Reinhardt (WIP)

The Living Tank

Reinhardt Wilhelm is a Very durable frontline warrior who is able prevent oncoming damage to himself and the rest of your team. Positioning is very important on him since you will need to ensure that your shield will block damage going towards your allies. A well timed charge could help ensure a kill, but it can also put you in danger, by over extending easily. All together he will be a difficult hero to master, but once you do he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Combat Trait

D - Barrier Field
You create a large barrier infront of you with 1000 health (+4% per lvl) blocking ranged abilities and auto atacks. This ability can be toggled off and on, you cannot auto attack while it is on but using any abilities will automatically toggle it off. If the shield is killed it goes on cooldown, if it is canceled it does not go on cooldown, but will not return to full health until after 12 seconds.
Mana: 15 per second 
Cooldown: 12 seconds

Primary Abilities

Q - Rocket Hammer
You swing your rocket hammer infront of you dealing 70 damage to all targets it hits.
Mana: 60 
Cooldown: 4 seconds

W - Fire Strike
You hurl a flaming projectile forward by flinging your hammer in front of yourself dealing 150 damage to the first target hit. It also deals 50 damage to very nearby targets.
Mana: 75 
Cooldown: 10 seconds

E - Charge
Reinhardt charges forward in a straight line and grabs the first enemy he hits, and knocking all other enemies hit to the side. Once you hit a wall the ability deals 15% of their maximum health and stunning them for 1 second. This ability cannot be cancelled, so you can only stop by hitting a wall or structure.
Mana: 80 
Cooldown: 20 seconds 

Heroic Abilities

Earthshatter
You slam your hammer towards the ground stunning all targets in a large cone infront of you for 4 seconds and dealing 200 damage to all of them.
Mana: 100 
Cooldown: 80 seconds

Pure Shield
Reinhardt throws down his hammer and focuses all of his energy into creating an ultimate barrier field. This barrier field is about 1.5 times wider and has health equal to your own. it also prevents all forms of projectiles or knock backs from going through, as well as preventing heroes from passing.
Examples: Wiling arrow would stop at the shield and no effect would get by. neither of Falstad's ults would get past the shield. Illidan's Hunt would stop if it hit the sheild. chens ult would not knock it back. you cannot cast anything past it like a blizzard form Jaina or a pufferfish from Murky. NOTHING can get through it. However, your team is able to cast past it, but they are physically blocked by it.

Current Talent Ideas

Lvl 1

[Regenerative Shielding] - D
Collecting regeneration globes increases Health regeneration of your "Barrier" by 2 health per second.

[A Soldier's Might] - Q
"Rocket Hammer" does 100% extra damage to Minions and Mercenaries.

[Fuel for the Fire] - W
Successfully hitting an enemy hero with "Fire Strike" you are refunded 40 mana.

[Regeneration Master]

Lvl 4

[Absorbent Shield] - D
Any damage blocked by your "Barrier" grants you 1% of your maximum mana.

[The Ultimate Block]
Every 5 seconds you can Block a Basic Attack from an enemy Hero, reducing it's damage by 50%. Stores up to 4 charges.

[Adrenaline Charged] -E & Q
After using "Charge" your "rocket hammer" gains a stack, allowing you to uses it multiple times without cooldown. This maxes out at 5 stacks, these stacks go away for each use of the ability.

[Long Arm] The range of your "Rocket Hammer is increased by 10%.

[Amplified Healing]

Lvl 7

[Battle Momentum]
(Battle momentum will not reduce the time it takes for your "Barrier" to reach full health if it is cancelled, but will reduce the cooldown if it is killed.)

[After Burners] - Q, W & E
All of your basic abilities deal an additional 50 damage over 10 seconds. Hitting an opponent who is already affected by this affect with one of your basic abilities, will cause the DoT to refresh.

[Drain Sheilds] - D & additional action button
When your "Barrier" is up you may use this ability to drain the health of your "Barrier" Your Barrier will take damage equal to 5% of it's health per second, and you will gain that in health.
Cooldown: 60 seconds

This is a work in progress, any kind of feedback is welcome. The talents are new and I would like to put in a different talent than rewind in there, but I can't think of anything for that so ideas are welcome! If you like what you see, don't forget to up vote. Thank you!

For the skins, you can use any of his existing Overwatch skins, plus a Warhammer 40,000 - based one.
And a WoW Paladin skin.

4 second stun even on a Heroic ability is OP. It needs to have at least a 2 second casting delay

That's actually a really good point, even ETC has a delay before his mosh pit. I don't think a 2 second delay would quite fit the ult though, so I might lower the stun time and give it a delay before the cast, like ETC. Thanks for the feedback!

Reinhardt should certainly be the next Overwatch character, to be sure. I would strongly recommend that you swap Barrier Field and Rocket Hammer, since a cone AoE attack is kind of similar to Johanna's Punish and Leoric's Skeletal Swing, and Barrier Field makes more sense as a standard ability anyways. Having Reinhardt passively cleave with basic attacks is pretty cool anyways.

I was kind of feeling that way with Rocket hammer, but it's been dificult trying to think of some other abilities to put into him, since the character is limited, and there isn't much lore around him yet. I was thinking about making it so the rocket hammer had lower damage, and was channeled, to change it up. Also, the Barrier field doesn't operated like Johann's Punish at all. It's a shield that will absorb damage, it does not deal damage or slow the enemy like Punish does.

I really like the build, if blizzard actually saw this I think they would love it. however I feel the E should perhaps be more like a Powerslide like ETC's. what do you think?

actually in over watch he takes all the enemies hit and stuns then if they hit a wall and he doesn't take only one, so i dont think it should be like E.T.C

In Overwatch he does not grab all enemies along the way, he grabs the first, and the rest are knocked to the side. However he actually does have a max range to his charge inside of overwatch, I just wanted it to be a mobility tool for him, just as it is in overwatch, not just a stun.
