Lady Vashj (complete concept)

Witch of the Naga

Once in life the right hand of Queen Azshara and loyal leader of Illidans forces, Lady Vashj recently became a manifested thought within the eternal memory of the Nexus.

She is considered to play a supportive/CC role with manadrain/-support and mediocre damage output. As somebody who's more into archer than wizard classes, I would like to focus on her auto attacks (AA) rather than her abilities in her talent tree. There will be given quite some styles to her AA, varying in more speed, more damage/positioning.

Stats

HP: 835 + 150/lvl
L/s: 1.74 + 0.31/lvl
AR: 1.11/s
DMG: 36/hit + 6/lvl
Mana/Mana reg.: standard

Pros:

- Much CC
- Mana support
- Mana drain
- High burst potential for a supporter
- Quite some multitarget abilities/potential
- Many possible specializations

Cons:

- Squishy against CC and Assassins > rather defensive playstyle and low kill potential
- AoE can be left to avoid effects > rather zoning than CC tools in PVP
- Low healing potential > relies on CC and Mana Shield to prevent damage for her team

Combat Trait

Frozen Arrow
Lady Vashj wields Frostfathom, an enchanted bow wrathing targets in bonechilling cold. Targets' movement is slowed by 5% for 1 second each hit, stacking up to 5 times. Consequent hits reset the timer.

Primary Abilities

Forked Lightning
Lightning with medium range hits up to 5 randomly chosen targets damaging them for 90 points (+18 per level). Consumes 65 mana, cooldown: 8 seconds.

Mana Shield
Needs to be channeled: Your own mana pool soaks up every damage dealt to the target but suffers for 40% (-1% per lvl) of the damage absorbed. Can be channeled for up to 8 seconds or until your mana runs out. You can move with 75% movement speed while channelling. Cooldown: 20s.

Tornado
Aimed AoE-spell with a medium radius slowing enemy and friendly units within and damaging enemies over time for 30 dmg/sec + 9 per level. 40% slow in movement and attack speed, does not stack with other slowing effects. Casting time 1 second, lasts for 4 seconds. Costs 70 mana, cooldown: 16 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Vampiric Snakes
Centered AoE, large rage (just like ults of Malfurion or Kerrigan). Vashj's living hair drains 8% of the maximal mana from enemy heroes per second and feeds friendly heroes with the same rate. AOE lasts 5 seconds. Costs 110 mana, cooldown 80 seconds.

Petrifying Gaze
Wide cone with low range; turns enemies within into stone for 3 seconds, disabling their attacks, abilities and movement. Affected enemies get shielded by 50% of their maximum health. Can be cleansed. Costs 90 mana, cooldown: 80 seconds.

Special Mount

Walk of the Snake
Dive forwards in a slightly sidestepping manoeuvre. Large range but blocked by structures. Cooldown: 40 seconds.

Talents

Level 1

Vampiric Bow: Each auto attack restores 5 mana for Vashj and allied heroes nearby.

Hungering Bow: Each auto attack restores 10 health + 2.5/lvl for Vashj and allied heroes nearby.

Aftershivering: Increases the duration of your trait's movement slow by 1 second.

Mana Addiction: Increase your maximum mana by 15 when you pick up a Regneration Globe.

 
Level 4

Wrath of Winter: Your auto attacks inflict damage over time (24 + 4/lvl over 3 seconds).

Sharped Arrows: Activate to increase the damage of your basic attacks by 40% for 4 seconds. Consumes 10 mana per hit, Cooldown: 20 seconds.

Frost Beam: The channelling beam of Mana Shield damages enemies hit for 16 damage + 3/lvl and slows their movement by 20% for 1 second. Damage and slow can trigger once every second.

Healing Ward: Activate to place a ward on the ground that heals allies in an area for 1.95% of their maximum health every second for 10 seconds.


Level 7

Paralysing Energy: Forked Lightning now stuns enemies hit for 0.5 seconds.

Splintering Arrow: Your basic attacks hit up to 3 targets (inflicting all side-effects). Target will receive 100% damage, other enemies 20% (substrated after the effect of Sharped Arrows).

Penetrating Arrow: Your basic attacks hit up to 3 enemies in a line (inflicting all side-effects). First enemy hit receives 100% of their basic damage, decreasing by 40% on each following, down to 20% on the last hit (calculated after the effect of Sharped Arrows).

Battle Momentum: Auto attacks reduce the cooldown of your basic abilities by 0.5.


Level 13

Raging Frostfathom: Activate to increase your attack speed by 60% for 4 seconds. Cooldown: 20s.

Dark Ritual: Activate to get a bonus of 50% to your maximum mana lasting 5 seconds.

Hardened Scales: Lady Vashj permanently takes 20% less damage from melee auto attacks.

Spell Shield: Upon taking ability damage, reduces that damage by 50%. Lasts 3 seconds, can only trigger every 30 seconds.

Mana Beam:
Every enemy hit by the channelling beam of Mana Shield restores 5% of your maximum mana.


Level 16

Icy cloak: When Mana Shield ends, it freezes enemies nearby (melee range) for 1.5 seconds, making them unable to move or teleport.

Brilliant Aura: Friendly heroes within 7m around you will get 1% of your maximal mana regenerated per second. Furthermore, it cuts cooldowns on their basic attacks by 0.001*your maximal mana every 2 seconds.

Mirror Scales: Reflects permanently 10% damage of incoming ranged basic attacks.

Manaexplosion: Target loses one third of his current mana damaging him for three times the absolute amount (example: 600 mana - 200 mana lost, 600 dmg taken). Cooldown: 40s.

Muting Storm: Tornado disables all abilities of enemy and friendly heroes within its AoE.


Level 20

Vampiric Snakes: Now slows movement speed of enemies within range by 20% and drains additionally 2 % of opponent's maximum health healing friendly units for the same amount. Does not stack with other AoE slowing effects.

Petrifying Gaze: Eliminates shield, but decreases duration of the effect by 1 second.

Storm Shield: Activate to give all nearby allied heroes a shield for 20% of their maximum health for 3 seconds.

Nexus Frenzy: Increases attack speed and attack range for 20% each.

Manastorm: After the effect of Manashield ends, you are surrounded by a manastorm that soaks up all incoming damage for 2s. Does not affect allies nearby.

- Substituted the ability Ice Armor for Mana Shield to get closer to the original Lady Vashj from WC3. Added some new talents referring to it.

- Simplified both AA-specifying talents at Lvl 7.

Feel free to post ideas making her suitable to your favored playstyle but not OP. Concept is still lacking in talents. But: I do not think she should get movement buffs or teleport. She still has her "mount" and with all her CC she should not feel the need of buffing her mobility any further. Not even should she rely on her "mount"; trough her sidestepping during the animation the chance of being blocked by structures should be rather high.

Let me know wether you think she would be OP or not. I would maybe deal with the numbers, just like Blizzard does all the time;oD
