 if you are dying alot, but I like Giant Killer a lot better.

JAINA
She is very squishy so you need to stay back. Water Elemental and Ring of Frost are both very good talents to take at Level 10. The pick depends on if you can get your team to help you when you drop the Ring of Frost, otherwise take water elemental as it can save your life when running away.

JOHANNA
She is almost impossible to kill when played right, especially after Level 20. The only talent I would think about is Imposing Presence at Level 16 if the other team has auto attack assassins. Her Iron Skin can get her out of almost any situation because she becomes unstoppable. So if you are getting low on health, press "D" and run.

KAEL'THAS
KT does A LOT of damage and can clear minion waves very easily after Level 13. I would not change any of the talents except that now with Lt. Morales in the mix, Pyroblast has become more useful. That is the ONLY time I would take this talent because Phoenix has a very low cooldown and works very well for zoning out the enemy.

KERRIGAN
She lives by the combo. All I can say is practice it over and over again. First, put down Impaling Blades in front of you then use Primal Grasp to pull the enemy into them. If done right, the blades will stun the enemy you have pulled in. There is no change I would make to the build except at Level 20 you can take Omegastorm if you are on a good team.

KHARAZIM
He is normally played as a healer but, I think it is much more fun to play him as a damage monk. If you are looking to heal you will have to look somewhere else because I will not be listing that here. With the damage monk you can almost take anybody one on one, so show them who's boss. When building him this way try to make sure you have another healer on your team.

LEORIC
Coming Soon.

LI LI
Coming Soon.

LT MORALES
Coming Soon.

MALFURION
Coming Soon.

MURADIN
I like to use this build for him because you can take down towers easily. I know I said in my other section that this is not his role, but chucking a hammer at a tower is not sieging, it is just helping the cause. If you want to build a full tank without the siege help, take Reverberation at Level 1 and Thunder Burn at Level 4. Either way you build him, Level 20 is a toss up. All the talents here are viable but, I would definitely take Rewind if you use my build so you can use your Storm Bolt more often.

MURKY
Coming Soon.

NAZEEBO
If you have a good team, you can take Ravenous Spirit at Level 10 and Annihilating Spirit at Level 20. You can only use this talent in a team fight when you are protected by your team, otherwise this is useless. You need the protection because good team will just stun you out of it.

NOVA
There are many ways to build her. This build is for speed and burst damage. You can change for Triple Tap at Level 10 but then you have to take Fast Reload at Level 20. If you want to change to a decoy build, you can take Lethal Decoy at Level 13 and Double Fake at Level 16. Either way, you cant take camps or minion waves by yourself, so dont do it. Your role is to move quick and kill the low health heroes.

RAYNOR
There is no reason to change anything in this build. He is an auto attack assassin so stay back and do damage. His worst enemy is the blind because that takes away all his damage. If this happens move back and wait for it to pass then attack again.

REHGAR
Coming Soon.

REXXAR
Coming Soon.

SGT HAMMER
Stay in the back and kill. Most times heroes dont even realize they are being hit by you. She is very good at doing siege damage but has a hard time getting away. So setup to take the towers when you can but do not overextend. The only talent that can be changed is at Level 16. I really like Graduating Range but some people really like Hover Siege Mode. Either is good in a team fight so it is up to you.

SONYA
Coming Soon.

STITCHES
Coming Soon.

SYLVANAS
Coming Soon.

TASSADAR
You can do damage but you are still Support. That means your main objective is to keep your team mates alive not to kill anything or anybody. The cooldown for Plasma Shield is 5 seconds and in a team fight you should try to use this as much as possible. Now if you are up against a hero that is killing your team, you can take Shrink Ray at Level 13 to take care of this. Also, if you team has enough damage then you can take Storm Shield at Level 20 for more team survivability.

THE BUTCHER
There are other talents you can take for him but I do not recommend them. The only advice I can give you is to use Furnace Blast when you are running into the middle of the enemy team so you can hit all of them.

THE LOST VIKINGS
They are very hard to play because you have to micro manage your team up to Level 10. Make sure you keep a viking in each lane up to Level 10. Try your best to keep them alive so you can soak as much XP as possible. The quicker you can get to 10 the quicker you can group back up.

THRALL
Coming Soon.

TYHUS
Coming Soon.

TYRAEL
Coming Soon.

TYRANDE
One of her best talents is hunters mark because a coordinated team can take down any marked hero. Practice hitting with her Lunar Flare because it can change the tide of any battle. At Level 20 you can also take Nexus Frenzy for more damage or Storm Shield if you team needs it but those are the only talents that I would change to.

UTHER
Coming Soon.

VALLA
This build is based around Hungering Arrow. You can do a lot of damage with it and use Vault to remove the cooldown. The downside to this is you go through mana very quickly. There is another build you can use for her which is an auto attack build. I would only use that if the team has high HP heroes that need to be taken care of. If you want to use that build take Rancor, Manticore, Searing Attacks, and Blood for Blood.

ZAGARA
He is very good at map presence because of Creep Tumor. Put it down all over the map so you will know where the other team is at all times, especially at map objectives or the boss. She has very good lane presence so make sure you keep all the lanes pushed. Late game, Hunter Killer becomes very strong so make sure you use it on the right hero, no tanks.

ZERATUL
Very overpowered in my opinion. If the other team doesnt plan against you, you can pretty much take out any hero that is not a tank.
