Emil Narud is a stealth assassin much like Nova and Zeratul.  He specializes in creating confusion and disarray then taking advantage of it by picking off weakened enemies.

Remember that displacement is designed as a skill shot, and it was made to act very similarly to Stitches' hook. The difference is that, yes he can trap heroes behind a friendly base unlike Stitches, but the trade off is that Narud becomes vulnerable due to the displacement. Its definitely stronger in the early game, but you won't be able to use it do the gate trap towards the mid and late game. You will also be punished more for making a mistake with displacement.

As for his trait, most players won't be fooled by an extra minion on the field especially if its moving autonomously. It is mostly supposed to be a weaker cloak, primarily making him invisible on the minimap and grant the ability to go behind enemy lines for kills. It could also be used with shroud on an enemy minion wave to disguise himself for a time.

I think displacement is somewhat overpowered.
An enemy hero attacking a gate could often and easily be eliminated by placing him on the other side where he cannot escape.
It's a cool ability but the cooldown as well as the mana cost should be increased.

Also I am not convinced of his trait but maybe I just don't get it.
