Play Style

This was a personal project for me, partly to prove that Overwatch heroes can translate to Heroes of the Storm and be faithful to their play style in Overwatch, without being a blatant ripoff of Tracer's Heroes of the Storm port.

D.Va has two modes: MEKA Mode and Pilot Mode. When MEKA is reduced to 0 HP, D.Val will eject and be in Pilot mode, where she is much more fragile and lacks the mobility, range and firepower of her Mech.

In MEKA Mode, she has access to all her abilities, and they synergize with each other. Lock On! is similar to Tychus' Overkill, except that it doesn't damage anything but the hero you are locked on to. Defense Matrix plays a little differently than it does in Overwatch. It makes her hunker down and armor up, which could be crucial for holding down a control/capture point or trying to stay alive until a cooldown refreshes. Attacking or moving breaks the shield. Then there's Rabbit Punch, which charges and very briefly stuns an enemy. This can be used to close the distance on a mobile foe and finish them off with Lock On!

In Pilot Mode, D.Va is vulnerable, but has a slightly increased movement speed, and is unstoppable for half a second. She has to be careful and patient as the cooldown on Call Mech slowly refreshes, and each basic attack with her Light Gun will decrease that timer.

What makes D.Va unique in Heroes of the Storm is that she has access to both her Heroic Abilities, depending on which mode she is in when she uses it. MEKA Mode has Self Destruct, which overloads the Mech, dealing massive damage in a large area AND greatly reduces the cooldown on Call Mech. Then there's MEKA Mark II, a powerfully upgraded test version of the Mech. Mark II is unstable, though, and begins to degrade and eventually break down. However, while she is in the Mark II, the cooldown on Call Mech will continue to tick down, so by the time it breaks down, she could immediately suit up in the original Mech.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this. Feedback is appreciated. :)
