Griswold

The Blacksmith of Tristram

Griswold the Blacksmith is an offensive support character from the Diablo universe. While he can provide some defensive capabilities for his team, he offers great utility and a single-target attack power buff. Armed with an area-of-effect stun and good survivability through his trait, his talent options allow him to skill into the role of a tanky initiator.

Combat Trait

1
Armor Up
Whenever he uses a basic ability, Griswold gains a shield. Talent options allow Griswold to make this shield stronger, and to make shields permanent rather than fading after several seconds. This makes it possible for Griswold to buff himself until he has the hit point pool of a tank.

Primary Abilities

1
Tempered Blades
For the next six seconds, this spell's target will score a critical hit on an autoattack once every second. This ability is designed to be stronger on heroes with slow and powerful autoattacks rather than a very high attack speed.
2
Echo Chamber
This cone-shaped skillshot gives all affected allied characters a shield, while slowing enemy movement speed. The trade-off between defensive capabilities and offensive utility should create interesting decisions for the player.
3
Anvil Strike
Griswold calls upon the infused might of his anvil to stun his enemies in a delayed skillshot. This medium-sized area-of-effect stun is not easy to land, but can devastate the enemy team when used effectively.

Heroic Abilities

1
Repair All
Griswold strikes the ground with his hammer, affecting all allies within range. After a delay, all affected characters gain a shield equal to the damage they sustained during this time. This ability is a strong defense against area of effect damage, but skilled teams can counter it by killing targets before their shield can trigger, or focusing their damage onto one hero.
2
Legendary Set
Griswold dons a set of legendary armor, and briefly transforms into a great warrior. Both his attack speed and movement speed are greatly increased during this time, making him a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
