Reaver

Protoss Artillery Unit

The reaver is a high-damage, long-range specialist that uses an expensive but powerful basic attack to deal damage, and is accompanied by a shuttle that it can use to better navigate the battlefield and avoid danger. The reaver uses a unique resource called minerals to fuel its basic attacks and abilities, and must manage its minerals carefully since they do not automatically regenerate. It also moves slowly and has a low health pool, so it must position itself carefully while making frequent use of the shuttle for maneuvering. However, it can deal extreme amounts of siege and hero damage if left alone. Through its talents, the reaver can specialize in hero damage, siege damage, better control, or attempt to counter some of its weaknesses through stronger shields and a more mobile shuttle.

I've avoided giving specific health and damage numbers since I'm not that familiar with balance. Any feedback is appreciated.

Combat Trait

1
Scarabs
Scarabs:
The reaver's basic attack requires scarabs, and consumes one per attack. The reaver can store up to 5 scarabs at one time, and will automatically construct them as long as it has resources. Each scarab takes 7 seconds to build and costs 15 minerals. Scarabs have a significant travel time, moving 30% faster than a normal hero. Scarabs deal damage to all enemies within 2 range when they reach their target or after they've been travelling for 5 seconds.

Minerals:
Instead of mana, the reaver uses minerals. It can have up to 150 minerals at one time, and they do not regenerate automatically. The reaver gains 75 minerals a second in its team's nexus, 60 minerals when it uses a fountain, 30 when it earns a takedown, 30 when an enemy building within 6 range is destroyed, 15 when it recieves a regeneration globe, and 5 when an enemy minion within 6 range dies.

Other:
The reaver is a heavy artillery unit, and moves 30% slower a normal hero at all times. However, it cannot be slowed or rooted. It also has a basic attack range of 7.5, and its basic attacks deal very high damage. The reaver's basic attack speed is about once every 2.5 seconds.

Primary Abilities

1
Super Scarab
Cost: 30 minerals
Cooldown: 7 seconds

The reaver loads a super scarab to be fired next. Causes the reaver's next basic attack to not consume a normal scarab, deal ability damage instead, and deal 100% bonus damage. Super scarabs move at the same speed and chase for the same mount of time as normal scarabs. The ability cooldown starts after the super scarab is launched.
2
Generate Shield
Cost: None
Cooldown: 10 seconds

The reaver generates a shield equal to 50% of its maximum health that lasts indefinitely. Multiple casts refresh the shield, but don't stack.
3
Disruption Web
Cost: 15 minerals
Cooldown: 20 seconds

The reaver deploys a disruption web in a target area with 2 radius for 5 seconds. Enemies are Blinded while they stand in the disruption web.

Heroic Abilities

1
Reserve Scarabs
Cost: 30 minerals
Cooldown: 45 seconds

The reaver instantly creates 5 scarabs.
2
Warp Drive
Cost: 15 minerals
Cooldown: 60 seconds

The shuttle activates its warp drive, quickly flying to any visible location on the map after a 1 second channel. Cannot be used while the shuttle is destroyed.

Special Mount

1
Shuttle
Cost: 45 minerals
Cooldown: 30 seconds

Construct Shuttle:
Instead of having a mount, the reaver can summon a shuttle to move it around. The shuttle is controlled separately from the reaver, and the reaver cannot attack while inside the shuttle. The shuttle can pick up and drop the reaver within 1.5 range. The cooldown of Construct Shuttle doesn't start until the shuttle is destroyed.

Shuttle:
The shuttle moves 30% faster than a normal hero and is able to travel over terrain. It has a small amount of health, starts regenerating health if not attacked for 10 seconds, and if it is destroyed while the reaver is inside, it drops the reaver at the nearest possible location. The enemy team cannot tell whether the reaver is in the shuttle.
