Commander-in-Chief of the Dominion Armed Forces


Warfield is a ranged warrior that excels at combat in maps with choke-points where players are likely to be grouped up in small areas. His arm, lost in battle, has been replaced with a Marauder class K12 "Punisher" Grenade Launcher - - the source of his trait. Warfield's basic attacks deal a small amount of percentage based damage to the primary target, causing this bonus damage to splash to other nearby enemies. Heroes that try to remain near their team's tank for safety will soon regret it. Alternatively allied heroes near Warfield benefit from a protective aura. A skilled tactician and battlefield commander, he is able to initiate fights with a ranged slow, or shut down engages by enemy heroes by deploying a barrier to block their movement.

Combat Trait

K12 "Punisher" Grenade Launcher
Your basic attacks against enemy heroes deal additional damage equal to 1% of the target's maximum health.

This bonus damage splashes to enemies around your primary target, damaging them as well.

Primary Abilities

Concussive Shell
(Skillshot) Launch a shell that explodes on the first enemy it hits, dealing damage and slowing enemies in the area by 20% for 3 seconds.

9 second cooldown.

Concussive Shell deals 100% bonus damage to shields on the initial target.

Fortification
Deploy a short range energy barrier that blocks enemy movement and abilities. Allies and their abilities may travel through the barrier. Lasts 4 seconds.

14 second cooldown.

Fortification behaves in the same manner as allied gates.

Armament
Activate to surround yourself with an aura that applies 10 Physical Armor to allied heroes inside of it every second while they remain inside the aura, up to 40. Basic attacks dealt to these allies by enemy heroes consume all stacks of this armor.

Lasts until canceled.

Heroic Abilities

Air Strike
Call in an Air Strike at the target location, causing a long line of bombs to be dropped after a short delay. Each bomb deals damage and slows enemies by 30% for 3 seconds. Global range. Vector targetting.

2 charges. 45 second cooldown.

Phalanx
Activate to summon 4 areas around you (one at each cardinal direction) that move with you for 8 seconds. Allied heroes can click on one of the areas to join the formation, causing them to move with Warfield in a fixed position in relation to him.

The attack range, movement speed, and attack speed of all heroes affected by Phalanx is increased by 8% for each hero that joins the formation.


60 second cooldown.

Talents

Level 1:
Shrapnel: Increase the area of splash damage from your K12 "Punisher" Grenade Launcher by 25%.
Quartermaster: Reduce the time it takes for Armament to apply a stack of Armor to 0.75 seconds.
Provision: Increase the maximum Armor stacks provided by Armament to 5.

Level 4:
Barrier: Increase the length of Fortification by 25%.
Breach: Allies that move through your Fortification gain 20% movement speed for 3 seconds.
Gaining Ground: Each enemy hero hit by the splash damage of your K12 "Punisher" Grenade Launcher increases the area of Armament by 2% for 10 seconds, up to 20%.

Level 7:
Sabot Shells: Increase the range of Concussive Shell by 35%, but its slow now scales based on the distance it traveled, from 10% against close range targets to 40% against targets at maximum range.
Bell-Ringer: Concussive Shell does an additional 100% damage to shields. If it destroys a shield on a target they are stunned for 1.25 seconds.
Hold The Line: The duration of Fortification is increased by 0.5 seconds when it blocks an ability, and it takes 50% less damage from abilities.

Level 10:
See above section.

Level 13:
Implode: Enemies hit by the explosion of Concussive Shell are pulled towards its center.
Fall Back: Allies that move through your Fortification are healed for 10% of their maximum health over 5 seconds. Each hero can only benefit from this effect once per Fortification.
Ordnance: Basic attacks by allies under the effect of Armament deal 5% increased damage for each stack of Armor they currently have.

Level 16:
"Castle" Rounds: (Quest) Basic attacks against enemy heroes cause your basic attacks to deal an additional 0.05% of their maximum health, up to an additional 1%.
(Reward) After 20 basic attacks your trait can be activated to double its effect for 8 seconds. 45 second cooldown.
Clusterbomb: Concussive Shell gains a charge.
Resilient Troops: Armament now applies 10 Spell Armor and 10 Physical Armor each time it provides a stack. These stacks are consumed independently by abilities and basic attacks respectively.

Level 20:
BFG: Basic attacks against enemy heroes increase your attack speed by a percentage equal to their missing health for 3 seconds.
Carpet Bombs: Each bomb dropped by an Air Strike increases in damage and area by 20%
Break Ranks: Allied heroes that were in the Phalanx formation when it ends carry the benefits with them for an additional 6 seconds.
Reinforcement: Every 30 seconds, gain a stack of Reinforcement. Activate to spend one stack of Reinforcement, reducing the rez timer of next allied hero to respawn by 5 seconds.

Hey, how'd you get those custom icons for your abilities? I've been trying to figure out a way to get them to work, but I've been having issues.

Also, I like the concept in general, though I think you should bump up the damage of his Trait to at least 2%, and increase the splash damage to 4% of the target's maximum health. If you attack a Valla early game, you'll be doing like 12 splash damage as it is now
