Given, I kinda agree with you Gul'dan is more suitable how ever it is viable to have characters whom are both warlocks yet have different powers, take Rehgar/Thrall both are shamans yet are both completely different playstyles.

Except that Warlock is not a hybrid class that can be a melee fighter or healer like Shamans, Druids etc. can. Not saying that its not possible to make more than one Warlock-like hero, but I would say that it's going to be rather challenging to make them different enough from each other and other heroes in general. However, I'll bet for anything that if Blizzard is going to add another Warlock hero besides Gul'dan it is NOT going to be this guy with no great importance to the WoW universe or lore whatsoever. Heck, I'm a WoW lore nerd and even I didn't know about this guy until reading this concept. Archimonde, Kil'jaeden, any of the dreadlords would be so much better, and most of all cooler, options.

But we shall see so enough about that. This hero concept looks like a mess to me. What do I mean by that? Well, it just looks like you threw in some random warlock spells there with not any clear focus on his role. A damaging spell with a DoT and finally AoE effect, fireball shooting imp summoning and a teleportation spell as his primary abilities. He looks like a very weak Assassin hero that does ****ly squat amount of damage. With these abilities he would be useless compared to, well, ANY other Assassin in the game. The Trait also looks unimaginative. And a little too similar to Kael'thas' in my opinion. He would become somewhat useful only when he reaches level 10 and picks Chaos Bolt as his Heroic Ability. Which is basically Kael'thas' Pyroblast with a Fear effect on it. That's another problem I see in this concept; the Heroic Abilities look boring and very generic. Demon Form doesn't look very fun, exciting or interesting. I can't see anyone picking that over Chaos Bolt.

Here's my advice; decide the warlock's role and 'specialization' you want to focus on. Would he be a Destruction warlock who uses a lot of destructive fire spells with burst damage (although we got Kael'thas for that)? How about a curse focusing warlock who specializes in cursing the enemy heroes in different ways so that your teammates can kill them more easily? Or Demonology warlock who could summon one demon at a time with their own benefits, abilities and possibly buffs. A demon you choose at the very beginning of the game as your Trait (like how the upcoming Diablo Monk hero will choose his Mantra Trait at the start of a game as his first talent pick). So choose his role and make abilities that emphasizes that and makes it clear to the players that how he is supposed to be played. Don't try to make him as a Destro/Affli/Demo hybrid. Your warlock hero doesn't even need to be strictly a Destro-, Affli- or Demo-like warlock from WoW but whatever the case make sure that your hero has a clear role and playstyle. You getting what I mean? And make sure that the two Heroic Abilities are different from each other and has their own uses and purposes. Which you admittedly did manage to do while making up these two Heroics.

He's quite well known , especially to those of us who love the warlock class.

Who?

Seriously now; I think that Gul'dan would be much more suitable, liked and overall well known character to be added as the game's warlock hero. I had no idea who this guy was before I checked Wowpedia.
