Mercy

Overwatch Field Medic

This is my attempt to make a decent Mercy concept. I knew that doing so would be a challenge from the outset due to Mercy's healing beam functioning similarly to Morale's beam, and is probably the reason why this is the first Mercy concept on here (this actually surprises me). I decided to make Mercy more unique by making her need to switch between being able to heal or buff attack power, she is never able to do both on the fly.

I also decided to give her decent mobility options since, after all, she's got those wings! Without a mount, Mercy would be able to zip around at a speed similar to Lunara's (while having a low health pool equivalent to Tracer).

Her heroic, resurrection, is a tricky ability to balance in a MOBA environment without seeming overpowered, but I hope that I did a decent job in doing so here. Like Tracer, she starts with her heroic and has to charge it to use it. Every round from her Caduceus Blaster that hits an enemy target fills her ultimate meter by 1.5 points.

Combat Trait

1
Staff Mode
Alternates between the two modes of the Caduceus Staff, Offensive Mode and Support Mode. Cooldown of all basic abilities are decreased by 1 second when switching.

Cooldown: 6 Seconds (begins after switching staff mode)

Primary Abilities

1
Caduceus Staff
Channels power of the Caduceus Staff, empowering target ally depending on which mode the staff is in. In Offensive Mode, target's basic attacks inflict an additional 15% damage and their attack speed is increased by 15%. in Support Mode, target is healed for 145 (+4% per level) per second.

Mana: 12 Per Second
Cooldown: N/A
2
Angelic Descent
Target ally (or self) to buff them, granting them invulnerability from knockbacks and slow effects for 2 seconds and healing them for 123 (+4% per level) health over 2.5 seconds.

Mana: 30 Per Second
Cooldown: 8 seconds
3
Guardian Angel
Mercy quickly flies to an ally. During this period, she is invulnerable. Long range ability (roughly up to one lane away).

Mana: 30 Per Second
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Secondary Abilities

1
Basic Attack
Mercy unleashes several rounds from her Caduceus Blaster. Can fire up to 5 rounds before she reloads (which requires 1 second).  Each round inflicts 19 damage. Each round Mercy fires, upon hitting a target, fills her ultimate meter by 1.5 points.

Note: All five rounds should/would be expected to hit unless the enemy pops a shield (or similar effect) or moves out of range, as her fire rate would be similar to Tracer. Also, like Tracer, Mercy would be able to fire her Caduceus Blaster while moving.

Heroic Abilities

1
Resurrect
Like Tracer, Mercy starts the game with her heroic ability. Resurrects target dead ally by selecting their death timer portrait. Can only be used within 5 seconds of target ally's death. Resurrected ally returns with 75% of their maximum health and do not passively regenerate health or mana for 2.5 seconds. Does not use mana, but requires full ultimate meter.

Ultimate Meter Points: 100 (Maximum)
Cooldown: 100 seconds

Special Mount

1
Valkyrie Suit Swiftness
Mercy cannot mount, but runs 20% faster than normal (similarly to Lunara).

I have to say, I really like your version of Mercy. Her ult seems very nice, and I love how her abilities have been ported so perfectly from OW. I'm no numbers expert, but she seems balanced. Good job!

Only comment on this is her basic attack, it is so low that she would probably be better off never attacking. 7 is just a bit low, definitely needs to be raised.

Yeah, perhaps she should have it raised to 60 or so. But still, it is her only way to generate charge for Resurrect. Perhaps the author felt as though Mercy's ult was so powerful that the source of it should be very weak. In either case, 7 damage is ridiculously low (maybe not, depending how fast it fires, but I'm assuming an average attack rate), and does need to be upped.

That's a fair point, though do note that she fires five times. I'll increase it by a bit though, since the raw number is basically 1/5 of what her actual damage would be if all five shots land (which they should/would barring the enemy pops a shield or something).
