Lord Godfrey

Renegade Noble

A Ranged Assassin able to hunt down far off Heroes.

Lord Vincent Godfrey is a nobleman from Gilneas who opposed his king, Genn Greymane, after discovering that Genn and many of his people had been afflicted with the worgen curse. After committing suicide rather than acknowledge a worgen as his lord, Godfrey's body was recovered and reanimated by the Forsaken, but after turning on them as well, he fled into the abandoned ruins of Shadowfang Keep, where he and his followers remain.

Tips:
-Ghoul Pack provides plenty of utility. The Ghouls can deal a good damage and provide you with a strong Movement Speed bonus, but they are easily dispatched.
-Pistol Barrage has the dual purpose of area damage and finishing off enemies. Open fights with it to have Ghouls damaging multiple Heroes, then finish them by killing your Ghouls around them.
-Gut is better to set up single target damage and chase an enemy. Each tick of its damage will summon a Ghoul, so wait for it to finish then set them off with Pistol Barrage.
-Parting Shot is a good tool to put space between you and the enemy. The Ghouls spawned this way can take skillshots for you as well for additional survivability.
-Bloodthirsty Pack puts a greater emphasis on your Ghouls. It can summon a pack large enough to provide a full Movement Speed bonus while also boosting their damage.
-Shadow Shot is more of a utility ability at first. Use it when you need to focus one enemy harder or slow down a split-pushing Hero.

Strengths:
+Good Sustained Damage/Burst Potential
+Engage/Disengage Options
+Capable of Chasing Enemies
+Flexible Heroics

Weaknesses:
-Low Health
-Few Escapes
-Ghouls easily dealt with

(As promised, an updated Godfrey concept. For the full changes, check the changelog after the Level 20 Talents.)

Combat Trait

1
Ghoul Pack
Whenever you hit an enemy Hero or Mercenary with an Ability, summon a Ghoul to attack that enemy for 10 seconds. Ghouls have 250 (+4%) Health and deal 60 (+4%) damage per second. If their target dies, they target the nearest enemy (prioritizing Heroes) in sight. Godfrey gains 5% Movement Speed while moving towards a Hero per Ghoul targeting that Hero, up to 30%.

Primary Abilities

1
Pistol Barrage
Mana Cost: 60
Cooldown: 8 seconds

Fire in a cone in front of you, dealing 180 (+4%) damage to enemies hit. Ghouls hit are instantly killed and deal an additional 80 (+4%) damage to nearby enemies.
2
Gut
Mana Cost: 40
Cooldown: 12 seconds

Lunge and stab an enemy, dealing 40 (+4%) damage and an additional 200 (+4%) damage over 5 seconds. Enemies affected receive 50% less healing during its duration.
3
Parting Shot
Mana Cost: 75
Cooldown: 15 seconds

Jump backwards while firing in a line in front of you, dealing 180 (+4%) damage to enemies hit and knocking them back.

Heroic Abilities

1
Bloodthirsty Pack
Mana Cost: 100
Cooldown: 90 seconds

Call a horde of Ghouls to hold an enemy down, summoning 6 Ghouls around them to attack and root them for 1.5 seconds. The Ghouls rise and target that enemy after the root ends.

Passive: Ghouls deal 30% more damage.
2
Shadow Shot
Mana Cost: 80
Cooldown: 80 seconds

Fire a cursed bullet at a Hero from anywhere, dealing 500 (+4%) damage over 5 seconds. Enemy Heroes hit by your Abilities during its duration will summon a Ghoul at the cursed Hero's location instead.

Level 20 Talents

Vicious Hunger (R): Ghouls heal Godfrey for 50% of the damage they deal and their attacks reduce the cooldown of Bloodthirsty Pack by .5 seconds.

Nowhere to Run (R): For 3 seconds after casting Shadow Shot, reactivate it to teleport to the target, dealing the rest of its damage instantly and summoning 3 additional Ghouls targeting them.

Hunting Pack (Active): Activate to summoning 3 Ghouls targeting a Hero or Mercenary. Basic Attacks against Heroes reduce this cooldown by 1 second. 60 second cooldown.

Master Hunter (Passive): Increase your Attack Speed by 25%. Every 3rd consecutive Basic Attack against an enemy Hero summons a Ghoul targeting them. Resets when another enemy is attacked.

Pretty good concept. But first ultimate too same with Arthas'. You should To replace this, for example, with the amplification of the ghouls that are already available

Great concept! I like the theme of a damage-dealing ranged summoner, and the aesthetic of the newer Shadowfang Keep bosses is great (any plans to cover Lord Walden or Baron Ashbury?). The only problem I have is that the Ghoul damage seems way too high. 120 a second is more than Artanis at level one, and with Bloodthirsty Pack summoning 6 Ghouls dealing a total of 720 damage a second (not counting the passive damage increase that Bloodthirsty Pack gives), that could melt an average support in 2 seconds without Godfrey needing to do anything himself. Also, since you didn't specify, I think it's also important for the Ghouls to have a time limit, maybe dying after 10 seconds. For comparison, Anub'arak's beetles only deal 20 damage, so Ghoul damage should be somewhere around there.

Thanks for the feedback! The idea of the Ghouls was for them to still deal noticeable damage, probably more akin to Mirror Image and the like. I'll definitely dial that back and think about a duration. Part of why there wasn't a duration was because they have less health than other summons too, but I can see it being a problem if they're a lot more damaging.
Other than that, I haven't actually looked at the other bosses, but I'll have to do some research for sure! Thanks again!
