C'Thun

The Old God

One of the five Old Gods, C'Thun is one of the most powerful beings to ever live on Azeroth. C'Thun ruled over the young world as the creator and god of the Qiraji.

Combat Trait

1
God of the Qiraji
C'thun replaces your team's core.

C'thun is unable to move, and instead supports his team with globally ranged spells.

C'thun's body is immune to damage until all allied keeps and forts have been killed.

C'thun has higher health than the core, but does not have shields. Instead his health naturally regenerates when not attacked for 30 seconds.

Primary Abilities

1
Mind Flayer Tentacle
Summons a Mind Flayer Tentacle that attacks the targeted hero. The eye tentacle does low damage to the targeted hero and slows them. The tentacle can be killed with damage, and despawns when the targeted hero moves out of its attack range.

15 second cooldown.
2
Claw Tentacle
Summons a claw tentacle at the targeted area. Claw tentacles are immoble melee units who have a large hitbox, meaning they are able to body enemy heroes movement as a normal hero would. Enemies near the claw tentacles are attacked for medium damage. Lasts 15 seconds or until killed.

7 Second cooldown, only one claw tentacle may be active at a time.
3
All-Seeing Eye
Reveals an area for 10 seconds. Enemies in that area are revealed for 5 seconds. Revealed enemies take 20% more damage from C'thun's abilities.

25 Second Cooldown.

Heroic Abilities

1
Summon Anubisath
Summons one Anubisath in each lane on the map. Anubisath are uncontrollable NPCs who act similarly to lane minons. An Anubisath does high damage to structures and will cast the spell "Meteor" dealing high damage spread evenly among all targets in an area. (Read: More targets=Less individual damage taken)

120 second cooldown.
2
Eye beam
Fire a low-damage beam at the targeted enemy hero. This beam then arcs to nearby enemy heroes dealing Increased damage with each arc. No hero may be hit twice by an eye beam cast. Each additional hero hit decreases the cooldown by 5 seconds.

60 second base cooldown.

Playstyle

C'Thun controls the battlefield his powerful globally ranged tentacles, vision granting abilities and a choice between a sieging and team fight focused heroic ability.

The vision granted from All-Seeing Eye and slow Mind Flayer Tentacles help allies survive ambushes, while Mind Flayer Tentacle and Claw Tentacle make enemy retreats costly.

The Anubisath summon serves as a threat, chipping away at undefended positions similar to Abathur's Monstrosity, with the disadvantage of being uncontrollable.

Eye beam serves as a punishing zoning tool in team fights, forcing enemies to spread themselves thin, or risk sustaining massive damage from the chain.

C'Thun also serves as a Hard-Counter to team compositions oriented towards backstabbing the enemies core, as all allied keeps and forts must be destroyed before C'Thun is Vulnerable to attack. (As opposed to the single Keep Death required to kill the normal core)
