Juras (Ranged Support)

Protoss Mothership & Warp Prism

"Juras was the conceptual designer of the motherships that were launched to explore the galaxy in the Golden Age Of Expansion. While the motherships bore his design, the Templar Caste, against his objections, installed weapons systems on them, even converting some of the vessels to lead armadas. Juras was still allowed to keep his prototype ship, the Moratun, for exploration however.

Upon the Fall of Aiur, the protoss summoned the dormant motherships to Aiur with the message "we are lost", waking Juras. He was subject to the unpleasant feeling of waking up from stasis. During the journey, the Moratun warped to Samiku, a protoss colony, for a course correction and to pick up crew.

Juras observed out-of-control zerg overrunning the colony and killing zealots. Juras made contact with the zealots' commander, Martul. He was initially unwilling to kill the zerg, feeling it wasn't right to slay sentience, but he didn't want to allow the protoss to die, and the zerg had already been cut off from their "guiding intelligence" so Juras believed that killing them would be a blessing to the zerg."

Juras' Mothership, The Moratun, stays floating above his teams' shrine. Beneath the Moratun is a projected energy field. To enter the battle Juras pilots a much smaller Protoss craft: a Warp Prism. While piloting the Warp Prism Juras can root himself and project an energy field as well. With this in mind let's take a look at his trait.

Combat Trait

1
Recall
While inside an energy field allies cannot be interrupted while casting their hearth ability. Casting their hearth while under The Moratun teleports them to Juras' Warp Prism if he is currently projecting an energy field.

Allies can only benefit from the effects of Recall once every 30 seconds at either end.

Primary Abilities

1
Photon Overcharge
The Moratun's photon cannon passively charges up over 10 seconds. After reaching maximum charge the Moratun will fire on the last hero or structure Juras attacked.

Deals triple damage to structures. Global range. Must have vision of target to fire.

Secondary Abilities

1
Phase Mode
Activate to toggle in and out of Phase Mode. While in Phase Mode Juras is rooted and projects an energy field around him the size of his vision radius. Juras can still use basic attacks while in Phase Mode. 1 second transition time.

Juras' abilities have different functionality while he is in Phase Mode
2
Cloaking Field
Cloak the target allied hero for 2 seconds. 12 second cooldown.

Phase Mode: Changes Cloaking Field to allow it to have 2 charges on a 6 second recharge.

If Juras casts Cloaking Field on himself while in Phase mode he can move anywhere within his energy field without moving it. When the cloak expires the energy field centers around him once more.
3
Time Warp
Allies in the small target area move 20% faster and enemies are slowed by 20%. 12 second cooldown.

Phase Mode: Time Warp becomes a single target ability with 2 charges on a 6 second recharge. On allies: increases their movement and attack speed by 20% for 2 seconds. On enemies: Reduces their movement and attack speed by 20% for 2 seconds. This effect can stack.

Heroic Abilities

1
Vortex
Tear open a portal in the fabric of space, teleporting the target hero to their shrine. 2 second cast time. 90 second cooldown. Your allies have the option to deny this teleport if it is cast on them.
2
Chrono Boost
Summon The Moratun to fly overhead, causing allied heroes' cooldowns to regenerate 50% faster while they are within the shadow of the mothership. 80 second cooldown.

The Moratun's energy field remains in your team's shrine for the purposes of Recall.

Special Mount

1
Wormhole
After a 3 second cast time, teleport to the target location if you have vision of it. 45 second cooldown. JURAS CANNOT TRANSITION TO PHASE MODE FOR 10 SECONDS AFTER USING WORMHOLE (This is to deter backdooring while still allowing it to be possible for more organized teams).

Cosmetic: As Juras is casting Wormhole the Warp Prism appears to be "stretching" in the direction it is heading.

Important Note:

This hero was a pain in the *** to design.

Talents:

Level 1:
Singularity: Nearby health globes are drawn to Juras when he is in phase mode. Range increases based on how low Juras is on health and mana. In addition any enemy minion that dies within Juras' energy field has a chance to drop a health globe.
Volatile Field: Minions and Mercenaries inside of Juras' energy field take X damage per second.
Regenerative Field: Allies inside of Juras' energy field regenerate health 100% faster.
Safety Zone: After transitioning into phase mode Juras gains a shield equal to 5% of his max health every second for 5 seconds. This shield lasts until it is destroyed or Juras transitions out of phase mode.

Level 4:
It's Not Just A Phase!: Knockback and stun nearby enemy heroes for 2 seconds when transitioning in and out of phase mode.
Force Field: Enemies are stunned for 0.5 seconds when they cross the threshold of your energy field.
Photon Quick-Charge: Reduces the charge up time required before Photon Overcharge fires to 7 seconds.
Blur: Cloaked allies gain 5% movement speed per second as long as they remained cloaked.
Shield From View: Cloaking Field targets gain a shield equal to 5% of their health for each second they spent cloaked. This shield lasts 3 seconds.

Level 7:
Slow-ton Overcharge: Photon Overcharge slows enemy heroes for 60%, decaying over 2 seconds.
Photon Pacifier: Photon Overcharge disables structures for 5 seconds.
Warp, Speed: Moving through a Time Warp causes Juras to blink forward a short distance before beginning to benefit from the speed boost for 2 seconds.
Back To The Future: (D) Juras can activate Recall while within the area or under the effects of Time Warp to blink to the location he was in 3 seconds before. 12 second cooldown.
Time & Space: Reduce the cooldown of Wormhole by 15 seconds.

Level 10:
Vortex: Tear open a portal in the fabric of space, teleporting the target hero to their shrine. 2 second cast time. 90 second cooldown. Your allies have the option to deny this teleport if it is cast on them.
Chrono Boost: Summon The Moratun to fly overhead, causing allied heroes' cooldowns to regenerate 50% faster while they are within the shadow of the mothership. 80 second cooldown.

Level 13:
Emergency Recall: Immediately after transitioning into phase mode, reduce the casting time of allies hearth ability within your energy field by 2 seconds. After 1 second, this bonus decays at a rate of 1 per second.
Total Recall: Each allied hero that makes use of Recall reduces the casting time of Juras' next hearth by 0.5 seconds.
The Best Of Times: Increase the size of Time Warp's area of effect by 33% and the duration of its single target effect to 3 seconds.
Enshroud: Increase the cloak duration of Cloaking Field to 3 seconds.
Cloak Disruptor: Arriving at your destination from Wormhole grants vision and reveals cloaked units in a large area for 6 seconds

Level 16:
Psi Link: Juras receives health equal to 3% of the health regenerated in the shrine from an allied hero who has arrived there using Recall. If Juras is at full health he receives mana instead.
Clean Energy: Reduced the duration of the next stun or silence against you by 5% for each second you spend in phase mode. The effect is consumed after being stunned or silenced and is lost if you shift out of phase mode.
Disruptor: Enemy Structures that are within your energy field have their attack speed slowed by 100%. (Does not affect core).
Marksman-ship: Increases the damage of Photon Overcharge based on the distance it travelled, up to 300%.

Level 20:
All My Exes...: Enemy heroes sent back to their shrine by Vortex travel there at an increased speed of 150% instead of being instantly teleported there.
Chrono Bust: Enemies underneath The Moratun have the rate their cooldowns regenerate reduced by 25%.
Mother-Boy: Casting Cloaking Field on yourself causes The Moratun to fire Photon Overcharge.
Bolt Of The Storm: Activate to teleport to a nearby location.
