Grommash Hellscream

Chieftain of the Warsong

Chieftain of the Warsong Clan, Grommash is a melee tank focused around self sustain(optionally transitioning to a damaging bruiser) through smart spending and acquisition of Felblood. He enters battle as a savage whirlwind of calculated steel and blood and is severely punished by poor attempts at initiation.

Combat Trait

Cooldown: 45s

Trait 'Ferocity'
Gain 1 armor per 5% Felblood
All Felblood is lost on death

Starts the game with 0% Felblood


Slowly drip Felblood into Grommash's body, increasing his felblood counter by 10% over 5s

Cooldown is reduced by 1s for each minion death nearby, and 4s for each enemy hero attacked.

Primary Abilities

Warsong Combo

Cooldown: (3s - Felblood %) in between | 20s after full combo
Each usage of this skill changes it's next effect, if Grommash takes 275 damage before he can cast the next ability in the combo, Combo enters its full cooldown.

Gain 2% Felblood for every enemy hero hit by any damaging Warsong Combo


Stages
  • Jump into the air and crash down on the target site, dealing small damage and slowing for .5s
  • Perform a massive whirlwind attack, knocking enemies a very short distance away and dealing medium amount of DoT, healing for 100% of the damage done.
  • (unlocked at 20% Felblood) Charge in a direction and slam when colliding with an enemy hero, stunning for .75s in an AoE
  • (unlocked at 60% Felblood) Throw Gorehowl in a thin line, maiming the first enemy hero hit, dealing high DoT and inflicting a 2s Fading Slow

Mannoroth's Resilience

Cooldown: 5s

Costs 3% Felblood for every 150 damage blocked


Spend Felblood to block the next 4 sources of Basic Attack or Spell damage, reducing damage by 50%. Lasts 3s

Unending Bloodlust

Cooldown: 10s

Costs 15% Felblood


Spend Felblood to enable 100% life steal on all damage done to heroes in the next 5 seconds, whilst taking 4% of your Maximum HP as damage(doesn't cancel Warsong Combo) per second.

Also causes auto attacks to charge to an enemy hero if within medium range.

Heroic Abilities

Cooldown: 3s / toggleable

Consumes 4% Felblood per second.


Channel your Felblood into Gorehowl, empowering its next Warsong Combo by 10% per second (Effect lasting until combo used, multiple uses of this ult stack)

Power of the Warsong

Cooldown: 110s


Summon a horde of 14 Orcs to flood the lane, preferring to attack Minions and Structures over Heroes.

General Playstyle

Grommash is about getting in fights at opportune moments and being smart with your Felblood consumption and generating.

The ideal fight is for his team's initiator to go in and get the fight started, so Grom can jump in and do his full combo(which repeats, if not interupted) for as long as he can and spending just enough Felblood to maintain all 4 moves of the combo.

At level 10 he can choose to branch between burst push with an extra wave of orcs or teamfight brawling with an insanely powered up warsong combo.
