McCree

Bounty Hunter

Jesse McCree. Formerly an infamous outlaw, then member of Overwatch's covert ops division, Blackwatch. Learning the errors of his old criminal ways McCree started to make amends for his past sins by righting the injustice of the world. However, after Overwatch's fall he disappeared. He started to work as a lone gunslinging mercenary who can be hired by anyone as long as he believes their cause is just. One day McCree found himself in the Nexus and gladly joins the battle against notorious villains in the Nexus.

Combat Trait

1
(D) Peacekeeper
McCree uses his trustful revolver "Peacekeeper" in combat with 6 bullets in the chamber. He uses one bullet per auto-attack. McCree reloads his gun automatically when the chamber is empty or when the player presses D. The more bullets McCree has to reload to Peacekeeper the longer the reloading time.

1 bullet - 0.5 seconds
2 bullets - 1 second
3 bullets - 1.5 seconds
4 bullets - 2 seconds
5 bullets - 2.5 seconds
6 bullets - 3 seconds

Primary Abilities

1
Burst Fire
Cost: 10-60 mana (depending on the amount of bullets fired)
Cooldown: 10 seconds

McCree aims at the targeted enemy and fires all the bullets in Peacekeeper's chamber at his target. This is a channeling ability lasting 1-3 seconds depending on the amount of bullets in the chamber.

6 bullets - 145 (+22.5/level)  damage
5 bullets - 125 (+20/level)  damage
4 bullets - 105 (+17.5/level)  damage

1 bullet - 55 (+10/level) damage
2
(W) Combat Roll

McCree dives in the direction he's moving, effortlessly reloading his Peacekeeper in the process instantly.
3
(E) Flashbang
Cost: 50 mana
Cooldown: 10 seconds

McCree throws a blinding grenade that explodes once hits the targeted location. The blast blinds all the nearby enemies hit by the blast making them miss all their auto-attacks for 1.5 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

1
(R1) Deadeye
Cost: 30-120 mana (depending on the amount of bullets fired)
Cooldown: 50 seconds

McCree will fire all the remaining bullets in Peacekeeper's chamber to the enemies' most vital spots after 5 second delay. During that delay you can choose your targets McCree will shoot at starting from the first enemy you clicked on dealing 10% of their maximum health amount of damage per bullet. You can click the same target multiple times. You can choose 1-6 targets depending on the number of remaining bullets in Peacekeeper.

Level 20 talent bonus: McCree's attack speed is increased by 30% for 8 seconds after he has fired all the shots.
2
(R2) Bounty Hunter
Cooldown: 60 seconds

Set up a bounty on an enemy hero of your choice. If the enemy hero is killed by McCree or his allies the hero will grand double the normal experience points earned from the kill. The Bounty Hunter effect lasts on the enemy hero until either the hero or McCree dies. McCree will also gain more attack power from each bounty killed until he dies. The cooldown restarts once one of the two dies.

Level 20 talent bonus: McCree's damage done to the enemy hero with the bounty is increased by 15%.

Jesse MacCree as an Assassin

McCree is a heavy hitting ranged Assassin who relies on his auto-attacks done by his colt revolver, Peacekeeper. Out of all ranged Assassin heroes McCree would cause the biggest ranged auto-attack damage. Imagine if Thrall was ranged instead of melee.

His auto-attacks combined with his Q (Burst Fire) and first heroic option (Deadeye) can be very deadly and finish off any unprepared squishy hero fast. However, the drawback is that he can't auto-attack constantly like all the other heroes can. McCree is all about managing the bullets of his Peacekeeper that works as his trait. A good McCree player would reload the gun regularly only a few bullets at a time instead of emptying all six bullets from the chamber getting a rather long reload time before he can start attacking again. You want to use all six bullets in team fights or while ganking to burst down enemy heroes and then run back to safety to reload. However, he got his own abilities to avoid damage and reload instantly as well as his own blinding grenades similar to Tychus' except that they blind enemies instead of damaging then.

Because of his reliance on auto-attack damage only McCree is very weak against blinds so heroes such as Li Li, Artanis and Johanna would be heavy counters against him. McCree however is very strong against squishy heroes such as Jaina, Kael'thas and Nova and other auto-attack relying heroes such as Thrall, Illidan and Raynor. His Deadeye heroic is very strong against tanky Warriors and Bounty Hunter makes not only McCree stronger but also helps his team to get more experience points getting ahead of the enemy team in levels.

This hero concept is pretty much finished but I would still love to hear your opinions, thoughts, criticism and ideas how to McCree as good and unique hero to Heroes of the Storm! Also if you got good links for ability icons I could use here please do let me know. I don't want to use the WoW in-game icons in this one.

I really like the concept, it's an interesting way to bring ammunition into Heroes of the storm and it seems well implemented. However, I think you underestimate how serious a few second's downtime is in the game. 5 seconds to channel Deadeye is fine in Overwatch because you can cancel it early and fire before the time's up, but without a way to activate it before, it seems like an even worse pyroblast. Honestly I think Deadeye would work better as a huge frontal cone (similar to unleash the boars.) as you move at 50% speed, maybe aiming like diablo's lightning breath if you want to stay still, and firing one bullet at each enemy hero that dealt, say 20% of their max health, then reduce the channel time to 2 seconds.

Also, I'm just imagining him having a start conversation with tychus

McCree: Damn son, says here you've got a bounty on your head bigger than my gun

Tychus: I got a lot of things bigger'n your gun.

Alright! I have updated the hero concept with the Statistics and added some numbers to the abilities as well and made some slight changes to some of them after I noticed they needed some tweaking. Speaking about abilities, I have also added Overwatch ability icons to the hero concept as well. I just hope I am not the only one seeing them.

[Edit]: The heroics' level 20 talent options have been added.
