When using Crystallize efficiently, your able to cancel out a significant portion of enemy poke damage.
Unrelated to the Hero, but I know why your icons don't work. If you change their size then they become bugged or something. So the best way is to manually resize the pictures you want to use with something like Photoshop or GIMP.
