Lord of Destruction

A horrifying Summoner who punishes careless offense.




Designed with the intent of dealing high damage from the backline and the ability to punish wayward skillshots and positioning.


Excels against Li-Ming, Jaina, and Genji.


Works well with E.T.C, Auriel, and Medivh.


Struggles against Greymane, Chromie, and Zarya.


Favors Battlefield of Eternity, Infernal Shrines, and Tomb of the Spider Queen.

Wisdom of the Damned
Dealing damage with one of your Abilities increases the Ability Power of your next Ability within 10 seconds by 20%. This bonus does not affect consecutive casts of the same Ability.

Festering Appendage

Charges: 3
Place a gruesome tentacle at the target area. This tentacle has 347(+4%) health and deals 63(+4%) damage to nearby enemies within melee range. When the tentacle is killed, it explodes, dealing 124(+4%) damage to all nearby enemies. Festering Appendages last for up to 30 seconds.

Incineration Nova
Mana: 50
Cooldown: 13 seconds
Send forth a ball of fire in the target direction. If this ball hits an enemy, it deals 97(+4.5%) damage and a nova of flames expands outward from them, dealing 103(+4%) damage to all affected enemies. If the flame nova hits a Festering Appendage, the tentacle explodes but does not die.

Mana Rift
Mana: 10 per second
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Channel a beam of chaotic energies in the direction of your mouse cursor, dealing 37(+4%) damage every 0.5 seconds to all enemies in the path. Enemies who take damage from Mana Rift have their Mana costs increased by 35% for 4 seconds. You can change the direction of this beam with your mouse cursor, and can channel it indefinitely.

Cooldown: 130 seconds
Vector Targeting
Activate to teleport to a nearby destination and spawn a Vile Effigy near you that appears identical to you to the enemy team for up to 20 seconds. This Effigy has 974(+4%) health and copies all your Basic Ability casts, aiming them in the direction of your mouse cursor. You can control the Vile Effigy's movement with the Heroic Ability button.

Hoarfrost
Mana: 85
Cooldown: 75 seconds
Emit a cone of icy wind in the target direction, dealing 143(+4%) damage to all affected enemies, knocking them back the length of the cone, and Slowing them by 35% for 3 seconds. In addition, all affected enemies refresh their cooldowns 40% slower for 4 seconds.

Talents

Level 1-
- Vicious Temper (Trait): Using a Basic Ability makes Baal's next Basic Attack deal Spell Damage and gain the effect of Wisdom of the Damned.
- Destructive Blight (Q): Dealing damage with a Festering Appendage increases the duration of all active Festering Appendages by 1 second.
Quest: Increase the duration of active Festering Appendages by 500 seconds.
Reward: Dealing damage with a Festering Appendage reduces the cooldown of Incineration Nova and Mana Rift by 0.3 seconds.

- Stable Anomaly (E): Baal can now move at 30% speed while channeling Mana Rift.


Level 4-
- Invigorating Conflagration (W): Baal is healed for 53(+4.5%) for each enemy affected by Incineration Nova.
- The Death of Nations (Q): Enemies damaged by a Festering Appendage take an additional 100 (+4%) damage over 4 seconds and are Revealed during this time.
- Unchallenged (Trait): using an Ability augmented by Wisdom of the Damned now grants Baal a stack of Block, granting him 40 Physical Armor against the next Heroic Basic Attack directed against him. Block stacks gained in this way can stack up to 3 times.

Level 7-
- Cauterize (W): Enemies affected by Incineration Nova now receive 20% less healing for 2.5 seconds.
- Energy Drain (E): The Mana cost of Mana Rift is reduced by 2 Mana per second for every affected enemy Hero.
- Lavish Destruction (Trait): The Ability Power bonus from Wisdom of the Damned is increased by 4% every time Baal gets a Takedown, up to a total of 40% additional bonus Ability Power. Ability Power granted by this talent is lost upon death.



Level 10-
- Vile Effigy (R1)
- Hoarfrost (R2)


Level 13-
- Stubborn Rot (Q): Festering Appendages now have 40 Spell Armor for the first 2 seconds of their duration.
- Mana Shield (E): Baal now gains a shield for 100(+4%) for 5 seconds when enemies affected by Mana Rift use an ability.
- Gruesome Vigor (Q): Whenever a Festering Appendage deals damage, Baal is healed by 43(+4%).


Level 16-
- Supernova (W): The initial projectile of Incineration Nova now pierces, exploding each time it hits an enemy Hero.
- Putrid Flesh (Q): The explosion caused when a Festering Appendage dies deals 2% more damage for every second that the Festering Appendage remained alive, up to 80% bonus damage.
- Volatility (E): Mana Rift now causes an explosion every time it deals damage, dealing an additional 45 (+4%) damage to all enemies near the affected enemy.


Level 20-
- Homunculus (R1): Baal gains 20 Armor while the Vile Effigy lives, and its duration is refreshed by 5 seconds whenever a Takedown occurs during its lifespan
- Permafrost (R2): Hoarfrost now also creates an unpathable wall at the end of the cone for 3 seconds.
- Blood Mana (E): While under the effect of Mana Rift, enemy Heroes take an additional 72(+4%) damage whenever they use an ability, with the ability's mana cost added to the damage dealt.
- Tal Rasha's Wisdom (Trait): The Ability Power bonus from Wisdom of the Damned now increases by 5% Ability Power with each successive application of the bonus, up to a total of 30% additional bonus Ability Power. This bonus is lost if Baal uses the same Ability twice in a row or does not use an Ability for 8 seconds.
