Aessina

Mother of Wisps

Aessina, Mother of Wisps, is the soul of the forests and strives to keep all living things in the forest alive.

Aessina is a melee healer that focuses on manipulating the battlefield by repairing structures, zoning off enemies and supporting her allies with sustained healing.

Combat Trait

Aessina plants a seed at the targeted location, it will grow over the next 5 seconds and become a Tree.

Enemy heroes can destroy the growing tree with 1 basic attack.

Trees last for 60 seconds, block movement for both allies and enemies. Enemy heroes can destroy Trees with 5 basic attacks and enemy vision is blocked by the Trees.

Aessina can have a maximum of 10 Trees on the battlefield at once. If she summons aTree while 10 Trees are active, the oldest one will be destroyed.

Grove of Life
Grove Bond Range: 7

Trees within range of each other will create "Grove Bonds" between them. If 3 or more Trees are connected in a shape (triangle, square, pentagon e.t.c.) they will create a Grove of Life.

Ally Minions, Structures and Heroes within a Grove are healed for 35(+4% per level) health every 1 second and gain 10 armor.

***enia is healed for 300% that amount. (105(+4% per level) health)

Plant an untargetable seed at the targeted location. After 1 second, the seed rapidly grows into a Tree, dealing 170(+4% per level) damage to nearby enemies and knocking them back.

(W) Change of Seasons
Cost: 55 Mana
Cooldown: 2 Seconds
Range: 10
Cast Radius: 6
Aura Radius: 2.75

Progress the season of all Trees on the battlefield.

If the Tree is in Summer, the Tree enters "Fall". All the leaves on the Tree will change to an orange color and a strong wind is summoned around the Tree, causing the leaves to whirl around and deal 45(+4% per level) damage to nearby enemies every 0.5 seconds.


Once Fall has ended, the Tree goes into "Winter" and loses all leaves.


If the Tree is in Winter, the Tree enters "Spring". Green leaves will appear on the Tree and an aura of life will appear around the Tree, restoring the health of nearby ally Heroes by 55(+4% per level) health every 0.5 seconds.

Once Spring has ended, the Tree goes into "Summer" and the leaves will become more yellow/green.

(Needs to be near terrain or a Tree to cast and has to target an area near terrain or a Tree)

After 0.5 seconds, phase into the terrain/Tree and appear near the targeted terrain/Tree after 0.5 seconds.

Requires vision of the targeted location.

Aessina calls upon forest wisps to reveal the targeted area for 1 second. Afterwards, the area near the terrain in the targeted area is revealed for 9 seconds.

Cost: 95 Mana
Cooldown: 65 Seconds
Cast Range: 10
Range between each Tree: 4


After 1 second, 8 Trees are summoned in the shape of a octagon in the targeted area. These Trees do not count towards the tree limit and will be destroyed after 15 seconds.

Grove of Aessina will become a Grove of Life.

Move 15% faster while near terrain or a Tree and for 1 second afterwards.

Love the concept! However, wouldn't it be classified as a healer and not a support? While it does provide some utility other than healing, it's main focus is healing, similar to Malfurion. Also, is there a limit to how many trees can be on the battlefield at once? I think having a limit would help prevent some weird exploits/tricks with it.

I really really love this concept, one thing I think would be cooler would be if seasons were global (I believe it also makes more sense that way) and the season effects work in the area between trees (changing grove of life's effect to damage at fall).
I also think trees should be destructible, it can be a high amount like 5 basic attacks or something, but it still shouldnt be permanent).
