The Destroyer

One of the most respected warriors in the Horde, Blackhand became the renowned chieftain of the powerful Blackrock clan on Draenor. With his massive musculature and dominating presence, he formed brilliant strategies and maintained rigorous order within his armies.


Blackhand is an aggressive melee assassin that excels at 1v1 combat. Proper use of his Q, 'Slag Strike', is required to reset his auto-attack and make up for his relatively slow attack speed. Either dispatch him quickly or flee immediately; too much time spent engaging Blackhand tips the odds in his favor. Permanently.

Combat Trait

War Machine
Basic attacks against heroes increases the damage Blackhand deals to that target by 0.5%.

This damage bonus is divided equally among all enemy players 5 seconds after Blackhand's last basic attack against a hero, where it will remain for the rest of the game.

Primary Abilities

Slag Strike
Instantly attack, slamming the target and coating them in molten slag. Enemies coated in molten slag are dealt low damage over 3 seconds. 6 second cooldown. Slag Strikes are counted as basic attacks.

Molten slag heals Blackhand for 25% of the damage it deals.

Marked For Death
Shoot out a line of fire that deals low damage. The first enemy hero it hits will become Marked For Death, causing Blackhand to attack that target 35% faster for 4 seconds. 12 second cooldown.

In addition Blackhand moves 20% faster while moving over the flame left by Marked For Death.

Blackhand's Crucible
Summon a large ring of molten slag around Blackhand that slowly fills inward, dealing low damage to enemies and slowing them by 20%. Lasts 4 seconds. 16 second cooldown.

Molten slag heals Blackhand for 25% of the damage it deals.

Heroic Abilities

Iron Star
Launch a short range Iron Star through the air that will explode upon landing, dealing high damage and stunning enemies in the center of the explosion for 1.5 seconds. In addition the area of impact is coated in molten slag for 6 seconds. 40 second cooldown.

Pride of the Blackrock
Increase your attack speed by 50% for 6 seconds.

Basic attacks your deal to heroes during Pride of the Blackrock grant you Unkillable status for 1 second.

When the effect expires you are healed for 25% of the damage you dealt during its duration.

80 second cooldown.

TALENTS

Level 1:
Block: Periodically reduces the damage received from Hero Basic Attacks by 50%. Stores up to 2 charges.
Cannon Fodder: Enemy minions that die near you add 0.05% damage to your War Machine total.
Slag Slam: Slag Strike's damage splashes, coating nearby enemies in molten slag.
Reforger: Reduces the mana cost of your basic abilities by a % equal to your current average War Machine damage bonus.

Level 4:
Cower: Your first attack against an enemy under the effects of Marked for Death roots them for 1 second.
Spitfire: Marked For Death can ricochet to one other enemy hero. This ricochet only has half the range.
Blackrock Crucible: Increases the size of Blackhand's Crucible by 25%, and increases its duration by 1 second.
Test Your Metal: Increases the damage dealt by Blackhand's Crucible by 75%.

Level 7:
Cruel-cible: Enemies are slowed by 90% for 1 second when they cross the threshold of Blackhand's Crucible.
Lava Floes: Blackhand's Crucible moves with Blackhand and fills in 50% faster, but its cooldown is increased to 20 seconds.
Jackhammer: Reduces the damage of Slag Strikes impact by 40%, but it now strikes twice.
Marked For Destruction: Increases the attack speed bonus of Marked For Death to 50%.

Level 10:
Iron Star: Launch a short range Iron Star through the air that will explode upon landing, dealing high damage and stunning enemies in the center of the explosion for 1.5 seconds. In addition the area of impact is coated in molten slag for 6 seconds.
Pride of the Blackrock: Increase your attack speed by 50% for 8 seconds. While under the effects of Pride of the Blackrock you cannot be killed. When the effect expires you are healed for 1% of your health for every basic attack you performed during the effects duration.

Level 13:
Get on the Scene: War Machine can be activated to increase your movement speed by X% for 3 seconds, where X is your current average War Machine damage bonus. 30 second cooldown.
Fall Back: Activate to heal yourself for a % of your health equal to your current average War Machine damage bonus over 5 seconds. While under the effects of this heal War Machine is temporarily disabled. 30 second cooldown.
Super Slag: Increases the duration of molten slag applied by Slag Strike to 6 seconds and all sources of molten slag now heal you for 50% of the damage it deals.
Firewall: Increases the range of Marked For Death by 100%.

Level 16:
Inevitable: Blackhand is unstoppable while moving through the fire left behind from Marked For Death.
Iron Will: Damage against Blackhand is reduced by 30% while he is within the circumference of Blackhand's Crucible.
Not Once, Not Twice...: Every third cast of Slag Strike is a critical hit, dealing 50% more damage.
Forged In Fire: War Machine gains a temporary 2% bonus for each enemy hero currently taking damage from molten slag.

Level 20:
Chieftain of the Blackrock: Increases the duration of Pride of the Blackrock to 8 seconds and you now move 20% faster while it is active.
Super Star: Increases the impact area of Iron Star by 35%. In addition the cooldown of Iron Star is reduced by 4 seconds for each enemy hero it hits.
Warlord: Increase the damage bonus granted by War Machine to 1% per basic attack. This effect is not retroactive.
Bolt Of The Storm: Activate to teleport to a nearby location.

Thanks! And yea I've been getting some feedback about War Machine. The numbers could obviously be played with, and it could be balanced by his attack speed, his base damage before stacks, etc.

Some clarification on his trait: it's spread globally. So say Blackhand hits you three times. You'd have a marker (visible to Blackhand) that said 1.5% damage bonus against you. You run away, and after 5 seconds have passed since Blackhand has dealt a basic attack to an enemy hero that bonus gets equally divided among all enemy heroes. So Blackhand can look down and see he currently does 0.3% bonus damage to all enemy players.

Again, the numbers would need to be played with to find a happy balance between Blackhand being too weak before he farms some stacks and too strong once he gained some.

Nice concept. I think you should put a more appropriate title for him, something like warchief of the blackrock clan. Also i think war machine is a little op. Keeo up the good work :)
