Orisa

Guardian robot

Orisa is a newly-created robot with both a heart and personality. Urged to become a hero by her creator, Efi Oladele, Orisa strives to right wrongs and act as the hero the world needs. While her relative inexperience can make her an occasional liability, Efi's optimism and willingness to make modifications to Orisa's adaptive artificial intelligence have always been able to set things right. While Orisa has much to learn about the world and its functionality, Orisa stands ready to protect both Efi and Numbani with her growing sense of honor and duty.

-Low base damage
-No access to mounts which is punishing in large battlegrounds such as Alterac pass
-Quite Mana dependant

Combat Trait

fusion driver
Basic attacking the same target for 3 seconds increases the basic attack damage against them by 10% and you will have 1 increased attack speed against them. lasts until you stop attacking the target.

Primary Abilities

Halt
Launch a magnetic surge at the target direction. When detonated by hitting terrain or by reactivating the ability, it drags enemy heroes to it and slows them by 20% for 1.5 seconds.

Cooldown: 14 seconds
Mana: 30

*If the surge expires by getting out of the maximum range before getting detonated, it won't do anything.

Fortify
Activate to gain 30 Armor and become Unstoppable. Lasts 3 seconds.

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Mana: 40

*The slow gained from basic attacks are unaffected.

Protective barrier
Throw a barrier at the target location which blocks the incoming projectiles. the barrier lasts 12 seconds or until it is destroyed.

Barrier health: 800
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Heroic Abilities

Supercharger
Place a supercharger device at your location. While active, the device amplifies nearby allies' attack damage and Spell power by 50%. enemies can attack and destroy the supercharger. lasts 8 seconds.

Supercharger health: 20 instants of hit
Cooldown: 70 seconds

STOP
Become immobile and prevent all nearby enemies from moving or using mobility abilities (such as teleport) upon casting the ability. Nearby allies gain 30% additional movement speed as long as they are in the radius. If affected enemies deal the maximum damage to you, they will lose 50% of their current health. Lasts 3 seconds. Reactivate the ability to exit STOP early.

Cooldown: 40 seconds

Special Mount

Orisa naturally moves 10% faster than other heroes. You can even move while basic attacking. but while basic attacking, your movement speed is reduced by 30%.

Talents level 1:

Blinding gravity (Q):
Enemies pulled by Halt are blinded for 1.25 seconds.

Extra safety services (E):
Protective barrier prevents enemy heroes from passing by.
Quest: Stop right there! (Q):
Pull 20 enemies with Halt to empower it.
Reward: After pulling 20 enemies with Halt, increase its radius and range by 20%.
Reward: After pulling 30 enemies with Halt, increase its slow from 20% to 30% and the slow duration to 2 seconds.
Reward: Pulling 4 enemy heroes with a single use of Halt grants all rewards.

Talents level 4:

Repairing fortification (W):
Using Fortify regenerates 10% of your missing health and removes all current debuffs from you.
Shatter glass (E):
When the Protective barrier is destroyed, it deals 170 damage around it.
Energy surge (Q):
Halt deals 120 damage to all pulled enemy heroes. Damage dealt is multiplied per each enemy hero pulled.

Talents level 7:

Null route electricity (W):
Fortify has 2 seconds increased duration. Taking damage during Fortify reflects 20% of the damage taken back at enemies.
Barrier of the guardian (E):
Protective barrier now has 2 charges, 200 increased health and 30% increased width and range. but the cooldown is increased by 4 seconds.
Null driver (Trait):
Basic attacks reduces target's Spell power by 20% as long as you are attacking them.

Talents level 13:

System Overheat (Active):
Activate to gain 15% movement speed and start dealing 220 damage per second to nearby enemies. But it also damages yourself by 110 per second. However, it won't kill you. Lasts 4 seconds and has 30 seconds cooldown.
System overload (Passive):
Increase your Attack speed by 1 and your Attack range by 1.5.
Magnetic plating (W):
Increase Fortify's Armor by 10 and cause it to drag nearby enemies towards you upon activation.

Talents level 16:

Armored Jets (W):
Fortify now grants 20% movement speed and increases your attack speed by 0.5 for the duration.
Endothermic driver (Trait):
Basic attacks slow the target by 5% per each attack up to 60% for 4 seconds.
OR14 Parts (Z):
Passively increases your movement speed by 10%. Activate to gain 100% bonus movement speed that decays over 3 seconds and basic attacks no longer reduces your movement speed for the duration. Lasts 3 seconds and has 30 seconds cooldown.

Talents level 20:

Nullcharger (Heroic R):
Supercharger is now a point-target ability, Silences nearby enemy heroes for 3 seconds upon impact and increases allied heroes' Armor by 25.
NO CROSSING (Heroic R):
STOP is now a point-target ability (Still makes you immobile however), reduce the damage threshold by 500 and if the affected enemy heroes deal the maximum damage, refresh its cooldown and refund its mana cost.
Iron driver (Trait):
Basic attacks increases your Armor by 1 per attack which decays over 3 seconds after not attacking.
Guardian of the gate (E):
Protective barrier now lasts indefinitely and after not taking damage for 1 second, it starts regenerating 150 health per second.

Counters and matchups:

Bad against:

Kerrigan: Impaling blades and Primal grasp can be casted beyond the Protective barrier and counter Orisa easily.
Anub'arak: Burrow charge can be used to both escape and reach Orisa faster. Locust swarm will also counter Orisa easily due to her high health.
Blaze: Oil spill passes through Protective barrier. Orisa can only counter Combustion with Fortify.

Others:
-Heroes with abilities that pierce and/or ignore Protective barrier are dangerous.
-Tankier heroes especially Stitches who currently has the highest health in the game.


Good against:

Illidan: Fusion driver's bonuses remain even if Illidan uses Evade. Also Illidan needs a much stronger strategy to take on Orisa.
Probius: Thanks to Orisa's fast attack speed, Pylons will be destroyed much more quickly. Also Warp rift is completely effectless against Fortify.
Qhira: Revolving sweep's initial cast doesn't pierce Protective barrier. Also Carnage is easy for Orisa to avoid it.

Others:
-Heroes whose abilities doesn't pierce Protective barrier are easily countered.
-Heroes with low mobility are easy to kill.

Works well with:

D.Va: Halt and STOP are great assists for Self-destruct and Big shot.
Kel'Thuzad: Halt and STOP are great assists for Death and Decay and Fissure. Also Kel'Thuzad can save Orisa from danger if she cannot use Fortify yet.

Others
-Heroes with high damage AoE abilities make a great team with Orisa.
-Heroes with great crowd controls are great with Orisa.

Tips and gameplay:

Playing as Orisa:


Orisa is a high health tank hero who can take on the enemy team whether from afar or closed ranges with protective abilities for both herself and her allies.
Ability strategy:
Fusion driver (Trait): Continuously basic attacking the same target increases your Attack speed and Attack speed against them.
Halt (Q): A magnetic surge that drags enemy heroes to it which is good for most AoE combos.
Fortify (W): Become Unstoppable and take less damage.
Protective barrier (E): A barrier that blocks incoming projectiles with short cooldown.
Supercharger (Heroic 1): Increases your and your allied heroes' damage dealt.
STOP (Heroic 2): Makes both you and nearby enemy heroes immobile and punish them for attacking you.

Playing against Orisa:


Despite being a tank, Orisa also deals a moderate damage and can take on enemies by herself.
Halt can be a fatal combo with strong AoE abilities. So try to avoid getting pulled.
Fortify grants Unstoppable for Orisa which makes her immune to most crowd control effects. So have a good timing for your crowd controls.
Protective barrier prevents incoming projectiles but doesn't block abilities that pierces it.
