Gui Montag

Confederate Firebat

Health: 2532 (+4%/level)
Health Regeneration: 5.27 (+4%/level)

Attack Damage: 80
Attack Speed: 0.75
Attack Range: 4

Gui Montag is designed as a risky, high-damage tank with a focus on strong wave-clear and area denial. He must carefully manage his Overheating for optimal damage output, but must be wary of the self-damage and silence that comes with too much heat. At level 4, he must make the decision to either play it safe and be a more responsible tank with Emergency Venting, or go for maximum aggression and damage output with No Sweat. His weaknesses include Overheating's drawbacks, as well as a lack of CC.

Combat Trait

1
Overheating
Passive

Every Ability Gui Montag uses generates Overheating, up to a maximum of 100. For every Overheating stack he has, Gui Montag deals 0.75% bonus damage. If he has at least 50 Overheating, he takes 80 (+4%/level) damage per second, and if he has at least 100 Overheating he takes 180 (+4%/level) damage per second. He passively loses 1 stack per second.

If Gui Montag hits maximum stacks, he maintains these for 4 seconds with 25% bonus damage (for a total of 100% bonus damage) then begins cooling down, losing stacks at a rate of 35 per second until he reaches 0. He is silenced while cooling down.

Abilities deal bonus damage according to how many Overheating stacks Gui Montag had at the time of casting.
2
Flamethrowers
Passive

Gui Montag's Basic Attacks deal damage in a cone-shaped area of effect in front of him. His Basic Attacks generate 4 Overheating and deal an additional 22 (+4%/level) damage per second for 3 seconds. This effect overlaps with itself, but the duration is not refreshed with subsequent attacks.

Primary Abilities

1
Blastwave [Q]
Generates 15 Overheating.

Knocks all nearby enemies away from Gui Montag, and leaves behind a circular zone of fire burning enemies standing in it for 34 (+4%/level) damage per second. Lasts for 3 seconds.

The fire is slightly bigger than the knockback range.

Cooldown: 8 seconds.
2
Prometheus Reactor [W]
Generates 4 Overheating per second.

When active, Gui Montag's movement speed is increased by 10%, increasing by 4% per consecutive second this ability remains active, up to a maximum of 30%.

Activates automatically upon hitting maximum Overheating.

Can be toggled on and off.
3
Molten Slag [E]
Generates 20 Overheating.

Hurls a chunk of superheated slag, dealing 120 (+4%/level) damage to enemies it passes through and reducing their Armor by 25 for 2 seconds. Each enemy the slag has already passed through reduces the damage by 20 (+4%/level) and the Armor reduction by 5.

Thus affecting a maximum of 5 enemies.

Cooldown: 12 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

1
Scorched Earth [R1]
Generates 40 Overheating.

After a brief delay, saturates the target area with a volatile gas that lasts for up to 6 seconds. Enemies inside are slowed by 20%. If Gui Montag attacks into the area, or if one of his Abilities affects this area, the gas instantly explodes, dealing 418 (+4%/level) damage to enemies inside. Affected enemies are then slowed by 50%, decaying over 3 seconds.

Area is quite large, about 7 range in radius.

Cooldown: 90 seconds.
2
Stim Pack [R2]
Does not generate any Overheating.

Increases Gui Montag's Basic Attack speed by 50% for 6 seconds. Any damage taken during this effect is instead taken as damage over time spread over the next 6 seconds.

Cooldown: 90 seconds.
