Praetor Talis

Purifier Adept Hero Concept

Praetor Talis was introduced in the LotV Prologue when she requested Zeratul's help in rescuing captured Templar from a Moebius Foundation facility and fending off attacking Zerg. In the end of the Prologue, she sacrificed herself and her forces to buy time for Zeratul to escape and warn Artanis of Amon's return.
During the End War, her personality matrix was uploaded to a mechanical Purifier body, allowing her to once again fight for the glory of Aiur and the Daelaam.

Talis is an Adept and possesses notable maneuverability but low health.
As an Adept, Talis is designed to be strong against light units. As such, she specializes in killing heroes with low maximum health but struggles against heroes with higher maximum health. Her trait deals additional damage to enemy heroes she damages with her basic attacks and abilities, but suffers a damage penalty based on how high her target's maximum health is.

Basic Attacks and damaging Basic Abilities applies Resonance enemy Heroes. After 2 seconds, Resonance detonates, dealing 50 minus 1% of the target's Maximum Health, damage per stack.
Reapplying Resonance refreshes the duration of existing stacks.

Resonance ignores Armor. Damage amplification or reduction effects are applied to the total damage of Resonance.
Resonance cannot deal less than 2 damage per stack. This scales with level.

Talis fires a glaive in a straight line that deals 100 damage to the first enemy it hits. The glaive will then quickly bounce to up to 3 other nearby enemies, dealing 100 damage each time.
The glaive cannot bounce to enemies it has already hit.

Talis' summons an intangible Shade that will attack nearby enemies, dealing half damage.
The Duplicate
This ability can be reactivated once every 2 seconds to swap positions with the Duplicate, Cleansing Talis in the process.
Psionic Projection can be Revealed as a Duplicate by Revealing effects.

The Duplicate will remain stationary at the position it was summoned in.

Cooldown: 20 sec.
Attack Speed Bonus: +150%
Duration: 4 sec.
Activate to gain 150% additional Attack Speed and become Silenced for 4 seconds.

If Psionic Transfer is active, Talis will still automatically teleport the Image.
Being Cleansed of the Silence removes the Attack Speed bonus.
This ability requires the level 13 talent Weapon Overcharge.

Image Speed: 160%
Creates an intangible psionic Image of Talis that moves from her toward a designated spot at 160% of normal movement speed. Talis will teleport to the Image 5 seconds after the ability is cast.
Talis is able to move while Psionic Transfer is active.
If Talis is put into Stasis, the Image will freeze in place until Talis is released. The Image itself is immune to Stasis.
Psionic Transfer Cleanses Talis when she teleports to it.

Psionic Transfer can be retargeted by reactivating this ability.
Psionic Transfer can be cancelled.

Damage Increase: 60/sec.
Slow: 60%
Talis channels on an enemy Hero, dealing increasing damage over time. The target takes 60 damage per second, increasing by 60 every second, up to 300 damage per second. This ability can be channeled indefinitely so long as Talis has Mana.
Talis' Movement Speed is reduced by 60% while channeling Solar Beam.

Reactivate this ability to cancel it.

[Trait] Debilitation System
Resonance Slows enemies by 20% for 2 seconds.

[Trait] Purifier Ordnance
Resonance deals 200% damage to non-Hero enemies with no damage penalty.

[Q] Accumulating Frequency
? Quest: Kill enemy Minions and Heroes to increase the damage of Ricochet Glaive.
? Reward: Minion kills grant 0.5% additional damage and Hero kills grant 2.5% additional damage, up to 50% additional damage.

[Active] Blink Instigator
Activate while Psionic Transfer is active to teleport Talis to her image instantly.
? Quest: Collect Regeneration Globes to permanently reduce the Mana cost of Psionic Transfer by 2, down to 20.
? Reward: After collecting 20 Regeneration Globes, dealing damage with Resonance reduces the cooldown of Psionic Transfer by 1 second.



Level 4


[Trait] Plasma Siphon
Resonance grants Talis a Shield equal to 50% of the damage dealt to Heroes for 4 seconds.
Resonance deals 200% additional damage to Shields.

[Q] Kinetic Recycling
Each Hero hit by Ricochet Glaive refunds 20 Mana, up to 60 Mana, and reduces its cooldown by 1 second, up to 3 seconds.

[W] Solarite Payload
Increases Scarabs' splash radius by 50%.
Each enemy hit by a Scarab reduces its cooldown by 1 second.

[E] Superposition
Talis gains 25 Armor while Psionic Transfer is active and for 2 seconds after teleporting.



Level 7


[Q] Psionic Stability
? Quest: Hit 30 enemy Heroes with Ricochet Glaive.
? Reward: Ricochet Glaive now bounces 2 additional times and prioritizes enemy Heroes.
? Quest: Hit at least 4 enemy Heroes with a single cast of Ricochet Glaive.
? Reward: Increases Ricochet Glaive's cast range by 2 and bounce range by 1.

[W] Plasma Sling
Increases the cast and chase range of Scarabs by 33%.
Increases the travel speed of Scarabs by 50%.

[E] Psionic Shade
The Image produced by Psionic Transfer is now Invisible to enemies.
While Psionic Transfer is active, Talis can past through units.



Level 13


[Trait] Phase Disruption
Damaging an enemy with Resonance reduces its damage penalty against them by 0.2% of their Maximum Health, stacking up to 1%, for 2 seconds.

[Q] Oscillation Discharge
Ricochet Glaive's final bounce deals 300% damage.
Hitting a Hero with Ricochet Glaive deals its damage in radius of 2.5 around them.

[E] Psionic Surge
The Image produced by Psionic Transfer applies Resonance to enemies it passes through.
Enemies within 3.5 range of Talis' Image take 200 damage and are Stunned for 1 second when Talis teleports to it. This does not apply Resonance.

[Active] Weapon Overcharge
Activate to become Silenced and gain 150% additional Attack Speed for 4 seconds.



Level 16


[Basic Attack] Ranger Adept
Increases Talis' Attack Range by 1.1 and Movement Speed by 10%.
Basic Attacks against Heroes increase this Movement Speed bonus by an additional 5%, up to 30% total, for 3 seconds.

[W] Ionizing Plasma
Scarabs deal additional damage to enemy Heroes equal to 6% of their Maximum Health over 3 seconds. This does not apply Resonance.

[E] Skirmisher
Psionic Transfer now has 3 charges with a 3 second cooldown after teleporting between uses.
Psionic Transfer's duration is reduced to 3 seconds.
Psionic Transfer's cooldown restores all charges but is increased to 24 seconds.

[E] Unshakable
Casting or teleporting with Psionic Transfer makes Talis Unstoppable for 1.5 seconds.



Level 20


[Trait/Basic Attack] Kinetic Overload
Resonance and Basic Attacks deal 50% of the total damage dealt to the target to enemies within a radius of 3.

[Basic Attack] Repeater Cannon
Basic Attacks no longer deal Physical Damage and only apply Resonance, but now launch volleys of 3 projectiles at once.
Resonance's minimum damage is increased to 20.

[R1] Real Image
Psionic Projection now deals 50% of Talis' damage and can be ordered to move and target enemies by activating Talis' trait. The Duplicate does not apply Resonance.

[R2] Purifier Protocol
Reduces the amount Talis is Slowed while channeling Solar Beam to 20% and the tether range is increased by 2.
Solar Beam now deals 50% damage to enemies in a radius of 3 around around the target.
