                 A huge gnoll, Hogger, is prowling the woods in southwestern Elwynn. He has overpowered all attempts at his capture...

      
Hogger is a melee Warrior, but more than that he is a bruiser and a bully. Any 'tankiness' Hogger possesses comes from his Gnoll Warriors; a sort of "lightning-shield-turned-meat-shield" pack of smaller Gnolls who move with him and absorb incoming damage.

Combat Trait

Elite (Passive)
Hogger is always 2 levels higher than his team.

Note: Keep in mind his stats would be balanced with this trait in mind. The main benefit of this trait is that he gets talents earlier than the rest of his team.

Primary Abilities

(Q) Hack & Slash
When activated causes each of Hogger's basic attacks to increases his attack speed by 3%, to a maximum of 30%.

Every subsequent basic attack (after reaching the 30% cap) reduces Hogger's attack speed by 6% until he reaches normal attack speed again.

Cooldown does not begin until Hogger's attack speed has returned to normal. 12 second cooldown.

(W) Riverpaw Rush
Charge forward in a line, dealing X damage to every enemy you pass through and healing for X for every enemy you pass through. 12 second cooldown.

Gnoll Warriors must run to catch up with Hogger after Riverpaw Rush is used.

(E) Gnoll Call
Every 10 seconds Hogger summons a Gnoll Warrior that follows him for 30 seconds or until it is killed.

Passive: Gnoll Warriors patrol in a circle around Hogger, periodically swinging their axes and dealing damage to nearby enemies. 20% of all damage to Hogger is divided among all passive Gnoll Warriors.

Active: Gnoll Warriors will assist Hogger by attacking his target. Active Gnoll Warriors do not absorb damage dealt to Hogger.

2 second cooldown on Active/Passive toggle.

Heroic Abilities

The Gnoll King
Activate to cause every third basic attack you deal to summon a Gnoll Warrior that will exclusively attack that target for 10 seconds. Lasts 10 seconds. 60 second cooldown.

Damage dealt by Hogger is increased by 3% for each active Gnoll Warrior while The Gnoll King is active.

Most Wanted
Place a bounty on an enemy heroes' head that lasts for 10 seconds. 2 charges, 60 second recharge.

Allied heroes near an enemy hero that dies with a bounty on their head are healed for 20% of their health.

Talent Tree

Level 1:
-What Does 'Elite' Mean?: Damage dealt by enemy heroes to Hogger is reduced by 10% if he is 3 or more levels higher than them.
-Scout: Causes a Gnoll Warrior to drop formation and run to the target area. Gnoll Warrior's vision radius is 25% that of a hero. Always chooses the Gnoll Warrior with the longest remaining duration. A scouting Gnoll Warrior cannot attack.
-Sic 'Em!: Enemy heroes are stunned for 0.25 seconds for every Gnoll Warrior that runs through them after Hogger uses Riverpaw Rush.
-Regeneration Master: Picking up Regeneration Globes permanently increases health regeneration by 1.5 per second.

Level 4:
-This Isn't The Park...: Increases the health of Gnoll Warriors by 25%

-Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: Damage dealt by Gnoll Warriors causes the target to bleed for an additional 35% of the damage they deal over 3 seconds.
-Pack Hunters: Increase the speed of Hogger and his Gnoll Warriors by 3% for every active Gnoll Warrior.
-Maneater's Best Friends: Increases the damage redirected to passive Gnoll Warriors by Gnoll Call to 30%

Level 7:
-Littermates: Gnoll Call gains a 20% chance to summon an extra Gnoll Warrior.

-Newbie Snacks: Enemy heroes that die near Hogger drop a health globe if he is 1 or more levels higher than them. This health globe only benefits Hogger.
-Riverpaw Shaman: Every 3rd Gnoll Warrior summoned by Gnoll Call becomes a Riverpaw Shaman. Riverpaw Shaman periodically heal Hogger while passive. Riverpaw Shaman are counted as Gnoll Warriors.
-Flay & Neuter: Damage dealt by Hack & Slash slows the target by 20% for 2 seconds. Consecutive attacks refresh the duration, but the slow does not stack.

Level 10:

See above section.


Level 13:
-Fur Frenzy: Causes all remaining Gnoll Warriors to move and attack 50% faster when a Gnoll Warrior is killed until the next Gnoll Warrior is summoned.

-The Gassy Gnoll: Increases the speed of Riverpaw Rush by 40%. In addition, Hogger leaves a cloud of gas in his wake that damages enemies and heals Gnoll Warriors that pass through it.
-Best In Show: Gain an additional 10
% attack speed during Hack & Slash if a Gnoll Warrior is killed while Hack & Slash is active.
-Rabid: Hack & Slash gains a leeching effect, causing it to heal Hogger for 1% of the damage he deals while it is active. This effect increases in relation to Hack & Slash's attack speed increase, maxing out at 10%, with subsequent auto attacks decaying it at a rate of 2%.


Level 16:

-Hack The Planet!:
Each auto attack done in the first 5 seconds of activating Hack & Slash reduces the cooldown before the next Hack & Slash can be used by 0.5 seconds.
-Fetch!: Reduces the cooldown of Riverpaw Rush by 0.5 seconds for every enemy hero it hits and Riverpaw Rush can be used again once for free for 2 seconds if it hits an enemy hero.
-Stop Trying To Make 'Fetch' Happen...: Increase the cooldown of Riverpaw Rush by 2 seconds, however it now roots targets it hits for 2 seconds.
-Old Yeller: Enemies that attack you or your Gnoll Warriors have their attack speed slowed by 50%.


Level 20:

-Forest Just Setback!: Increases the duration of The Gnoll King to 15 seconds. In addition, every Gnoll Warrior that dies during The Gnoll King's duration heals Hogger for 5% of his health.
-Dead Or Alive:
Nearby enemy heroes with a bounty on their head from Most Wanted also passively heal Hogger and his allies for 20% of their health over 10 seconds (works like Brightwing's trait). This healing can only occur once per bounty and is triggered the first time Hogger or one of his allies comes into range

-Pure Breed:
Raises the rest of your allies' levels to be the same as yours for 10 seconds. Talents chosen by allies during this window are permanent; however they become locked out after the 10 second duration until your allies reach the appropriate level to use them. 90 second cooldown.

-Westfall Kennel Club: Upon death, summon 10 Gnoll Warriors that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds.

Very good concept, if this become a real hero, I would be the first tp buy him, I love Hogger and the Gnolls!

Thanks! It's one of my earlier concepts so it's a little sloppy, but regardless of how he turns out I'd love to see Hogger in the game.

True. But I mean... that's level 28. Plus there are many times in the game when that talent wouldn't work. It only works if your team has at least a 1 level lead. It's a gamble.

the level one talent does nothing when the enemy team reaches level 28...
