The Gladiator

Kargath Bladefist was raised a slave by the ogres of Gorian Empire. He was imprisoned and held beneath Highmaul for many years. Striving for his own freedom, he became a gladiator fighting in the Highmaul arena. The price to earn his own freedom was to take one hundred orcish lives while fighting in the arena. Having won every battle against his opponents, Kargath marched out of Highmaul, only to discover the promise of freedom to be a lie. Kargath was thrown in a dungeon beneath the arena, and desperately severed his hand, which was bound by shackles, in frustration and rage. The other orc slaves, seeing his resolve, followed in his footsteps and did the same. They followed Kargath in his uprising against the ogres and helped him slay the emperor. Kargath showed the severed head of the emperor to his followers, and they raised their severed hands, armed with blades, cheering at him. This moment marked the birth of the Shattered Hand clan.

Combat Trait

Berserker Rush
(Active)
Cooldown: 30 seconds

Makes Kargath unstoppable for 3 seconds and increases the basic attack damage for 5 seconds by 10% for every hit taken, to all enemy heroes around you. Be aware that he can't get healed in this time period. (can be used when stunned)

The Bladefist
(Passiv)
Your left arm basic attacks causes 140 (+4% per level) damage and adds a stack of open wound on the target.
(Kargath only uses his left arm for basic attacks until he amputates his right arm)

Open Wound
(Passiv)
Every basic attack of The Bladefist gives the enemy 1 stack (max. 10 stacks) of Open Wound. Open Wound deals 25 (+20% bonus damage for every following basic attack) blood damage, which means it slowly decreases.

Cooldown: 7 seconds
20 rage

Quickly dashes behind an enemy and inflicts 200 damage.

Sweeping Strikes
Cooldown: 5 seconds.
30 rage

Your next 2 basic attacks deal 110 splash damage.

Impale
Cooldown: 20 seconds
75 rage

Skewers an enemy, inflicting 150 damage every 1 sec. for 3 sec. If the target survives, they get 5 stacks of open wound (62 dmg). Throws the skewered enemy into a direction by reactivating the ability. All enemies in the trajectory are getting stunned.

Heals 25% of your missing health. Can be used if you kill a hero.

Cooldown: 5 seconds

Switch between right and left arm basic attack and get 10 rage.

Tier 2 Talent
You get 1 gold for every hero kill, you need 2 coins for every mercenary.

Prosthesis: Hook
(Passiv)
Right Arm: Your right arm basic attack causes 120 (4+ level) damage and pulls enemies to you.

Chain Hurl
Cooldown: 60 seconds

Shoots the hook on a chain to an enemy and sling the enemy into a direction after 3 seconds. Causes 250 damage and a stuns of 2 seconds.

Prosthesis: Cannon
(Passiv)
Right Arm: Replaces it with a handgun and Kargath can now deal ranged basic attack damage. Causes 85 (+4% per level) splash damage in a cone.

Cannonball Barrage
Cooldown: 40 seconds

Blasts a barrage of bullets in the sky, that lands after 1 sec. on a big area for 5 seconds. Causes 110 (+4% per level) damage per second and slows enemies by 10%.

PROSTHESIS: Axe
(Passiv)
Right Arm: Replaces it with an axe. Your right arm basic attack causes 140 (+4% per level) damage and adds two stacks of open wound on the target.

Amputation
Cooldown: 30 seconds

Chops of a limp of an enemy hero (not visually). Causes 15% blood damage (of the enemy's health) for 5 seconds.

PROSTHESIS: Hammer
(Passiv)
Right Arm: Replaces your hand with a hammer. Your right arm basic attack causes 130 damage and pushes enemies away and decreaces the movement speed by 30% for 1 second. Your attack speed also decreases by 40%, when using the right arm.

Wrath Quake
Cooldown: 25 seconds

Pulls or pushes enemies in a cone away or to you.

PROSTHESIS: Shield
(Passiv)
Right Arm: Replaces your hand with a shield. Your basic attack resistance gets increased by 25%.

Shield Block
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Builds up a 20% shield of your maximum health. You can't attack while holding it up.

(Passive) Promise of Freedom

Quest: Kill 100 enemy minions.
Reward: Gives you the secondary ability VICTORY RUSH.

(Passiv) Endure Unimaginable Pain

Quest: Take 25.000 damage without getting killed.
Reward: Makes you unstoppable for 3 seconds after killing an enemy hero.

(Passiv) Just a flesh wound

Quest: Set Open wound up to 10 stacks on every enemy.
Reward: The increasement of a Open wound stack get elevated by 10%.

Tier 2/Level 4




(Active) Brawler's Gold


You get 1 gold for every hero kill, you need 2 coins for 1 mercenary in a camp.


(Q)Bloody Escape


You can reactivate Blade Dance for 30 rage in a time period of 3 seconds. Sets you back to your first casting point and deals all enemies in between 25(+4% damage per level).


(Q)Sword Parade


Blade Dance gets 2 stacks, but the cooldown get increased by 3 seconds.

Tier 3/Level 7




(Passiv)Jungle Stalker


Standing in the bushes grands a 4 sec. 20% movement speedboost and 15% attack speedboost.


(W)Bloody Blade


Quest: Hit 3 heroes 10 times simultaneously with Sweeping Strikes.
Reward: Sweeping Strike holds up for 5 basic attacks. Additionally the radius gets slightly increased.

Last Man Standing



Increases all stats by 5% for every dead ally hero. (Resets, if hero respawns)
Quest: 9 heroes must die, resets if you die.
Reward: Your stats get increased by 30%. Activates, if 4 allied heroes are dead at the exact time. (only in this time period)


Experienced Handling of Weapons


Reward: Switch Weapon
Quest: Deal 20 basic attacks with every hand
Reward: You basic attack range gets increased by 25%

Choose a Prosthesis to replace The Bladefist. Replaces Impale with the prothesis ability.


Chainwhirl



The hook can hurl a maximum of 5 enemies in a small radius.

My thoughts/Explanation

Basic Attack


Kargath only uses his left arm, The Bladefist, to deal basic attack damage till Level 10. Then he alternates with which hand he strikes. So every second hit is the right arm/ulti fist. It can only be completely controlled if you choose the Switch Weapon ability.

I'm liking the design for him, seems like a sensible multi class hero, one thing that i think should be changed is his trait. The bladefist part of it is great, but I think Berserker Rush is a bit too much like a watered down version of Zul's trait to really be fitting for a second trait. I would turn it into a talent, maybe level 13, and move the switch weapon ability to the trait key. Also quick level 7 talent, throw distance for impale is shortened (or not, depends on original throw distance), but if hits something is stunned for 1.5 seconds.

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas, i will appreciate it and put it into the concept. I had the idea of a level 20 talent, which let you replace The Bladefist with another prosthesis. The problem is here, i can't add a talents for Impale, because with this 20 talent, you would lose the ability and the associated talent. I have to make Impale really powerfull and on the other side fair balanced from the start on. I only have one tier to set a talent for Impale which is a bit rough, but possible, so it's not a trash ability.

And about the Berserker Rush ability..
I had the idea of making a gladiator like hero: Deadly to the and always walking around half dead (which fits cause he mutilates himself), just like Zul'jin, i know.
