Maiev Shadowsong

The First Warden

A stealthy Melee Bruiser specializing in disabling mobile Assassins.

For 10,000 years, Maiev was the jailor of Illidan Stormrage. Since his escape, she has sought to recapture him endlessly, leading her into the Nexus to find him.

Tips:
-Stalk allows Maiev to initiate or escape fairly well. Start a fight with its greater ranged Abilities or save it to flee with its Unrevealability.
-Shadow Strike is Maiev's most damaging Basic Ability and helps her initiation and ability to stick. Hit Heroes with either longer cooldown Abilities or Ability reliant Heroes.
-Fan of Knives is an easy way to hurt and slow enemies around. The Attack Speed slow helps to mitigate damage from physical attackers.
-Grapple is a strong peeling or chasing tool. Whether you save an ally or stop an enemy, be sure to choose carefully and aim or else waste a long cooldown.
-Warden's Clutch makes for an excellent piece of crowd control. Combo with more CC or damage with allies to take down enemies with ease.
-Warden's Hunt can shut down an enemy for most of a team fight. Maiev can stick to enemies easily with it and the target is mostly doomed.

Strengths:
+Strong initiation
+Good peel
+Built-in tools for AA Assassins
+Mobile

Weaknesses:
-Low damage
-Low protection from Spell damage
-Weak early game

I'm really into the idea of a stealth-based tank, but I think that it should work more fluidly into the design. Right now, the stealth just feels like an add on to a very disable-based tank. Maybe instead of an activatable ability, make it a passive that triggers after using certain abilities. In all, a very unique design, and one that I think fits the character in a very interesting way.

Thanks for the suggestion! That definitely sounds good, I'm just not sure how to implement it. The activatable version was the easiest to make for me and I thought it worked best for either initiating or escaping with it. I like the idea of Stealth brought on by using other abilites, but I think the kit and some talents would need to be completely redone to make it happen.
