Kael'thas Rework

My Suggestions

Kael'thas is in a weird spot. In one hand, he has great damage and CC.
In other hand, the amount of Kaels who ruin the game is obnoxious.

(I'm talking about you, who picks Pyroblast against its counters or Convection)

The idea of this rework is to fix the problems Kael'thas has and change his gameplay.

Combat Trait

Verdant Spheres (D) (Reworked)

Cooldown: 0.5 seconds
Activate 1 Verdant Sphere and restore 1% of your maximum mana.
Your next Basic Ability is empowered and deactivates all active Verdant Spheres. Stores up to 3 charges. Can't be used while all 3 Verdant Spheres are activate. Deactivated Verdant Sphere has a 3-seconds cooldown.

Primary Abilities

Flamestrike (Q)

Mana increased from 70 to 100
Cooldown reduced from 7 to 5 seconds
Damage reduced from 345 to 300
Each Verdant Sphere increases the radius by 25%.

Living Bomb (W)

Mana increased from 50 to 60
Deals 42 damage each second over 3 seconds instead of 126 damage over 3 seconds.
Each Verdant Sphere reduces the cooldown by 3 seconds and the cost by 20.

Gravity Lapse (E)

Mana increased from 90 to 120
Cooldown reduced from 14 to 12 seconds
Range increased from 9.5 to 10
Stun duration reduced from 1 to 0.75 seconds
Each Verdant Sphere increases the maximum amount of targets by 1 and the duration of Stun by 0.25 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Phoenix (R1)

Mana increased from 80 to 100
Cooldown reduced from 60 to 50 seconds
Launch a Phoenix to an area, dealing 100 damage to enemies along the way.
The Phoenix persists for 5 seconds, attacking enemies for 100 damage and splashing for 50 damage.

Pyroblast (R2)

Mana increased from 80 to 120
Cooldown increased from 100 to 120 seconds
Damage reduced from 810/405 to 800/400
If the target takes no damage, reduce the cooldown of Pyroblast by 60 seconds.

LEVEL 1

Convection (New Functionality)
?Quest: Damaging an enemy Hero with Flamestrike increases its damage by 10, up to 200.

Nether Wind (Moved from Level 4)(New Functionality)
Increase the range of Gravity Lapse by 20%.
Gravity Lapse reduces the Spell Armor of enemies hit by 10 for 3 seconds.

Fel Infusion (New Functionality)
Each active Verdant Sphere grants Kael'thas 5% Spell Power.

Mana Addict (New Functionality)
?Quest: Gathering a Regeneration Globe permanently increases your maximum mana by 20.

LEVEL 4

Hot Streak (New)
Living Bomb heals Kael'thas for 50% of the damage done.

Energy Roil (New Functionality)
Each Verdant Sphere reduces the cost of Gravity Lapse by 2 seconds.
Hitting a Hero with Gravity Lapse heals Kael'thas for 2% of the Hero's maximum health.

Mana Tap (New Functionality)
Activating a Verdant Sphere restores 2% of your maximum mana and heals you for 100% of the mana restored.

Arcane Barrier (New)
Cooldown: 25 seconds
Active: Gain a Shield for 50% of your maximum mana for 5 seconds.

LEVEL 7

Fury of the Sunwell (Moved from Level 16)(New Functionality)
Casting Flamestrike with 3 active Verdant Spheres causes it to explode a second time 1.5 seconds later.

Fission Bomb (Moved from Level 13)(New Functionality)
Each Verdant Sphere increases the explosion radius of Living Bomb by 10%.

Gravity Suppression (New)
Gravity Lapse Slows enemies hit by 15% for 1 second after the Stun expires.
Each Verdant Sphere increases the duration of Slow by 0.5 seconds.

The Sunstrider (New)
Gain 5% Movement Speed for each active Verdant Sphere. Gain 5 Armor for each deactivated Verdant Sphere.

LEVEL 13

Ignite (Moved from Level 16)(New Functionality)
Casting Flamestrike with 3 active Verdant Spheres causes it to apply Living Bomb to the enemy Hero closest to its center who isn't currently affected by Living Bomb.

Pyromaniac (New Functionality)
Explosion of Living Bomb reduces the cooldown of deactivated Verdant Spheres by 0.5 seconds for each enemy Hero hit.

Sunfire Enchantment (Moved from Level 7)(New Functionality)
Activating a Verdant Sphere causes your next Basic Attack to instead deal 130 Spell Damage.

True Power (New)
Basic Attacks deal bonus damage equal to 5% of your maximum mana.
Each activate Verdant Sphere increases this bonus by 5%.

LEVEL 16

Burned Flesh (Moved from Level 7)(New Functionality)
Flamestrike damages Heroes for an additional 4% of their maximum health.
Each Verdant Sphere increases this bonus by 2%.

Sun King's Fury (Moved from Level 7)(New Functionality)
The explosion of Living Bomb Slows enemies hit by 25% for 2.5 seconds.
Living Bombs that spread to enemy Heroes deal 25% more damage.

Gravity Stomp
Gravity Lapse deals 200 damage to enemies hit.
Each Verdant Sphere increases this damage by 10%.

Twin Spheres (New Functionality)
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Active: Instantly activate all deactivated Verdant Spheres.

LEVEL 20

Rebirth (New Functionality)
When Phoenix expires for the first time, he explodes after 1 second instead, dealing 100 damage to nearby enemies, and can be ordered to move to a different location.
Explosion Radius: 5.75

Presence Of Mind (New Functionality)
Increase the explosion radius of Pyroblast by 25%.
Pyroblast deactivates active Verdant Spheres and reduces its cooldown by 20 seconds.

Flamethrower (New Functionality)
Increase the cast range of Flamestrike by 30%.
Each Verdant Sphere reduces the cooldown of Flamestrike by 1 second.

Master of Flames
Unchanged.
