Ragnaros

The Lord of Fire

Ragnaros, in this concept, plays similar to the tone of Azmodan and Abathur.  You have the option to really push lanes, or soak EXP via spreading out your Sons of Flame. 

Ragnaros cannot move.  He must use Submerge to get around, making him very vulnerable to various assassins.  Submerge is a quick cast, but is interrupted by stuns and silences (Abathur's Deep Tunnel basically).  Your playstyle should reflect an extremely aggressive Abathur, in terms of positioning.  Your conservative playstyle may reflect that of a triple/double-lane Lost Vikings.

In terms of gameplay, you'll likely want to push a single lane early.  You sit behind your gate, spawning Sons of Flames.  Eventually objectives happen and Heroes shift positioning.  As Ragnaros, you do not have any meaning teamfight options until lvl10.  Assuming you keep pushing a lane, you spawn a Son of Flame in each lane and Submerge in front of the enemy gate.  Now you would unload Lava Waves into the structures, causing massive Siege damage.  (Lava Wave is wide and has a fairly long range.)

Ragnaros as two very different Heroic abilities:

"World In Flames" causes you to completely destroy a lane of minions, deal moderately-high damage to enemies caught in the path, and causing extremely heavy damage to structures.  You sacrifice your ability to truly teamfight and gain a very powerful tool to force strong minion pushes.  While your team may stall the enemy, you can split-push and force your way through the enemy's lanes.

"The Lord of Fire" is your ability to teamfight, temporarily.  You emerge from the ground and gain new abilities.  With a very high health pool, (even more health than an Avatar-Muradin), you have the damage of an assassin, with the tankiness of a true warrior.  Most of your damage is tied to auto-attacks, making you sacrifice positioning for damage output.  You will want to place Magma Traps behind, or inside teamfights.  Pairing with a team that enables you to stick to a target makes you a truly destructive fighter.  The main sacrifice for this ability is your life ~ you will be extremely vulnerable after the duration ends.

The Realm of Fire
Your Sons of Flame deal 26 (+4 per level) damage to nearby enemies.  Minions defeated near your Sons of Flame collect experience.

Primary Abilities

Magma Blast
Cost: 45 Mana
Cooldown: 12 seconds.

Deals 35 (+15 per level) damage to the target and knocks away nearby enemies.

Son of Flame
Cost: 40 Mana
Recharge Cooldown: 20 seconds.
Max Charges: 2

Spawn a Son of Flame near a friendly target for 20 seconds.  The Son of Flame will duplicate after 10 seconds. and when its duration expires.  These duplicated units may not duplicate and last only 10 seconds.

Lava Wave
Cost: 35 Mana
Cooldown: 6 seconds.

Deals 54 (+14 per level) damage to enemies in a line.  Structures take 100% more damage.

Secondary Abilities

[Heroic] :: Magma Trap
Cooldown: 12 seconds.

Places a magma Trap on the ground.  Players who stand in the trap will trigger it, dealing 40 (+16 per level)damage and stunning them for 1.5 seconds.

[Heroic] :: Lava Scion
Cooldown: 8 seconds.

Summons a Lava Scion to charge towards the target enemy.  The Lava Scion leaves a wake of fire in its path.  Deals 52 (+12 per level) damage to enemies standing in the fire.  If the Lava Scion reaches its the target, it will detonate, dealing 48 (+16 per level) damage to all nearby enemies.

Damage done by Lava Scions heals Ragnaros for 100% of the damage dealt.

[Heroic] :: Empower Sulfuras
Cooldown: 6 seconds.

Your first Basic Attack deals an additional 82 (+30 per level) damage to the target.

Heroic Abilities

Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 70 seconds.

Sends Lava Waves into a single lane, dealing 144 (+35 per level) damage to all enemy units.  Heroes and Structures take 100% additional damage.

The Lord of Fire
Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 120 seconds.

After a short delay, Ragnaros emerges from the ground.  Your Basic Attacks deal 50% of the damage to nearby enemies.  Temporarily gains 200% health points and new abilities.  Lasts 20 seconds.  Cannot submerge while in this form.

Quickly submerge and emerge at a visible location.

Realm of Fire
:  Increase the damage done by "Realm of Fire" by 25%.

Blast Wave:  Whenever Magma Blast kills a target, refund 100% of the Mana cost.

Servants of the Firelord: Your Sons of Flame and Lava Scions take 50% less damage from non-Heroic Sources.

Superheated:  Your Basic Attacks against structures deal an additional 50% damage.

Eruption
:  Magma Blast leaves a pool fire fire on the ground.  Deals 10 (+1.5 per level) damage.

Critical Mass:  Whenever Magma Blast kills a target, your next Magma Blast deals an additional 50% to nearby enemies.

Living Flame: Your Sons of Flame and Lava Scions move 20% faster and heal 3% of your maximum health every time they use their Basic Attack.

Warm Glow:  Your Sons of Flame heal nearby minions and mercenaries for 14 (+6 per level) every second.  Sons of Flame lose 5% of their total health per tick.

Promote:  Activate to give a targeted allied lane minion +300% Health and +100% damage.  Has 2 charges.

Lord of the Flame
:  Realm of Fire is applied to Ragnaros.

Heat Wave:  Lava Wave slows enemies by 90% for 1.5 seconds.

Cripple: Magma Blast slows enemies by 25% for 3.0 seconds.

Gathering Power: Passively gains 5% Ability Power.  Each Hero takedown increases this bonus by 2%, up to a maximum of 15%.  This bonus Ability Power is reset to 5% on death.

Calldown MULE:  Activate to calldown a Mule that repairs structures, one at a time, near target point, for 40 seconds, healing 100 Health every 1 second.  Grants 1 ammo every 3 seconds.

Imposing Presence
:  Enemies that attack you or your Sons of Flame have their Attack Speed slowed by 50% for 3 seconds.

Sprint:  Activate to gain 75% movement speed for 3 sec.  Passively reduces the cooldown of Submerge by 10 seconds.

Cauterizing Flame:  Heal 35% of your total health over 6 seconds.

Consume:  Activate to consume your Son of Flame.  Your next Lava Wave within 6 seconds will not incur a cooldown.

By Fire Be Purged!
:  Magma Blast's knockback radius in increased by 50% and the distance by 100%.

Denizens of the Flame:  Every time a Son of Flame is defeated, another Son of Flame will take its place.  Sons of Flame summoned this way will not duplicate.

Flames of Sulfuras:  Lava Wave deals an additional 30% damage over 3 seconds.

Overdrive:  Activate to increase Ability Power by 25% and Mana costs by 40% by 5 seconds.

Safety Dance
:  World In Flames spreads through all lanes.  Reduces the cooldown of World In Flame by 5 seconds for each enemy Hero hit.

Living Bomb:  Lava Scions deal 50% additional damage and have an increased range of 50% when they detonate.

Too Soon!:  Upon taking fatal damage, Ragnaros will immediately submerge and retreat to the safety of his base.

Dancing Flames:  After submerging, a Son of Flame will spawn at your previous location.
