The Arch-Villain

Rafaam. The Supreme Archaeologist. The Arch-Thief. The Arch-Villain of Hearthstone.
After being defeated by the League of Explorers, he fled and found the Nexus itself!


Rafaam is a Ranged Assassin who depends on dealing Spell Damage with his abilities to deal it with his attacks.

Combat Trait

Gauntlet of Origination (D)

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Passive: Dealing Spell Damage heals Rafaam for 20% of the damage done and charges his Gauntlet by 1%, up to 100%.
Active: Consume the charge and Empower your Basic Attacks, increasing their damage by 20% and making them deal Spell Damage.
Lasts for 0.1 second for each 1% consumed.

Cooldown: 7 seconds
Launch EVIL bolt at the target area, dealing 136 damage to enemies hit and Slowing them by 20% for 1.5 seconds. Empowered Basic Attacks increase the duration of EVIL bolt's Slow on enemies hit by 1 second.

Radius: 2

The time it takes for EVIL bolt to reach the target area depends on the range - from 0.1 to 0.6 seconds.

Curse of Rafaam (W)

Mana: 60
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Curse the target area for 4 seconds. Enemy Heroes within are Cursed. The curse deals 30 damage each 0.5 seconds and lasts for 3 seconds after leaving the area. Empowered Basic Attacks against Cursed enemies who left the area increase the duration of Curse by 0.5 seconds.

Mummy Servant (E)

Mana: 40
Cooldown: 14 seconds
Summon a Mummy that runs forward to the target location for 4 seconds.
If Mummy collides with an enemy Hero while running, it deals 80 damage and Roots them for 1.25 seconds.
If Mummy reaches the area or stops, it digs into the ground after 0.5 seconds, becoming Immune and Untargetable. It catches the first enemy who comes too close, dealing 80 damage and Rooting them for 1.25 seconds.
After Mummy collides with an enemy, catches an enemy or stays in the ground for 10 seconds, it disappears.

Timepiece of Horror (R2)

Mana: 80
Cooldown: 180 seconds
Channel for 1.5 seconds, charging the timepiece. Once channeling finishes, the timepiece becomes charged for 30 seconds. Use this again while the timepiece is charged to throw it into the area. Upon impact, the timepiece detonates, placing everything in the area in Time Stop for 4 seconds.

You can't attack or use abilities while channeling.
Cooldown starts after the timepiece detonates or after its charge expires.

LEVEL 1

EVIL Flames
EVIL bolt ignites enemies, dealing an additional 20% damage over 4 seconds.
?Quest: Empowered Basic Attacks against ignited enemies increase the additional damage by 0.5%, up to a total of 40%.

Supreme Archaeology
After the curse disappears, its area becomes hollow, preventing you from cursing it again. Lasts for 15 seconds.
?Quest: Curse 20 areas of the map.
?Reward: Increase the radius of ?ursed areas by 50% and the duration of Curse by 50%. Areas no longer become hollow.

Angry Servants
Increase the damage of Mummies by 25% and the duration of Root by 0.25 seconds.

LEVEL 4

EVIL Swiftness
Reduce the cooldown of EVIL bolt by 1.5 seconds. If it hits a Hero, gain 15% Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds.

Curse of Power
While inside Cursed areas, Rafaam gains 10% Movement Speed and 10% Attack Speed.

Restless Mummies
Increase the range of Mummies run by 30%. While Mummy runs, gain 15% Movement Speed.

LEVEL 7

EVIL Armor
Each enemy Hero hit wih EVIL bolt grants Rafaam 10 Armor, stacking up to 30. Lasts for 2 seconds.

Arch-Theft
Each time Curse deals damage, Rafaam steals 1 Physical Armor from its target, up to 30 in total. Lasts for 3 seconds.

Perfect Plan
While the Gauntlet is fully charged, gain 10% Attack Speed and 25 Spell Armor.

LEVEL 13

EVIL Synergy
Hitting a Hero with EVIL bolt charges the Gauntlet by an additional 1%.
Empowered Basic Attacks reduce the cooldown of EVIL bolt by 0.5 seconds.

Unstoppable Mummies
Increase the maximum Health of Mummies by 25%. They are Unstoppable while running.

Rafaam's Scheme
While the Gauntlet is fully charged, Basic Attacks reduce the cooldown of Basic Abilities by 0.5 seconds.

LEVEL 16

Lazul's Scheme
Cooldown: 20 seconds
Activate to reveal the targeted area for 3 seconds. Revealed enemy Heroes deal 30% less damage for 3 seconds.
Radius: 8

Togwaggle's Scheme
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Activate to reset the cooldown of your last Basic Ability used.

Dr. Boom's Scheme
Cooldown: 40 seconds
Activate to increase the radius of your next EVIL bolt by 200%.

Hagatha's Scheme
Cooldown: 50 seconds
Activate to curse a large area around you for 4 seconds.
Radius: 6

LEVEL 20

Overpowered
Using Lantern of Power while Empowered doubles its effects.

Timed Protection
Reduce the cooldown of Timepiece of Horror by 60 seconds. Detonation no longer affects Rafaam.

EVIL Power
Gain an additional charge of EVIL bolt and increase its Slow to 40%. Cooldown between charges: 1.5 seconds.

Mirror of Doom
Summoning a Mummy creates a Mirror Portal on its place for 12 seconds.
It summons Mummies each 3 seconds which will run at the same target location as the one you summoned.
