Viz-Jaq'taar

A melee stealth hero from the diablo universe.

Combat Trait

Cloak of Shadows (D)
Gain stealth when out of combat for 3 Seconds. Taking damage, attacking, or channeling reveals you.

Activate to evade all Basic Attacks for 3 Seconds. 30 Second Cooldown.

Primary Abilities

Dragon Talon (Q)
Cooldown: 2 Seconds

Kick your opponent, dealing your basic attack damage and unleashing the effects of your charge up skill.

Fists of Fire (W)
Activate to switch between gaining fists of fire charges or Tiger strike charges on Basic Attack. Charges are reset upon switching, max 3 charges, charges last until you stealth.

1 Charge: Burn target for bonus damage.
2 Charges: Burn becomes AoE.
3 Charges: AoE persists, dealing DoT for 3 Seconds.

Tiger Strike (W2)
1 Charge: 100% bonus damage.
2 Charges: 200% bonus damage.
3 Charges: 300% bonus damage.

Trap (E)
Charge Cooldown: 15 Seconds
Max Charges: 2

Placing a trap does not break stealth, and trap will remain stealthed until activated by a nearby enemy's presence. If activated, shoots charged bolts in the direction of enemies 3 times, once per second. Lasts 45 Seconds or until activated.

Fire Blast (E Talent)
Cooldown: 6 Seconds

Throw a fire bomb that deals small AoE damage.

Throw out a spinning blade in target direction to patrol between its max range and the casting position 3 times.

Shadow Warrior
Cooldown: 30 Seconds after death.

Summons a shadow of yourself that stealths when you do and attacks what you attack.

Talents

Weapon Block - Every third basic attack reduces the next basic attack against you by 50%. Max 2 Charges.
Wake of Fire (E) - A wave of fire is released instead of charged bolts, making it harder to dodge.
Mind Blast (Trait) - Enemy minions and mercenaries become confused and attack each other for 3 Seconds.
Regeneration Master - 
Claw Mastery - (Seasoned Marksman)

Focused Attack - 
Wake of Inferno (E) - Enemies near the trap are burned, and each trap shoots 1 extra time.
Dragon Tail (Q) - Knock back target. (This effect has a 8 Second Cooldown.)
Cobra Strike (W) - Heal for 30% of base damage dealt per charge.
Psychic Hammer (Trait) - Also knocks back nearby enemies.

Fire Blast (E) - Trap becomes fire blast when you have no charges.
Dragon Claw (Q) - Attack twice at once (Charge Up only procs off one attack) gaining a charge after charge up is unleashed. (This effect has a 4 Second Cooldown.)
Dragon Flight (Q) - Jump to your target. (This effect has a 8 Second Cooldown.)
Fade (Trait) - Evade the next ability within the duration.
Venom (Searing Attacks) - Activate to cause your weapons to deal damage over time.

Death Sentry (E) - Each enemy that dies near the trap explodes, dealing damage to nearby enemies, and trap shoots 1 extra time.
Martial Artist (W) - Charges persist through stealth.
Burst of Speed (Trait) - Gain 25% movement speed for 5 Seconds when you stealth and 25% attack speed for 5 Seconds when you lose stealth.
Spell Shield -

Lightning Sentry (E) - Each charge now also shoots lightning directly at a main target, preferring heroes.
Pheonix Strike (W) - Adds AoE damage per charge, third charge slows enemies affected by 20%.

No escapes. No initiations, either. Burst of Speed would be the only talent anyone would take at 13 because of this. It also feels like stealth is inherently bursty and this won't allow for it. Needing to build up charges seems to run counter to how Zeratul and Nova play, both being ambushers relying on front load damage and a slow to pursue.

So, charges are working like pressing "W-W-W-W-W" and then unleashing charge with "Q"?

I tried to keep it similar to the way it functioned in D2, so right clicking to do basic attacks will get you charges, pressing W will only change whether you're building Fists of Fire or Tiger Strike charges, then you press Q to unleash them.

I admit I'm a little bit afraid of another stealth hero

I really wanted to make this hero concept because I think the assassin is the best candidate from the diablo universe to be a stealth hero, since right now we only have 2 starcraft stealth heroes and the next most likely is probably going to be a rogue from warcraft.

I mean I remember how it was working in Diablo 2, it was about clicking mouse buttons, so I'm interested how it could be converted into HoTS. But if I understand well your concept of charges, it's seems to be reasonable and interesting. I like that.

I admit I'm a little bit afraid of another stealth hero (I just immagined myself playing against team with Nova, Zeratul and Assassin on Blackheart's Bay :D ) but maybe then we could just add more heroes with vision abilities (maybe even a hero who just permanently see stealthed heroes, not only reveals them) and other contras and then it could work well.

Alternatively her trait could be also Blade Shield (I always loved to play with this ability in D2, it would be contr-ability for meleee heroes), Fade (that could gain contra for ranged heroes) or Speed. Anyway Cloak of Shadows still is good.

I just finished a D2 assassin concept as well haha. It's interesting to see a different take on it. I like the way you included Fire Bomb, seems like it would work well mechanically.
