Medivh Soft Rework (2025)

My Suggestions

Medivh is one of the hardest characters in the game. Due to how much knowledge and skill he requires, his effectiveness varies greatly between players, resulting in weak performance and low popularity at most ranks.

The goal of this rework is to simply lower the extremely high skill floor the Last Guardian has.

Stats
Health increased from 1470 to 1488
Health Regen increased from 3.0625 to 3.1
Health and Health Regen scaling decreased from 4.49% to 4%
Attack Damage increased from 80 to 90

Now also increases Mana and Health Regeneration by 50%

Primary Abilities

Arcane Rift (Reworked Q)

Mana: 50
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Launch a rift that deals 150 damage to enemies in its path. If an enemy Hero is hit, reduce its cooldown by 3 seconds and refund its Mana cost.

❢Quest: Refund Mana with Arcane Rift 50 times.
❢Reward: Permanently reduce its cooldown by 1 second.

Cooldown reduced from 7 to 5 seconds
Damage decreased from 170 to 150

LEVEL 1

Arcane Charge (Moved from Level 16)(Reworked)
❢Quest: Refunding Mana with Arcane Rift permanently increases its damage by 1%, up to 50%.

Portal Mastery
Mana reduced from 65 to 60.
Raven Form bonus removed.

Winds of Celerity (Reworked)
The first time an ally uses a Portal, they gain 30% Movement Speed for 3 seconds.
Passive: Increase Raven Form's Movement Speed bonus to 30%.

LEVEL 4

Arcane Brilliance (Moved from Level 20)(Reworked)
When Arcane Rift refunds Mana, Medivh restores 25 Mana to other nearby allied Heroes.
Radius: 10

Mage Armor
Armor changed from 40 for 5 seconds to 30 for 6 seconds.

Dust of Appearance
Cooldown reduced from 45 to 25 seconds.
Reveal duration decreased from 8 to 5 seconds.

LEVEL 7

Mystic Assault (Reworked)
Each enemy Hero hit by Arcane Rift increases the damage of Medivh's next Basic Attack by 50%, up to 200%.
Passive: Gain 1 Attack Range.

Arcane Explosion
Base damage decreased from 80 to 60.
Radius decreased from 3.5 to 3.

Force of Magic (Reworked)
Preventing at least 268 damage with a single cast of Force of Will grants 50% Spell Power for 15 seconds.

LEVEL 13

Circle of Protection
Cooldown increase reduced from 2 to 1 second.

Enduring Will
Unchanged.

Reabsorption
Bonus increased from 70% to 75%.

LEVEL 16

Guardian of Tirisfal
Moved from Level 20.

Raven Familiar (Moved from Level 4)
Damage increased from 114 to 120.
Slow duration increased from 2.5 to 3 seconds.

Stable Portal
Unchanged.

LEVEL 20

Glyph of Poly Bomb
Unchanged.

Medivh Cheats!

Temporal Flux
Moved from Level 16.

Increase Portal range by 50% and the size and vision radius of its locations by 100%.

If you want to make Medivh balancable just remove (or redesign) Portal from his basic abilities. The ability is completly gamebreaking by itself, but it also has the awful interaction with Raven Form enabling Medivh to not only scout but also dismount in places like middle of enemy base.
