Cairne Bloodhoof

High Chieftain of Thunder Bluff

Melee Warrior
Cairne united the tauren tribes and founded the city of Thunder Bluff with the aid of the Horde. A wise and strong leader, this Chieftain will do anything to defend his people and to follow the Earthmother.

Combat Trait

1
Endurance Aura [Passive]
You and nearby allied Heroes benefit from increased Health regeneration.

Primary Abilities

1
Shockwave [Q]
Releases a shockwave that deals small damage and slows enemies hit in its path.
2
War Stomp [W]
Stomps the ground, damaging and stunning nearby enemies.
3
Spirit Link [E]
Forms a spirit link between you and the target allied Hero. For the duration, whenever you or the target takes damage, the damage is split between you and the target.

Heroic Abilities

1
Reincarnate (Passive)
When you die, you return to life in the same place after a delay, with a fraction of your total health and mana. Long cooldown.
2
Ancestral Spirit [R2]
Summon an ancestral spirit. You can issue move commands to it (with R). The spirit cannot attack but it can be attacked and damaged, having the same total health as you, and can bodyblock enemies. It also benefits from your abilities in the following manner:
- Shockwave: The spirit also sends a wave in the same direction.
- War Stomp: The spirit also stomps.
- Spirit Link: The link is formed between you, the target allied Hero, and the spirit, dividing damage three ways.
- Endurance Aura: The aura also emanates from the spirit.

NOTES

Cairne was the Tauren Chieftain hero from Warcraft III, and this concept bears resemblance to that hero and other tauren-related concepts. He is a heavy tank with some support abilities, and while his initiation is not very good, he's very sticky and can take his share of punishment.
I feel like this design captures well the essence of Cairne and the tauren race (there is ETC, but his kit doesn't represent the race...) while making an unique hero for the game.
Note: the same design could be used for Baine, son of Cairne, but I think Cairne is more popular.

This is so basic but I think it's really good. If this becomes real, I think it's a really viable hero. Spirit Link will be very useful if you have squishy teammates. You get an upvote. :)
