I attempted to cover unexplored design space, fill the zerg support role and bring a (hopefully) fun and engaging new support design.
Optimally Niadra has a considerable amount of both playmaking and draft potential aswell as counterplay for the opposing team. Examples include:
- Her parasites and thus biomass collection and damage output becomes less useful against double support and self-healing heroes.
- Killing her prevents snowballing with bonus talents and punished bad Niadra play/rewards opposing ganks.
- Niadra herself is an adaptable soft to hardcounter depending on the enemy teamcomp and her own talent progression.
- There are no powerful singletarget saves, thus she is very impaired against focusfire and dive setups.
- Niadra excels in a poke environment paired, potentially with another support to benefit from her ultimate.
- She also synergizes with a hero like Zeratul, as her infestation allows him to stay cloaked against scouting drones, oracle and similiar reveal mechanics aswell as give him vision of kill targets with larva parasites.
She has no creep related abilities or talents as she operates without creep in StarCraft which is ideal as to not tread into Zagara's kit.
Numbers can make or break a hero on their own so numbers are mostly non-existent here. Numbers that I used are mainly there to showcase the direction of the ability/spell or give a better feel for it so most will simply be X
She is especially powerful against shields because of the still lacking proper shieldcounter and her existance being based around eradicating Protoss. A race utilizing shields for everything.
