notes

Thematics
- The underlying concept for this hero was not built around Putress himself, but he seemed the best fit for a character which makes use of both poison and healing.
- many of the talent and ability names are taken from WoW lore. Blight Overload and Barrel of Blight are named after actual abilities he used ingame. Several Talents are themed after the Royal Apothecary Society, Desperate Research was the name of Putress' quest during the build up to WoTLKs release, Ruby Lilacs is a reference to a quest in Dragonblight, Varimathras was the demon he consorted with to take control of Undercity and Reagent Bank is self explanatory if you know of the Reagent Bank in WoW.
- The description isn't quite accurate to WoW lore, I made it from Putress' perspective. (Varimathras was the main conspirator to take the undercity, and Putress did not create the blight all by himself)

Concept Ideology
- Putress grew from an initial concept for Neptulon as part of my stationary hero set, to do with stacking dot effects and then popping them instantly for burst damage. However much I liked the idea though, Neptulon had to remain stationary, and the two ideas just didn't feel like they fit together, so Putress was created instead.
